  1. Not at all. But they are naive in the extreme to expect anything else.
  2. The RFB should stop embarrassing themselves.
  3. RST Statement on EGM 6th February 2015 Now that the date of the Rangers EGM has been set for the 4th March, the Rangers Supporters Trust would once again like to reiterate how important it is for fan shareholders to cast their vote. Again this board has shown its utter contempt for the 5,000 small shareholders in Rangers by holding the upcoming EGM in London. This can only be designed to make it much more difficult for fan shareholders to have their say at perhaps the most critical time in the club's history. They will now have to incur costs to attend, will have to proxy their votes to those attending or will have to cast their votes by post. The RST will be contacting all these shareholders directly within the next week to provide detailed guidance on how to make sure their vote counts and we urge them to do nothing until they receive this guidance, unless of course they are 100% sure how to effectively cast their vote. We will also be contacting the Nomad, WH Ireland, over the weekend to express our displeasure at the EGM arrangements. Not only have they made it difficult and costly for shareholders based in Scotland to attend, they have also failed to make adequate arrangements for those who may wish to travel. Also, we note the venue holds only 500 people. There were more than 2000 in attendance at the recent AGM and even more at the AGM in 2013. We will be seeking clarity from the Nomad on what arrangements will be made if more than 500 shareholders turn up - something we fully expect to happen because it is essential for shareholders to vote. Clearly this board are afraid and are counting on the possibility that many fans will be put off by the venue. But let's show them that the Rangers’ shareholder base is up for the fight. Our message is simple, wait for guidance and then move swiftly and decisively to cast your vote or your proxy to remove the toxic individuals currently inhabiting the boardroom.

  5. In London, pathetic attempt to stop small shareholders attending. Hope the RST etc. get organised and quickly for proxy votes.
  6. Shit, going to miss this out of the country. Will proxy my shares to RST though.
  7. Rangers board not picking the team, says chief executive Rangers chief executive Derek Llambias insists manager Kenny McDowall is wrong to say he has been instructed to pick five loan signings made from Newcastle. McDowall claimed Llambias and chairman Sandy Easdale told him the quintet - whose parent club are owned by Ibrox shareholder Mike Ashley - must play. But Llambias said: "There's no way the board is picking the team. "In any loan the players bolster the side and give the squad more depth. That's exactly what is happening here." Midfielders Gael Bigirimana and Haris Vuckic and defenders Kevin Mbabu, Remie Streete and Shane Ferguson joined from the English Premier League side on Monday. Llambias, who was previously chief executive at Newcastle, is one of two Ashley associates on the Rangers board, alongside finance director Barry Leach. Interim manager McDowall, who took over from Ally McCoist when he was placed on gardening leave on 19 January, recently handed in his notice to resign. He is now working a 12-month notice period. "I have handed in my notice and have told the guys I am happy to take the team. So I am not going to complain," McDowall said at a Thursday morning media conference. Background What does Mike Ashley's £10m loan mean for Rangers? "I will carry out the instructions that they give me and do my best. I have a job to do and I am happy to do it. "The boys have come up to play and they will play. That's just how it is." Ashley's Sports Direct, who own 8.92% of the Ibrox outfit, agreed to provide a £10m loan in January to ensure the Scottish Championship club stays in business. While £5m has been drawn as immediate working capital, the influx of cash was also used to repay a £3m loan made by the retail company last year. In return, Sports Direct got security over the Scottish Championship club's Murray Park training ground, registered trademarks and other properties. Rangers also gave them, for the duration of the loan, a further 26% of shares in Rangers Retail Limited, 49% of which was already owned by Sports Direct
  8. All should be at the demo at main doors , not spread out at every entrance just in case some young nutters decide to cause aggro.
  9. Now is not the time to back off, we must use all available ways of putting pressure on the ****s.
  10. RST Statement on Old Firm Violence 3rd February 2015 The Rangers Supporters Trust (RST) is extremely concerned at some of the incidents surrounding the Old Firm game at the weekend. We spoke last week about our fears that certain elements in the Celtic support were using the internet to raise sectarian tension ahead of the fixture. Sadly our concerns appear to have been well founded. First of all, we would like an explanation of how the Green Brigade were once again allowed to bring an offensive, sectarian banner into the game? This group has previous for openly supporting Irish Republican terrorism, disrupting Remembrance Day, and overt sectarian behaviour. If a Rangers fan group consistently disgraced our club with offensive, sectarian banners, we would expect the club to take decisive action. Not only does Celtic Football Club tolerate the Green Brigade, they encourage them and facilitate their displays. The use of the term “Hun” on the banner in question, despite some apologists in Scottish politics and the media playing down its significance, is clearly sectarian. Its origins in Northern Ireland are well known. All anti sectarian charities acknowledge that it is a sectarian term. We will not accept it as 'banter'. Furthermore, the use of the term “monkeys” to describe Rangers fans on another Green Brigade banner has clear parallels with historic racist language. The purpose of the terms used by the Green Brigade - “monkeys” and “huns” - is to dehumanise Rangers fans. In addition to the Green Brigade, we highlighted the likes of Phil MacGiollabhain, Angela Haggerty and others using dehumanising language online ahead of the fixture. Rangers fans are described regularly as “the klan”, references are made to “Stalag Sevco” and “fascists”. Again the clear purpose is to characterise Rangers fans as less than human or liken them to the worst elements of humanity – in other words, fair game for the hard of thinking who the writers seek to, and in some cases successfully, influence. The effect of this is clear. A ten year old Rangers fan bottled by Celtic fans who forced their way onto a Rangers supporters’ bus. Another Rangers fan assaulted outside a pub by Celtic fans and hospitalised with possible brain damage. Nacho Novo once again threatened online. Curiously, instead of accurate media reporting, we see some outlets refer to the perpetrators as “rival fans”. It is quite clear that a minority of morons in the Celtic support are listening to, and acting on, the bile churned out by MacGiollabhain, Haggerty and the Green Brigade. Instead of ineffective legislation which produces inconsistent and at times bizarre outcomes, the Scottish government should be educating the next generation of Old Firm fans on why sectarianism is not acceptable. In addition, they should be clamping down on the online hate campaign waged by certain individuals and dealing with the type of organised, premeditated sectarianism perpetrated by groups like the Green Brigade. The overwhelming majority of Old Firm fans, and indeed all Scottish football fans, are decent people who love their club. They are often targeted for disgraceful treatment and demonised whilst the real culprits are ignored. We thank the Celtic fan who started a collection for the young Rangers fan attacked at the weekend. We hope his club and the police will start to take the actions of online hate-mongers and the disgraceful, sectarian Green Brigade seriously and belatedly deal with them. - See more at: https://www.therst.co.uk/news/rst-statement-on-old-firm-violence/#sthash.JOxr8LGc.dpuf
  11. SoS reporting that the Rangers do not know how much these guys will cost us and that they were hawked round Engkish clubs first with no takers. Ashley still to let club know cost!
  12. We are light years behind them in every way, on and off the park.
  13. Mate is moving house. Gave me a bundle, late 1960's to early 90's. Mostly just Scottish league & cup games but some European e.g. Bayern Munich, Moscow Dynamo, Zurich, Newcastle, Bilbao etc. etc. Anyone wants them, let me know.
  14. Anyone collect them?
  15. I must be missing something here. Who has been insulted and by whom ? Handbags?
  16. CONFIRMED PLAYERS - NOT SIGNED AS YET!!!!! Facundo Ferreyra - ST Haris Vuckic - LM Curtis Good - CB Remie Streete - RB Gael Bigirimana - CM Kevin Mbabu - RB
  17. I had a wee look at the CV's earlier today. Some IMO on paper were excellent others I'm afraid very very poor, it make me wonder what those who did not get selected to stand were like.
  18. The club decided who would vote, the club decided who would pick those that could stand for election. If you have someone in this case a minister deciding who can stand then it's not an election in my book.
  19. These people have no principles, they are blazer chasers. We have all met their type during our time.
  20. The candidates were hand picked were they not? In all my critisisms of RFB you are exempt, I know why you stood for selection/election.
  21. Not all RFB were aware of the meeting!!!! Only 3 members of RFB were able to attend, one reason being "a request of confidentiality by Rangers board members". What does that mean? They don't trust some of their hand picked RFB members?
  22. And I thought it would not be successful
