  4. It’s 15!! Below is the criteria that was required for a candidate to stand for election as as Club 1872 Board Director in the last Board elections which took place in May/June 2021. I can't confirm that the same criteria will be used in any future elections at this moment in time but I can't see it being any less that this. 'Candidates require 15 proposers to support their application. Candidates and proposers must be either life members or have been donating monthly contributors of Club 1872 for a continuous period of at least six months prior to the date of this notice. Candidates must be capable of being appointed as a director of a company.' Hope this helps. Regards Lilian Club 1872 Admin Assistant
  5. Daily Record Follow Who is Chris Willock? Rangers target with Arsene Wenger's Arsenal seal of approval offers Ryan Kent exit solution Story by Mark Pirie • 1h ago Who is Chris Willock? Rangers target with Arsene Wenger's Arsenal seal of approval offers Ryan Kent exit solution© PA Rangers bosss Michael Beale is set to raid his former club QPR for forward Chris Willock as he kickstarts his summer rebuild at Ibrox. The 25-year-old QPR star has made it clear to his boss and Loftus Road chiefs that he is keen to make the move to the Scottish Premiership to reunited with his former boss in Govan as he nears the end of his current contract. The English Championship side have an option to extend his contract by another year, but Record Sport understands Beale will be able to snap up Willock for a bargain fee this summer. The Rangers boss faces a jam-packed summer with a host of players set to leave the club as free agents, and Willock is rapidly moving up the summer wishlist after Beale's scouting mission to watching his former side during the draw with Norwich. Kieran Dowell has also been floated as target, with the midfield engine room set for a massive overhaul at the end of the campaign. But who is the latest name to be on the Rangers wishlist? Record Sport takes a look. Who is Chris Willock? The Arsenal academy graduate Willock was handed his first team shot by legendary boss Arsene Wenger and was tipped for big things as a teenager. Back in 2014 the Frenchman insisted the England youth cap was perfect for the Gunners. Wenger said back at the time: "Technically and tactically he integrated very well. Of course it's natural that he lacks a bit of power at that age but when he gets that he will be a very interesting player." At the time he was working under coach Neil Banfield - who is currently a part of Michael Beale's Rangers backroom team. Despite the lofty seal of approval, he would fail to make his breakthrough into the first team at the Emirates and left North London for Benfica in 2017. But, despite signing a five year deal in Lisbon, he struggled to make a top team breakthrough before returning to England two years later on loan deals with West Brom and Huddersfield. Related video: Arsenal defender BANNED from training, insight behind Graham Potter's sacking | Chris Wheatley Show (Dailymotion) Those performance would convince Mark Warburton to splash £750,000 to sign Willock on a permanent deal with QPR in 2020. Beale would then inherit the winger when he took charge at Loftus Road. What has Michael Beale said about him? It's safe to say he's a fan. During his brief stint at QPR Beale gave Willock top billing, stating: "Chris is one of the better players in the league. He has been excellent this year and scored some great goals coming back." Beale brought the best out of Willock during his four months at the club. Willock netted six goals in nine games to fire the club top of the table, before his season was derailed by a hamstring injury. What type of player is he? Willock has developed into a winger who dominates the left hand side of the park, and could be seen as a replacement for Ryan Kent as the Ibrox star nears the end of his contract. Willock appears to be one of the most technically sound players in he Championship this term. Willock is has one of the best passing accuracies in the league with over 78 per cent of his searching balls finding their teammates according to Wyscout. The 25-year-old is among the top crossers in the division whipping in 3.59 cross on average per 90 minutes with an accuracy of 28.99 per cent. His crossing accuracy ranks among the best in the league, only being kept off top spot by Burnley's Manuel Benson - who helped the side lift the league title. What can he offer that Ryan Kent doesn't? While Ryan Kent's scoring record and action inside the box has been criticised this season, Willock is more than a pass-master. He has takes on average three key touches in the penalty area, which has seen him rewarded with six goals so far this term. He is happy to take a man on - going into the second most offensive duals in the league with a 39 per cent rate of shrugging off his marker. He also boasts a 57.77 per cent success rate with his dribbles as he carries the ball forward. Willock is far from shot shy - as he tries his luck from the edge of the box and is happy to take the ball into the area. He has an xG of 3.58 when dribbling into the attacking third, taking 43 shots after 123 dribbles this term.

  9. Joint Statement - Club 1872, Union Bears and RSA Dear Contributor, The Union Bears, Club 1872 and the Rangers Supporters Association (RSA) have held a series of very constructive meetings over the past few weeks, sharing our experiences and concerns about the direction of the club over the last couple of years. We are all agreed on our wish for greater accountability, competence and transparency from the leadership of the club. We would like to welcome John Bennett to his new role as Chairman and express our hope that he will engage with supporters and make the required changes to ensure that his publicly articulated vision of a “best in class” Rangers will become a reality. It is our shared view that there is a lot of work to be done for that to be the case. For our own part, we all stand ready to engage constructively with Mr Bennett and share our perspectives with him. We hope that process will begin very shortly. We all want Rangers to thrive and succeed and we hope that constructive, open and honest dialogue will be a priority for the new Chairman. Club 1872

  12. Who apart from Dave King would have 1,250,000 shares to sell to Club1872?
  13. Club 1872 Share Purchase Dear Contributor, Club 1872 can today announce the purchase of 1,250,000 shares from a private seller at the price of 20p per share for a total of £250,000. This represents a 20% discount on the price that shares are currently being issued by the RIFC Board and takes Club 1872 back above 5% shareholding in RIFC. Although RIFC has held three small share issues already in this calendar year, and although we remain in the process of trying to organise a meeting with the RIFC Board, Club 1872 has not been asked to participate. We were also not aware of the existence of these share issues prior to the detail being posted on Companies House. We cannot therefore provide any information to Contributors or the wider support at this time on the purpose of this fund raising. In the absence of shares being on offer from RIFC, the Club 1872 Board has been working hard to find avenues to continue to grow our shareholding and fulfil the core purpose of Club 1872 Shares CIC. We would like to thank the private seller for their support of Club 1872 and their wish to see their shares remain in the hands of supporters. The Board would also like to once again thank our Contributors for their dedication to Club 1872, which allows us to remain a major shareholder in RIFC. We would encourage all Rangers supporters to join Club 1872 in order to retain a crucial, major shareholder voice in the club we all love. Club 1872

  17. I like Beale but he does have a tendency to speak too much at times. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/65351065 Rangers close to 'one or two' signings as Michael Beale hints of future of McGregor, Morelos Kent Michael Beale admits Allan McGregor and striker Alfredo Morelos might not be at Ibrox next season Rangers are close to sealing "one or two" signings that will secure "new faces" at pre-season training, manager Michael Beale has revealed. Speaking to Sky Sports, Beale also addressed the futures of three out-of-contract players - Allan McGregor, Alfredo Morelos and Ryan Kent. "Last week everyone that played - barring maybe Alfredo and Allan - will be a Rangers player next season," he said. Kent did not play against St Mirren. Burnley, who are heading back to the Premier League after clinching promotion, are the latest club to be linked with the winger, who will also miss Sunday's Scottish Premiership visit to Aberdeen, but is likely to return from injury for the Scottish Cup semi-final against Celtic. Aberdeen seek appeal changes as Beale has say Beale said he knew nothing of such interest and told reporters: "There's no news on Ryan's future and I'm sure, when there is, it will be announced officially." Asked if he is still confident he can persuade the 26-year-old to extend his five-year stay at Ibrox, the manager replied: "It is not a matter of persuading. It is about having a conversation and making sure we are on the same page." In addition to veteran goalkeeper McGregor and striker Morelos, Scott Arfield and fellow midfielder Malik Tillman, who is on loan from Bayern Munich, were out-of-contract players who featured in Saturday's 5-2 win over St Mirren. Scotland international Ryan Jack, fellow midfielder Steven Davis and centre-back Filip Helander, all currently sidelined, are the other first-team squad members whose deals run out this summer and Beale promised again "there will be change" to his squad and "we are getting closer to that". Confirming he had been in Rome this week watching potential signing targets, he said: "Talks are ongoing. There are one or two things we are close to sealing, so I'm really happy." Beale suggested that this month's departure of sporting director Ross Wilson to Nottingham Forest had added "about 10% to his workload". However, he stressed: "I love recruitment. I've been heavily involved. Ross would deal more with the agents and with the negotiations side. I would deal more with the player in terms of does he fit and what I would want from him. "I have someone else doing the negotiation part and I go on the road and meet the players, as I've always done. But we've got really good infrastructure and really good staff, so Ross leaving is not maybe as big as some would make out."

The news came as football finance expert Kieran Maguire insisted there ISN'T such a huge gap in the finances of Rangers and Celtic. He told the BBC Scottish Football Podcast: "There was only a £4million difference in the 2022 accounts but my understanding is that Rangers' wage bill was heavily incentivised towards achieving success in getting to the Europa League Final as well as winning the Premiership. "There were some advantages that the club has had in the past couple of years which have accelerated the wage bill.
