  1. Me too....
  2. Lifted this from FF, hope that's ok. Thought it was worth posting, seems that the guys who do the Founders Trail are getting abuse from VB. For those who have read the statement from the VB's and the avoidance of doubt i'll try to cover the nonsense that we at the Founders Trail are accused of. We've posted the reasons why many times on RM but the VB's continue to ignore this and are more intent on spreading lies. We as a group took the decision not to take the Founders Trail on to their website as under no circumstances were we wanting the Founders of our Club associated with certain rather obvious elements of that site. The easy thing to do would have been to stop posting on RM but there are many good Bears on there who've taken the Tour with us and we weren't going to deny them access to information relating to our research and subsequent events. We're also accused of A) not mentioning William McBeath on the Tour and B) not giving the VB's credit for the work done at Willie's grave in Lincoln. The fact is we tell William's story in it's entirety during the Tour including at Fleshers Haugh about how he probably organised our first ever match with his fellow ex-pats from his home town of Callander . We visit the location of two of his homes and the old St. Andrews Hall where he received a Gold Badge from his fellow Founders for his part in the inception of our Club. We also as part of our Tour hand-outs, which every passenger receives, have pictures of Willie's grave in Lincoln before and after the work that has been carried out . We acknowledge that ''this fantastic work was carried out by fellow Rangers supporters''. Those who have actually taken the Tour will of course verify this. Those who sit behind their PC's spreading poison in an effort to discredit the Trail and our Founders choose to ignore the facts. Only they know why. We don't mention Celtic during the Tour and we don't mention any website. We aren't interested in inter-website squabbles only spreading the fabulous story about our Founders. The Plaque at Fleshers Haugh and the work carried out was paid for by the world-wide Rangers support and this is highlighted. It belongs to you , the people. We're continually accused of '' Only running the Founders Trail to line the organ-grinder's ( Mark Dingwall) pockets''. Where do you start with this ? it's certainly not listed in our published annual accounts, however our donations to various charities are. If we were robbing Rangers supporters then why is the VB website so keen to be associated with us ? We've asked on countless occasions to be left alone to continue our research and to continue with the celebration of the greatest sporting story of all but they continue to hound us with threats and allegations. What hasn't struck them yet is they're actually doing the work of those whom they proclaim to challenge. Rangers first, at all times.
  3. The one in the grey suit looks like Harry Enfield's " Tim nice but dim".
  4. Also one of my favourite players, a footballer with a brain.
  5. For The Avoidance Of Doubt Posted on August 24, 2013 by billmcmurdo The above words appeared as the title of a media statement by Jim Traynor on the official Rangers website recently. The last sentence of this statement read: “Finally, Jack Irvine of Media House does not speak for this Club.” I will bet that these are words JT wishes he had kept out of his release. Because he certainly cannot say them now. The good news is that Jack’s back. Jack Irvine has been retained by the board of Rangers Football Club in their battle to maintain control of the club against the attempted coup by Messrs McColl, Murray and Blin. The McColl group have been vocal in their determination to oust three Rangers directors and replace them with McColl’s own place men. Their attempt to effectively get control of Rangers without on the cheap has angered many fans. It will be good to see a robust PR defence of the present Rangers regime if only to counter the skewered accounts in media outlets that are hostile to Rangers. The use of the Daily Record by the McColl group – a notoriously anti-Rangers paper despite protestations by Keith Jackson – has left many bluenoses cynical, particularly when the McColl coup has tried to paint itself as speaking for the fans. When I first voiced my own opposition to Jim McColl based on his pro-Independence stance, I was pilloried by many, yet I see more and more Rangers fans are now saying the same thing. McColl’s politics DO matter and it is extremely disingenuous to suggest otherwise. They matter enough for him to use his position to beat the drum for Scotland’s separation from the UK so his very public stance on the matter invites scrutiny. And it is perfectly reasonable to ask why Mr McColl is so interested in a club that is world-famous for its Unionist ethos, especially when that interest was not evident among work colleagues who knew him as a younger man. Apparently Jim McColl contacted Craig Mather to tell him that he was misquoted in yesterday’s Daily Record concerning the intransigence of the McColl coup’s attitude to Mather’s job. Now we are led to believe that the nail on which the Rangers CEO’s jacket hangs might not be so shoogly after all. Quite frankly, Mather doesn’t need that crap and neither do the Rangers support. At a time when the team finally looks to be firing on all cylinders and everybody at Rangers needs to pull together, the destabilising antics of Magnum McColl and Mini Murray are as welcome as toothache. The present Rangers board should be given time to prove their worth. That is my position and I know more and more are saying the same. The club just doesn’t need the upset that the McColl group is bringing at this present moment. Many are making wild speculations about the financial situation at Ibrox but we really won’t know till accounts are published. It’s interesting that Kieran Prior seems satisfied that Mather and Stockbridge are doing a good job. I have no doubt that the accounts will be pored over and people will find stuff in there that they don’t like. Or rather, stuff that backs up their agenda. But the accounts may also show that the club is being run prudently and is in rude health financially. This, of course, will not suit those who have a blind hatred of the current regime. The good news is that lies, smears and agenda-driven propaganda that undermine the Rangers board and thus the club will now be countered in the media. For the avoidance of doubt – Jack’s back. And he does speak for the club. Blog now updated with statement from Irvine Here is a statement from Jack Irvine on his appointment by the board: “The board felt that they were not successfully articulating their defence against the vicious and , at times underhand, attacks of Jim McColl, Frank Blin and Paul Murray. The board also felt that there are huge public misconceptions about the financial realities of the club and once again this was a failure of communication. “Interestingly I have known Jim, Frank and Paul for many, many years and have a huge respect for their abilities in their individual fields. Unfortunately I believe they have now stepped out of their comfort zones and are going to find that the everyday rules of business do not apply in the world of football and the media scrutiny they now face is like nothing they will ever have known in their professional lives. I, and many other observers, are also staggered at the arrogance of men who have invested nothing in the club yet feel they can dictate to directors who have sunk substantial sums into the venture. I am also reminded that some of these individuals had to chance to buy the club for a modest sum yet were repeatedly found wanting. Since then they have done little but damage the club they claim to love. That is reprehensible behaviour and needs to be recognised as such.”
  6. According to BBC twitter McCoist is blaming Green for today's result! Surely not? Anyone heard?
  7. Don't see this posted, Mather to get £500K up from Greens £350K. This is madness and greed.
  8. All Christian denominations are losing members very fast, just look at census returns. Good thing IMO.
  9. Always amazes me how the Rangers unionist supporters keep stum on what the unionist politicians did for Rangers when we needed help.
  10. Good question but I would think not as we have two separate statements. Cannot think why the RST sent out an email to members with both statements, UB should be left to their own devices imo.
  11. Ross County chairman upbeat on league restructuring Comments (11) Scottish football restructuring could be agreed in time for next season, according to Ross County chairman Roy MacGregor. St Mirren and County were the two clubs to veto proposals which would have resulted in a 12-12-18 format. But alternative proposals were discussed at an SPL board meeting on Thursday. "Change isn't a necessity, it's inevitable. We've got to find the right formula," said MacGregor. The proposal rejected for next season would have involved the top two divisions splitting into three leagues of eight midway through the season. A revised financial distribution and the merging of the SPL and SFL were included in the plans. â?? I wouldn't be speaking as optimistically as I am if I didn't believe something would happen â? Roy MacGregor Ross County chairman Despite the failure to push through that proposal, MacGregor is upbeat that change is in the pipeline. "There is a meeting next week and I really believe that something will come back to the table that everyone can buy into," he told BBC Scotland. "I wouldn't be speaking as optimistically as I am if I didn't believe something would happen. "I think it could be in place for next season. The board met and are looking at alternatives. "There was a lot of passion but also a lot at stake for some clubs. Passion is a great thing but I also think there's a unanimity between the clubs and I kept my counsel in the week or two prior to the vote. "I did that, not only because I'm the Ross County chairman, but also a member of the league body. "I have to respect my fellow chairmen who are there to represent the league. They knew my feelings but the wider public didn't. I'm really optimistic that over the next days and weeks we'll see an outcome."
  12. I'm talking about Park! Why is CG still dealing with this guy. He was warned off him last year yet he is still there. Anyone who knows Park knows what I'm on about.
  13. By Craig McDonald Charles Green urged to explain role of former Craig Whyte associate at Rangers From DR. This worries me, he must know JP background. 7 Apr 2013 07:39 JIM PARK has reportedly been working as a consultant at the club but it has been claimed no-one at the club knew of his links to former owner Whyte. Jim Park, in light jacket, with club directors at the Brechin-Rangers game in August FED-UP Rangers fans yesterday called on owner Charles Green to explain the role of a Craig Whyte associate at Ibrox. The saga took a twist last week when Whyte, 41, claimed he used Green as a frontman to buy the club after he caused them to go bust. And the Ibrox hate figure has threatened to sue the Yorkshire businessman for allegedly reneging on the secret deal. Green, 59, denied the claim, although has admitted he told Whyte what he wanted to hear in order to seize control. But the scandal has led fans to query the involvement of twice-bankrupt businessman Jim Park, a lifelong pal of Whyteâ??s dad Tom. The Sunday Mail revealed in August how Whyteâ??s associate joined Green in the directorsâ?? box for a match against Brechin City. Park has held 74 directorships with firms in Scotland, including debt recovery and call centres â?? nearly all of which have been wound up. At the time, the club admitted that the 58-year-old was a â??consultantâ? helping to introduce financial backers to Green. Club sources also said that they had no knowledge of his connection to Whyte. Fans are now questioning that and Rangers Supportersâ?? Association secretary John Macmillan said yesterday of the link: â??It's rather mystifying. â??Itâ??s one hell of a job trying to work out what is going in the background â?? and it would be helpful if Charles Green could come out and explain what the position is here.â? Green painted himself as the saviour of Rangers after Whyteâ??s disastrous tenure saw the club plunged into administration. But the chief executive now faces a battle to regain the trust of fans after it was revealed he was working with Whyte at the start of his bid to buy Rangers. Park, of Dumbarton, often travels on business to Monaco, where Whyte has a luxury home. At the time, a source told us: â??Park has been working as a consultant in the few months since the new regime took over. â??Heâ??s been talking to the top people and introducing potential investors. The Whyte connection was not known to us until today. It is now.â? Park told us: â??I havenâ??t got a role yet with Rangers but I have met with the team who own the club.â? Macmillan added: â??No one wants to see Craig anywhere near Ibrox or getting any shares back â?? but what is happening does raise questions. â??The one thing absolutely clear is that someone is lying. â??If Green has to go to court to prove it, so be it â?? but that has to be the last resort.â? Another fansâ?? chief insisted the timing of new claims by Whyte were motivated by â??vengeanceâ?. Mark Dingwall, of the Rangersâ?? Supporters Trust, said: â??I would love to see Whyte in a court â?? preferably in the dock for what he has done to Rangers. â??I think his timing is motivated by the looming date for season ticket renewals and that he is looking to inflict even more damage on the club, purely for vengeance.â?
  14. I will renew but hope we have a new manager in place.
  15. We get rid of the morons in our support and there is no cringeworthy songs at games therefore nothing for ESPN to highlight.
  16. I have never thought of Super as management material, and so far he has proven me correct. My belief is that CG will act when he sees crowds dwindling and ST sales drop, already you see ST holders empty seats. The football is very very poor, it can not be allowed to go on like this we are missing a great opportunity to have a free flowing attacking team. Our young players are not being best served with our management team IMO. Would hope that when the time comes CG gives Super an easy way out.
  17. BEARGER

    TBO video

This is doing the rounds on twitter. shows the work these guys put in.
  18. It does not have power to ban songs. The RC is tolerated but ignored by the SG e.g. Abortion, gay marriage, clauses 28 etc, etc.
  19. More claptrap and nostalgic nonsense from Leggat. Scotland is now a far more secular country and better for it .
  20. TBO statement is very far from a complete backing of the UB. Reading between the lines it looks like there could be some friction there.
  21. Now passed the 35000 mark. If we ALL put in the effort we can do this.
  22. BEARGER
