  1. This is the leaflet they did not hand out today due to time constraints! Craig Mather and Brian Stockbridge are not Rangers supporters. In fact, Rangers fans actually support them and their lavish lifestyles. Is that what Rangers supporters want? Are Rangers fans happy handing over their hard earned money for Mather and Stockbridge to trouser and sneer and snigger at those supporters behind their expensively manicured hands while Sandy and James Easdale show their contempt by sitting in the directors box at Ibrox? Remember too, what happened to that £22.5million raised from the IPO. It’s gone with the wind. Spent! and Rangers supporters won’t know just how it was spent and who it was handed over to until the independently audited accounts are published. If that ever happens! Surely Rangers fans want accountability. The sort of accountability which £200,000-a-year financial director Brian Stockbridge has been unable or unwilling to provide to fans. Figures which he could suddenly conjure out of thin air and palm off on Charles Green and Imran Ahmad’s favourite poodle of a paper, the Sun. A newspaper which has never asked a difficult question of Green or Ahmad or Mather and Stockbridge and which now prints any old rubbish that low life spin doctor, Toxic Jack Irvine hands them on behalf of the Easdales. Toxic Jack claimed that the sober and shrewd men in the City of London who represent the institutional investors met convicted fraudster Sandy Easdale and were impressed by him. Maybe Toxic Jack believes in the Good Tooth Fairy. Does he think Rangers fans do too? Craig Mather was brought in by the spivs, Imran Ahmad and Charles Green. Brian Stockbridge was brought in by Imran Ahmad and Charles Green. The Easdales were brought in by those same spivs, Imran Ahmad and Charles Green. Ahmad and Green may no longer be visible, but their placements, Craig Mather and Brian Stockbridge remain as chief executive and financial director, while James Easdale has a seat on the board and his convicted fraudster brother, Sandy swans around the City of London bandying the name of Rangers around. Are these the sort of men honest, decent, long standing, staunch and loyal Rangers supporters want in control at Ibrox? If the answer is a resounding, NO, then let them hear you. Let your anger echo around the grand old Stadium, the Ibrox built by those real Rangers men, Bill Struth and Willie Waddell. A stadium which, if Mather and Stockbridge and the Easdales have anything to do with it, will be flogged off to some of their pals and then leased back. It is no longer unthinkable that Rangers may cease to be the owners of Ibrox Stadium. It is a clear and present danger if this gang of spivs and their placemen remain in control of Rangers. Rangers supporters can shift them. Rangers fans can make their anger clear. Don’t think the institutional investors in the City of London are not watching and waiting to see and hear what the Rangers fans have to say. They are! Which means Rangers supporters can play a part in saving Rangers from the spivs. Now, can be your moment!
  2. Work on Erskine Bridge for next ten months or so, will be major delays.
  3. @KalNaismith11: @andymitch8 madness how you can go from being the best player last 7 games of the season to not getting a chance. Keep the head up!!
  4. Just another bit of proof why we need rid of these clowns in our boardroom.

  6. Ok. IMO the present board are not to be trusted. Pigs in the trough as far as I can see.
  7. What else would they say? VB the guys who backed Whyte right to the end, not the best group to get informed opinion from.
  8. Further to the announcement on 10 September 2013, the Company confirms that the Board's discussions have been continuing with representatives of the group who requisitioned (together the "Requisitioners") a general meeting to consider the proposed resolutions ("Requisition") detailed in the announcement on 2 August 2013 ("General Meeting"). The Company can confirm that the Requisitioners have withdrawn the Requisition which put forward resolutions for the removal of Craig Mather, Brian Stockbridge and Bryan Smart as Directors of the Company and for the appointment Frank Blin and Paul Murray as Non-Executive Directors of the Company on the condition that the Company convenes its Annual General Meeting to be held no later than 31 October 2013. The Company confirms that all of the current Directors remain in office and that it is not appointing any additional Directors save that as previously announced, the Company confirms that it continues to actively seek to appoint a new Chairman. Further announcements will be made as appropriate. http://www.londonstockexchange.com/e...entId=11707849
  9. "Borrowed" from FF, hope that's ok. I print below extracts of a couple of emails a chartered accountant pal of mine sent me. He had a look at the December management accounts that were published online, took note of the figures released through the Sun newspaper, took on board comments made at the fans meeting with the directors on 8th August, and the projections made in the Prospectus which accompanied the IPO. You can download his analysis as a spreadsheet using this link - https://www.hightail.com/download/OG...Z1ArV3hwdmNUQw Key issues are: Rangers Retail performance and dividend policy. How much of this 2013/2014 season ticket money is included at June 2013 In simple terms if running costs are £2m per month (£24m per annum) and we have £10m cash at June 2013, we need another £14m receipts in the next 12 months. This looks highly unlikely unless we get some decent dividends from Rangers Retail or large sponsorship funding. I suspect we wont run out of cash until the turn of the year but really need to understand how and when cash is extracted from Rangers Retail. Excluding Rangers retail the coffers will be empty in Q1 next year but there must be a mechanism for extracting cash from Rangers Retail ( probably dividends) but I have no info of the quantum and timing of this cash. Sorry forgot to mention in first email that Rangers retail figures shown include 100% of their figures so we are only entitled to our share (50%) of the profits with the the rest going to Sports Direct (shown as minority interest in the P&L account) Begin forwarded message: Mark, I attach a one page summary of the revenue and cost figures extracted from the management accounts. This highlights how the boards own forecasts for improving results rely almost entirely on a massive improvement in Rangers Retail revenues (from less than £1m first half to £11m second half) and profits (from c £0.5m first half to c £7.0m second half). Excluding Rangers Retail the board forecast an Operating Loss of £5.8m in the second half (c £1m per month) with running costs at £13.3m (£2.2m per month). The cash forecast at June was £15.6m including an assumption of £6.8m of season ticket money for the new season. As you know BS has said the actual balance was only £10m at June but it is highly unlikely anything like £6.8m was received before June so this would account for some of the shortfall. We will need to wait to see the actual results but I would expect the Rangers Retail profit forecasts to be highly optimistic and the running costs to be underestimated given the fees and bonuses agreed since December. There may however be some additional sponsorship income which was not anticipated when these were prepared in January. At least it gives us a much better insight into the the breakdown of revenues and costs. Yours,
  10. Statement from the Rangers Supporters Association, Rangers Supporters Assembly and Rangers Supporters Trust. We are once again in a crucial period in regard to the governance of our club and we call on the Rangers CEO, Craig Mather, to discuss various aspects of the operation of our club which are causing concern for our members. We also call on the CEO to provide supporters with an update on the promised “mini investigation” into alleged defamatory comments regarding John Grieg, the greatest ever Ranger. Additionally, we call on the club to present accounts as quickly as practicable and announce the date of the AGM. We understand current events place a heavy demand on the CEO’s time, however, we believe the concerns of the supporters, the single biggest investors in our club, must be a priority.
  11. Contacted BBC again to say I'm not happy with their response and wish to go to next stage of complaint procedure. Don't let up on this Bears.
  12. I very much doubt it. Share Transfer to Killie Trust Marie Macklin cares passionately about the future of Kilmarnock FC and has always believed that community ownership is the best way forward for local clubs like Kilmarnock. Marie owns 46,677 shares in the club and will gift 45,677 shares to the Killie Trust. She believes that her shareholding on its own provides her with only minor influence but when combined with those shares already owned by the fans, could strengthen their collective voice and enhance their ability to effect change and help Kilmarnock FC in achieving its potential, for the benefit of the club and Kilmarnock as a whole. Marie’s passion for the club is undiminished and, as a businesswoman and life-long fan, she will watch developments at Kilmarnock FC with interest.

  19. Published on September 2nd, 2013 by Andy Muirhead With all eyes on Rangers football club currently, due to the continued ‘political’ infighting between shareholders and the fan base, public relations for the club is needed more than ever. However, even the PR company used by Rangers – Media House – has come under much criticism and increasing calls from Rangers supporters to be sacked due to comments attributed to Jack Irvine, executive chairman of Media House. Scotzine editor Andy Muirhead caught up with Jack Irvine, amid a busy schedule for the PR guru, to discuss his time at Rangers and those who are criticising him. AM: When did you start working with Rangers Football Club? JI: 2006. There had been huge sectarian issues and the football authorities were going to hammer Rangers. There was a danger the team would be playing in empty stadia and face crippling fines. We worked with the legal team to articulate the initiatives from Martin Bain’s management team to curb the sectarian excesses which in turn lessened the possible draconian punishments. AM: We heard from Sir David Murray that he was duped by Craig Whyte in purchasing Rangers from the former Rangers owner – from your point of view and of working with Craig Whyte would you agree with Murray’s statement? JI: Yes I do agree with Sir David. He was led to believe that Craig Whyte was worth in the region of £80million and he had no reason to doubt that. The Bank of Scotland and their boardroom representative saw no problem with Whyte as a buyer and, in fact, couldn’t get the club sold quickly enough. Craig Whyte appeared to be the answer to all of David Murray’s problems. AM: You represented Rangers under Craig Whyte’s tenure at the club which ended with it going into administration and subsequently liquidation – looking back what are your thoughts on your role and Media House’s role during that time? JI: It was a surreal time. I tried to explain to Craig Whyte that he couldn’t possibly run the club himself and I even introduced him to the former Newcastle United Chief Executive Freddie Fletcher who was also a former Rangers man. Freddie would have been magnificent but Craig decided he could do the job himself. Like many businessmen he was totally consumed by The Blue Mist the minute he walked into the boardroom. Media House’s role was what it had always been. Represent the club and its board and attempt to present the good side of the club to the media and public at large. Of course the bad started to outweigh the good very quickly and it was like pushing water uphill. AM: There has been allegations made that Media House and Rangers used friendly journalists to publish positive stories about Rangers and Craig Whyte in particular hiding the truth about the Motherwell businessman – what do you have to say about those allegations? JI: Of course we promoted positive stories – that’s what PR people do the world over. However it didn’t take long for my old newspaper colleagues – and more importantly certain influential bloggers – to find out the truth about Craig Whyte and tell the world. There is no way I could have covered that up or would even have tried to. The dam had burst. AM: Many Rangers fans are now seeing Media House and yourself as culpable in the demise of Rangers under Whyte and are against your continued involvement at the Ibrox club – claiming that you are not there to represent the club but elements on the board? What is your take on this – what is your role at Rangers? JI: That is utter nonsense. We can only work with the tools we are given. Craig Whyte ran the club into the ground although you would have to say he inherited a pretty leaky vessel. Our role at Rangers is crystal clear. We carry out the wishes of the board in an attempt to help the business survive and prosper. However much I sympathise with the agonies the fans are going through, and I speak as one of the original Bond holders, it is not they who instruct me. It is the board. It is naive to think otherwise. AM: A twitter account called Charlotte Fakes has been publishing emails and other correspondence involving you, Whyte, some journalists and Rangers officials – which seem to paint all parties in a bad light. What is your take on what this person is doing? JI: It is illegal. It is a breach of the Data Protection Act and the perpetrator faces serious consequences when he is caught. It is frightening some of the stuff that is going on nowadays on the web. I often wonder what it would have been like in the early 90s when there was the coup to unseat the Celtic board. How would social media have treated that? Would Fergus McCann with his bunnet and squint been given a chance to mount his brilliant strategy or would he have been slaughtered by the fans with laptops? AM: Rangers fans have claimed that the ‘dignified silence’ approach was perpetrated by the likes of Media House and that instead of keeping quiet, you should have gone in all guns blazing. Making demands, threatening legal action etc. What was your approach during Whyte’s reign when negative articles were published? JI: I seem to remember we banned the BBC and if you knew me at all you would know that I am not slow to tell editors and journalists when they are talking bollocks. Lawyers were regularly involved . Do I go out and announce this in the Copland Road to the fans? What do you think? I worked with or trained a lot of the current crop of journalists. I’m not going to publically traduce them although I will make an exception for some of the more stupid ones. AM: Whyte met with several Rangers supporters groups and bloggers who were very friendly to him and backed him to the hilt during his reign at the club – they have now turned on him as if he is the anti-Christ. What is your take on this u-turn by said prominent groups and bloggers? JI: I presume you have certain groups in mind. I can’t think who you are talking about but let’s be fair. The fans loved David Murray then grew to hate him. Ditto Craig Whyte, Ditto Charles Green. So it’s not only bloggers who changed their minds. The economist John Maynard Keynes is alleged to have said, “When the facts change, I change my mind. What do you do, sir?” If that concept was good enough for him I hardly think we can criticise the bloggers. AM: Given the amount of flak, hassle and abuse you have taken – if you could do it all again would you still represent Rangers and Craig Whyte? JI: I have taken flak, hassle and abuse since May 1987 when I launched The Sun in Scotland. I thrive on it and the more I get the stronger it makes me. The answer to “Would you still represent Rangers” is obviously yes as I have just signed up for another season. I come from an East End Rangers family so I guess I’m stuck with it. Would I represent Craig Whyte? Not if I had known what I know now but it’s easy to be clever after the event as I keep reminding certain fans and journalists. Hindsight is a wonderful gift . AM: If you could stand in front of the Rangers fans today and talk to them what about the club and the way it is working and those wanting to take over – what would you say? JI: Give the board a chance. The Chief Executive has sunk a million of his own cash into the club. Fellow director James Easdale and his family have put in even more. Let’s all be mature. I know Frank Blin and Paul Murray are passionate about the club but to quote Mr Churchill: “To jaw jaw is always better than to war war.”
  20. Me too....
  21. Lifted this from FF, hope that's ok. Thought it was worth posting, seems that the guys who do the Founders Trail are getting abuse from VB. For those who have read the statement from the VB's and the avoidance of doubt i'll try to cover the nonsense that we at the Founders Trail are accused of. We've posted the reasons why many times on RM but the VB's continue to ignore this and are more intent on spreading lies. We as a group took the decision not to take the Founders Trail on to their website as under no circumstances were we wanting the Founders of our Club associated with certain rather obvious elements of that site. The easy thing to do would have been to stop posting on RM but there are many good Bears on there who've taken the Tour with us and we weren't going to deny them access to information relating to our research and subsequent events. We're also accused of A) not mentioning William McBeath on the Tour and B) not giving the VB's credit for the work done at Willie's grave in Lincoln. The fact is we tell William's story in it's entirety during the Tour including at Fleshers Haugh about how he probably organised our first ever match with his fellow ex-pats from his home town of Callander . We visit the location of two of his homes and the old St. Andrews Hall where he received a Gold Badge from his fellow Founders for his part in the inception of our Club. We also as part of our Tour hand-outs, which every passenger receives, have pictures of Willie's grave in Lincoln before and after the work that has been carried out . We acknowledge that ''this fantastic work was carried out by fellow Rangers supporters''. Those who have actually taken the Tour will of course verify this. Those who sit behind their PC's spreading poison in an effort to discredit the Trail and our Founders choose to ignore the facts. Only they know why. We don't mention Celtic during the Tour and we don't mention any website. We aren't interested in inter-website squabbles only spreading the fabulous story about our Founders. The Plaque at Fleshers Haugh and the work carried out was paid for by the world-wide Rangers support and this is highlighted. It belongs to you , the people. We're continually accused of '' Only running the Founders Trail to line the organ-grinder's ( Mark Dingwall) pockets''. Where do you start with this ? it's certainly not listed in our published annual accounts, however our donations to various charities are. If we were robbing Rangers supporters then why is the VB website so keen to be associated with us ? We've asked on countless occasions to be left alone to continue our research and to continue with the celebration of the greatest sporting story of all but they continue to hound us with threats and allegations. What hasn't struck them yet is they're actually doing the work of those whom they proclaim to challenge. Rangers first, at all times.
  22. The one in the grey suit looks like Harry Enfield's " Tim nice but dim".
  23. Also one of my favourite players, a footballer with a brain.
  24. For The Avoidance Of Doubt Posted on August 24, 2013 by billmcmurdo The above words appeared as the title of a media statement by Jim Traynor on the official Rangers website recently. The last sentence of this statement read: “Finally, Jack Irvine of Media House does not speak for this Club.” I will bet that these are words JT wishes he had kept out of his release. Because he certainly cannot say them now. The good news is that Jack’s back. Jack Irvine has been retained by the board of Rangers Football Club in their battle to maintain control of the club against the attempted coup by Messrs McColl, Murray and Blin. The McColl group have been vocal in their determination to oust three Rangers directors and replace them with McColl’s own place men. Their attempt to effectively get control of Rangers without on the cheap has angered many fans. It will be good to see a robust PR defence of the present Rangers regime if only to counter the skewered accounts in media outlets that are hostile to Rangers. The use of the Daily Record by the McColl group – a notoriously anti-Rangers paper despite protestations by Keith Jackson – has left many bluenoses cynical, particularly when the McColl coup has tried to paint itself as speaking for the fans. When I first voiced my own opposition to Jim McColl based on his pro-Independence stance, I was pilloried by many, yet I see more and more Rangers fans are now saying the same thing. McColl’s politics DO matter and it is extremely disingenuous to suggest otherwise. They matter enough for him to use his position to beat the drum for Scotland’s separation from the UK so his very public stance on the matter invites scrutiny. And it is perfectly reasonable to ask why Mr McColl is so interested in a club that is world-famous for its Unionist ethos, especially when that interest was not evident among work colleagues who knew him as a younger man. Apparently Jim McColl contacted Craig Mather to tell him that he was misquoted in yesterday’s Daily Record concerning the intransigence of the McColl coup’s attitude to Mather’s job. Now we are led to believe that the nail on which the Rangers CEO’s jacket hangs might not be so shoogly after all. Quite frankly, Mather doesn’t need that crap and neither do the Rangers support. At a time when the team finally looks to be firing on all cylinders and everybody at Rangers needs to pull together, the destabilising antics of Magnum McColl and Mini Murray are as welcome as toothache. The present Rangers board should be given time to prove their worth. That is my position and I know more and more are saying the same. The club just doesn’t need the upset that the McColl group is bringing at this present moment. Many are making wild speculations about the financial situation at Ibrox but we really won’t know till accounts are published. It’s interesting that Kieran Prior seems satisfied that Mather and Stockbridge are doing a good job. I have no doubt that the accounts will be pored over and people will find stuff in there that they don’t like. Or rather, stuff that backs up their agenda. But the accounts may also show that the club is being run prudently and is in rude health financially. This, of course, will not suit those who have a blind hatred of the current regime. The good news is that lies, smears and agenda-driven propaganda that undermine the Rangers board and thus the club will now be countered in the media. For the avoidance of doubt – Jack’s back. And he does speak for the club. Blog now updated with statement from Irvine Here is a statement from Jack Irvine on his appointment by the board: “The board felt that they were not successfully articulating their defence against the vicious and , at times underhand, attacks of Jim McColl, Frank Blin and Paul Murray. The board also felt that there are huge public misconceptions about the financial realities of the club and once again this was a failure of communication. “Interestingly I have known Jim, Frank and Paul for many, many years and have a huge respect for their abilities in their individual fields. Unfortunately I believe they have now stepped out of their comfort zones and are going to find that the everyday rules of business do not apply in the world of football and the media scrutiny they now face is like nothing they will ever have known in their professional lives. I, and many other observers, are also staggered at the arrogance of men who have invested nothing in the club yet feel they can dictate to directors who have sunk substantial sums into the venture. I am also reminded that some of these individuals had to chance to buy the club for a modest sum yet were repeatedly found wanting. Since then they have done little but damage the club they claim to love. That is reprehensible behaviour and needs to be recognised as such.”
