Jack has experience does he not? If the manager left out both players because he though Lundstram & Kamara were better we are in trouble. -

I agree that you start your best team and replace during game, not the other way round. -

What team would you have selected? I’m assuming that Jack and Raskin were carrying injuries and not fully fit. Got to say though, the previous manager did the same, waited till we were getting beat and then brought on Jack. -

https://www.glasgowtimes.co.uk/sport/23346664.rangers-transfer-target-kevin-mantilla-opens-potential-move/ Rangers transfer target Kevin Mantilla breaks silence on potential Ibrox move (Image: PA) Rangers transfer target Kevin Mantilla has broken his silence on being linked with a move to Ibrox and admitted he knows about interest from European clubs. The 19-year-old central defender is rated as one of the best young prospects in South America and helped Colombia reach the semi-finals of the CONMEBOL Under 20s Championship this month. The Santa Fe stopper was linked with a move to Rangers this week and was previously touted for a transfer to Liverpool last month too. Clubs in Italy, Portugal and Greece have also been credited with an interest in Mantilla and his club reportedly rejected a £1.5 million offer from Olympiakos last month. But Mantilla has insisted he is only concentrating on playing for his club in Bogota and not thinking about linking up with Colombian countryman Alfredo Morelos at Rangers...for now. He said: "I am very calm about all the transfer interest. It's all in the hands of God. "I know which teams are interested in me in Europe and it's very nice to hear about them. I have been kept informed about who have asked about me. "My head is with Santa Fe though. It's important for me to concentrate on the season ahead with them. "I will wait to see if one of the clubs who are interested in me make a firm proposal, but for now I can't do anything. "We want to win the league this season. I am only a young player and I have a lot to learn. At the moment, the best place for me to do that is here in Colombia. "But of course, the truth is that I do dream of one day taking the leap to European football." Mantilla, who has been capped 15 times for Colombia Under 20s, has played 26 games for his club.

Poll: Club 1872 Affirmation Dear Contributor, The Club 1872 Articles of Association allow for up to one half of the serving board to seek affirmation for another term. Under the Articles, voted for by Contributors, this means that up to two existing directors can seek affirmation. The Club 1872 Board is delighted to announce that it has been agreed that Laura Fawkes will put herself forward for affirmation by Contributors following the end of her current term. If affirmed, Laura will serve one further term on the Club 1872 Board. Should she wish to continue beyond that time she would have to submit herself for election in line with the Club 1872 constitution. Laura has prepared the following statement to Contributors in support of her affirmation. “I am proud to have the support of my fellow Club 1872 Directors to put myself forward to Contributors for affirmation. It has been a great pleasure to serve with the current Directors, who share the same passion for fan representation at Rangers as I do. We have worked extremely well together and I hope I will be given the opportunity by Contributors to continue that work. I believe that stability is important even as we try to encourage more people to become involved with Club 1872 through working groups and the Board. I know that view is shared by my fellow Directors. Being a Club 1872 Director is a challenging role, but one which I passionately believe is vitally important. Club 1872 has had many challenges since its formation and many ups and downs but has been able to remain as the sixth largest shareholder in Rangers despite unprecedented levels of shareholder investment into the club during that time. During my time on the Board, Club 1872 has raised millions of pounds from our loyal Contributors which has both directly benefited Rangers and also led to the supporters retaining a crucial shareholding in the club. In the coming months and years it is my hope that we will see an increase in the shareholding of Club 1872 and, if given the opportunity by Contributors, I will continue to work hard to make that a reality. I believe that we now have the building blocks in place to take the organisation forward and there are many opportunities for growth with our digital marketing campaign, which is starting to bear fruit. Our recent survey has shown the importance of supporter representation at the club and we have plans in place to take that type of engagement forward, which I hope to be able to see through with your support. Despite the harsh economic climate and all the challenges people have faced over the past few years, I am hugely grateful to all of our thousands of Contributors who have kept supporter representation high on their list of priorities. I hope to be given the opportunity to represent you as the Club 1872 Board puts your views and priorities directly to the current custodians of the club. It is essential that we all work together for the benefit of Rangers Football Club and that will be my focus if I am granted another term." The poll will close at midnight on 1st March 2023. Contributors can vote by logging into their Club 1872 account on the website and following the link to vote. Alternatively you can follow the Surveys link in the My Account area of the site. Poll Result : Ibrox Safe Standing Dear Contributor, Club 1872 recently polled members on whether they support the introduction of safe standing at Ibrox Stadium. The results were as follows: Yes - 83.85% No - 16.15% Guided by the wishes of our Contributors, the Club 1872 Board will now write to Rangers requesting an official update on the feasibility study the Rangers Executive Team carried out into safe standing prior to the Covid pandemic. We will also immediately investigate how Club 1872 could assist in funding safe standing being introduced to Ibrox. Club 1872 has substantial funds available and would be willing to discuss providing these on the same basis as other major investors in RIFC, particularly for capital expenditure which prioritises the wishes of our Contributors and the wider support. Poll: Ibrox Safe Standing Dear Contributor, Following our recent survey, in which 75% of Contributors indicated their support for Safe Standing being introduced at Ibrox, we are, as promised, holding a formal Club 1872 poll on the subject. Our last contact with Rangers on this matter was several years ago when they indicated that a feasibility study was being carried out. If Contributors indicate their support for the introduction of Safe Standing then we will immediately contact Rangers for an update on the feasibility study they carried out a number of years ago and to clarify what the Club’s official position currently is. We will also investigate how Club 1872 might facilitate safe standing being introduced through both lobbying the Rangers hierarchy and investigating funding options. Voting will close on Thursday 23rd February at midnight. Contributors can vote by logging into their Club 1872 account on the website and following the link to vote. Alternatively you can follow the Surveys link in the My Account area of the site. Club 1872

Dave King Share Agreement Dear Contributor, We can confirm that Dave King has terminated the agreement with Club 1872 to purchase his shares. Whilst disappointed at this outcome, we acknowledge that Dave and his Trustees had the legal right to withdraw under the agreement, as Club 1872 did not reach the minimum required purchases for the first two years of the agreement. We were pleased to be able to increase the Club 1872 shareholding significantly, at a substantial discount of 20p per share, during the period of the agreement and under extremely challenging circumstances. We would like to thank Dave for the opportunity he presented to supporters and we will now focus on increasing the Club 1872 shareholding through other avenues. The Club 1872 Board has already indentified a number of opportunities to do so and we will be communicating further with Contributors in the coming days. Club 1872

FOUR million more shares have been issued in Rangers' holding company - at a cost of £1million. The latest transaction in Rangers International Football Club PLC went through at the end of last month and was communicated on Companies House today. A total of four million shares were alotted - and bought at 25p per share. It's the first such transaction this year, and comes after similar allotments in two tranches of five million (£1.25m) and four million (£1m) in January and February of last year. It’s not known if the shares are being issued for cash investment or for the conversion of previous loans into equity. It comes after the Ibrox side announced their most positive set of results in a decade at the end of last year. The headline figure from the club's year-long figures up to the end of June was a turnover of £86.8million - a club record. That saw an operating profit of £5.9million - compared to an operational loss of £23.5m for the 12 months which immediately preceded it. And those figures didn't include the sales of Calvin Bassey and Joe Aribo - and this season's Champions League money. The club saw a modest but important investment in players last month with the arrival of Todd Cantwell and Nicolas Raskin. The likes of Douglas Park and John Bennett have previously committed to providing additional loan facilities to meet shortfalls but Gers last year hailed the success of the player-trading model. Park wrote in his annual report notes: "Off the field, and allied to performance on the pitch, we have continued to make enormous strides. "I am delighted to be reporting a Club record turnover of £86.8m for the year to 30 June 2022. "From this revenue, we returned an Operating Profit of £5.9m which represents an improvement of £27.6m on last year’s operating loss. "This demonstrates the success and progress achieved over the last 12 months. "During the year to 30 June 2022, we have raised new equity of £10.1m and taken on new debt of £3.6m to strengthen our financial position.”
