  1. If the spouse is not a member they pay £5 surely?
  2. I don't believe a word that comes form the club at the moment. Thought this bit would be funny if things were not so serious "The Company also wishes to confirm that it respects the rights of all of its shareholders and would not seek to restrict or remove any shareholder rights unless there are legal grounds to do so for a proper purpose", Aye except when they try to propose directors!
  3. Not seen this posted. Where to start with this rubbish? http://www.rangers.co.uk/news/headli...g-shareholders Misleading Statements Regarding Shareholders WRITTEN BY RANGERS FOOTBALL CLUB THE Company is aware of the press speculation following statements made by former directors in relation to the club's shareholders - Blue Pitch Holdings and Margarita Holdings who hold a 12% stake. The statements in the press refer to these shareholders as "mysterious backers" and indicate that institutional shareholders may seek to call an emergency stakeholder meeting to bar the voting rights held by these shareholders. The Company wishes to clarify that the Company has, under section 793 of the Companies Act 2006, addressed requests to funds and nominee shareholders of the Company, including Blue Pitch Holdings and Margarita Holdings asking for details of their shareholdings in the Company. These funds and nominees, including Blue Pitch Holdings and Margarita Holdings, have properly responded to these requests. Grounds for action to be taken against Blue Pitch Holdings or Margarita Holdings for non compliance with a section 793 request have not been established and there is no basis for the Company to seek to impose restrictions on the shares held by these shareholders. In addition, the Company has responded in full to a request from the former directors to provide copies of the responses to the section 793 requests that have been made by the Company. The Company understands that these former directors will, having seen these responses, be aware that there are no grounds to take action to bar voting rights. Institutional shareholders, therefore, would not have a legal basis to convene a general meeting to pass an ordinary resolution to require the Company to take action to bar votes held by these shareholders. The Company also wishes to confirm that it respects the rights of all of its shareholders and would not seek to restrict or remove any shareholder rights unless there are legal grounds to do so for a proper purpose. The Company wishes to reassure fans and shareholders that there is court precedent which provides that shareholder voting rights cannot be removed for the purpose of barring a shareholder from voting at a general or annual general meeting. The company also expresses surprise that former directors and their supporters have stated that there should be no more appointments to the board. Acting Chairman David Somers, following discussions with shareholders is actively seeking to strengthen the board with new appointments and he does this with the support of the majority of shareholders.
  4. Subway Bears: Buchanan St station has no functioning ticket machines, get there early
  5. You guys may well be correct. But the club have advertised the CEO job in today's Herald, closing date for applications was 2 days ago!
  6. Found this on SOS FB and nowhere else so not sure how accurate. CEO interviews were to start 11th Nov as per advert in financial times yet new chairman who only started yesterday claims interviews already taken place???? Strange selection process. I'm banking on shoe horned appointment middle of next week. Thought Mr Somers was to recruit CEO so did he spend yesterday interviewing these candidates?

  8. The removal of the last two directors and replaced with competent honest people. The two that are remaining refused a legitimate proposal for election of directors at the agm, this was illegal as confirmed by judge at court of session. We have a financial director who thinks its ok to spend 25% of the IPO money on expenses, he tells us (eventually) that we will have £1M left by April now minus Mather & Traynor pay offs. I would have thought it would be obvious to every Bear that our directors are incompetent or worse. We need transparency at Ibrox, we need to know who owns fairly large shareholdings and what their plans are as they don't seem to want new money via shares issue (Dave King). I should point out that SOS does not have a membership and was started by two fans who had had enough, its a grass roots campaign. I do not know the guys and have never met them. Look at their FB for info.
  9. Demo will finish early enough for everyone to get to seats and show respect to minutes silence and card display.
  10. From SOS FB SoS Arrangements for Saturdays protest SHARE IF YOU CARE Sons of Struth protest on Saturday. Meet Copland Rd stairs 2.30 for march If buses are in after 2.30 please make way to main door
  11. Aye our squad is wafer thin.
  12. Another cowardly disgraceful decision by our manager. Saturday 3pm when football should be played and now its a dreich dark night in December, get a grip Ally.
  13. Latest from SOS. Looks like we will get enough support on Wednesday night so please congregate at top of stairs outside Copland Rd stand 7.15 prompt. We will march behind one large banner and as many other banners as poss to main door at approx 7.25 allowing a protest then time for seats. Dont rely on others protesting for you, if you agree with our message and going to game then please find the ten minutes to let everyone know how you feel. ACTION NOT APATHY Craig
  14. On SOS FB page. Meet at Copland road stairs at 7.15pm bring banners.
  15. Daily Express saying AGM Wed 18th Dec It is understood Wednesday, December 18 has been fixed as the date for the long-awaited AGM. But fans want to know why there is such a delay, given that Rangers were preparing for an October 24 date. The Jim McColl-Paul Murray group had to go to the Court of Session to force a postponement to include the nomination of four new directors – Paul Murray, Malcolm Murray, Alex Wilson and Scott Murdoch. However, fans are angered that it has taken so long to fix a new date, with Rangers Supporters’ Assembly president Andy Kerr saying: “We’ve been saying for weeks that the meeting needs to be held as quickly as possible, but now it’s going to drag on again. “It’s certainly not helpful and the frustrating aspect is the club was preparing for an October 24 meeting, so why is it taking so long for the rearranged meeting to take place? “If a useful explanation was given, fans and shareholders might understand. But it now seems like prevarication. “All this will do is create more angst and uncertainty between now and the meeting.” Meanwhile, former Rangers chairman Malcolm Murray has warned the club’s mystery shareholders they could be blocked from voting at the AGM unless they reveal their backers. Fans have concerns over two shareholder groups – Blue Pitch Holdings and Margarita Holdings – and fear they may be a front for former chief executive Charles Green or even disgraced ex-owner Craig Whyte. Murray is adamant that, unless Blue Pitch and Margarita, who have around a 12 per cent stake in the club, reveal their backers, Rangers’ institutional shareholders could bar their votes. He said: “In terms of institutions, we do know who the major shareholders are. They are very shy, retiring people. They are Hargreave Hale, Artemis, Reverend Mercantile, Miton, Kames Capital and Laxey Partners. “But if you’re getting after who the mystery shareholders are, the original shareholders brought in by Charles Green, I was told, wealthy Arabs who were quite secretive about their identity. “I’ve met representatives many times over the last few months. They seemed quite reasonable until Charles Green left and then they became very aggressive, and supported the changes on the board which saw me and Phil Cartmell leave and the Easdales coming on. “We don’t know why they changed their mind. All we know is their nominee name, which is Blue Pitch/Margarita, and accounts for about 12 per cent of the holding. We’ve demanded to know who they are but we’ve not been told. “But the big stick we have is that if they won’t tell us, the institutions can demand to know who they are. And if they won’t tell us, those shares won’t get a vote. If there’s nothing to hide, why on earth won’t we be told?” Murray insists the Ibrox club has huge potential if the bitter boardroom power struggle can be ended. He said: “Rangers are gigantic. One of the reasons I was asked to be chairman by the institutions was I was Manchester United’s biggest shareholder. “When I bought a quarter of United, it was almost exactly the same size are Rangers are now. And it has turned out to be a giant global brand. “If you put Rangers and Celtic together, the globalisation is fantastic. We’re acting as a domestic brand. But these are genuinely global.” http://www.express.co.uk/sport/footb...ting-AGM-delay

  17. I'm not impressed at all, don't see us having a "way of playing football". We have better fitter players, that's a given but we don't seem to have a plan for the future.
  18. Did not know that. McMurdo has been bought and sold IMO.
  19. Can't see this posted. On Twitter it's being said that Radio Clyde read out a statement from the toxic man in which he says that " he is fed up Sick and tired with Murray etc. Going on and on about Blue Pitch. And that they asked BP to support them at the agm" This guy is a disgrace, next home game we must make our voices heard.
  20. Paul Murray "Over the last couple of weeks we have attempted to clarify the identity of who is really behind Blue Pitch Holdings and Margarita Holdings. "Having now reviewed the information supplied to us by the club we are unable to identify who is really behind these two companies. "To avoid a further messy and expensive legal process for the club we are now calling upon the board to do the right thing and disclose to everyone who is really in control. "If the board have any desire to rebuild trust with the fans then, in the interests of transparency and in light of everything that has happened in the last couple of years, surely they must realise that they must do this as soon as possible. "If they will not disclose this information then all of the stakeholders in Rangers should ask themselves two simple questions: Why will the board not disclose this information? What do the board have to hide? "This situation can be easily resolved by the board disclosing the necessary information. The fans deserve nothing less. In the meantime we are considering all options to ensure that there is full disclosure."
  21. from their FB page... PLEASE SHARE WITH ALL WHO SUPPORT SONS OF STRUTH Due to todays press statements we have been urged by our followers to take action, we will have a meeting of SoS supporters at 7.15pm prompt tonight at the Copland road stairs. We urge all who support what we do and are concerned about the club to be in attendance. We would ask all to bring as many as possible.
  22. Seemingly it's a cost cutting exercise, no laughing at the back!! Rangers board's spokesman says, "Directors are looking at a range of cost-cutting measures. Jim #Traynor's departure is part of that."
