The SFA are a joke. They now have more than enough evidence to slap this vile bigot with a proper ban, and I'm talking a 6 game touchline ban at the least. We all know he'll get nothing of the sort though. Now, now, 'Lenny, off you go son....'

I think it's perfectly fair to say we got out of jail last night with Hearts winning. A dreadful performance and a downright hammering at home, yet we somehow remain clear at the top of the table. I'd certainly have taken top of the league before kick-off last night.
-
Another viewpoint - we get our home non-performance of the season out the way (a la ICT March 2009) and remain none the worse for it. We need to get back in the groove soon though.

Just read more from Sidemooth on the BBC website, including the line below which made me laugh out loud at my desk (well, nearly): "The feeling I got from the fans tonight is that they want me here, so I'm quite happy about that." What, all 5,900 of them? Comical Ali McGhee in full: http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/a/aberdeen/9173978.stm

Heard him on the radio this morning, what a treat. I think the man is falling apart. Which is nice.

Surprised their brains didn't fuse.

Anyone else miss the days when it was about the football?
Norris Cole posted a topic in Rangers Chat
Another November, another Poppygate in the Scottish game. Well, Penaltygate could only stretch out for so long. As much as I am as disgusted as the next decent person about the latest antics of FC Oppressedââ?¬â?¢s supporters, with their most recent ââ?¬Å?politicalââ?¬Â banner unveiled at Torbett Towers on Saturday, Iââ?¬â?¢ve lost count of the number of weeks, season after season, that are now dominated by issues other than the football itself. This is slightly hypocritical coming from myself, as someone who has written a letter or two in the past over things such as The Famine Song and, indeed, the Rememberance ââ?¬Ë?applauseââ?¬â?¢ at Falkirk last year. But I canââ?¬â?¢t think of any other season, even 2007/08, where the football has taken such a back seat, and weââ?¬â?¢re barely three months into the campaign. Our magnificent win at the Piggery last month was airbrushed away within hours and the actual football has had to sacrifice centre stage ever since. Of course it doesnââ?¬â?¢t help that our atrocious ââ?¬Ë?mediaââ?¬â?¢ is not only entirely complicit in the covering-up of the real bigotry in 21st century Scotland, but also responsible for stoking its fires. FFS weââ?¬â?¢re enough of a footballing backwater as it is, without their ââ?¬Ë?helpââ?¬â?¢. The bheasts and their liberal-lefty pals are determined to politicise the poppy, which Iââ?¬â?¢m not even going to rise to, because by the time I have theyââ?¬â?¢ll have inevitably moved on (or stooped) to something else. Quite frankly the Poppy tit-for-tat is becoming pretty tiresome and repetitive. Iââ?¬â?¢ll wear mine with the same understated respect I do every year, and if others choose to almost deliberately misunderstand its meaning then thatââ?¬â?¢s their problem. And if the bheasts want to show themselves up for the ignorant, terrorist-sympathising vermin they are, thatââ?¬â?¢s also fine. Iââ?¬â?¢ll just follow the Rangers, thanks. I find myself rebelling against the baggage that people foist upon football fans in this country. Which is all I want to be, a football fan. -
Haw haw haw!!! I must admit that result last night did make me feel rather warm and fuzzy inside. This couldn't be happening to a nicer club, manager, players and fans  Going down

At least McGhee's side won. I recognise the fact that the quality of the SPL outside the OF is about as bad as it's been, but this is a supposedly professional football team we're talking about here - 9-0 is a disgraceful result in any competitive football setting, let alone the top league in the country. You could probably put together a team of Third Division players who wouldn't get beat 9-0 by that Celtic side. Just a shocking lack of professionalism really - you can see McGhee's influence right through that Aberdeen side the past 18 months. As for the fans, well, they hounded out the Two Jimmies largely for being Rangers men. Enjoy the Karma you wankers.

Shunsuke Nakamura took free-kicks and dived about a lot. He was not a good footballer. Another Celtic-minded myth. If he was from the West he'd have received barely any attention at all.

Regardless of having to put the sound down, it's great to have it on live.

I suspect he got sick of going out on a Saturday night in Glasgow, giving it the Billy Bigtime and then getting his head kicked in.

Honestly? Nope.

Lenny's not desperate, honest.

2-0 to Valencia.

You don't have to look too deeply into what was going on at Goodison when Walter was in charge to realise that he actually came out of that period of his career with great credit.

Champions 2 - 0 ICT (Miller, Naismith) God I'm adventurous.

Agreed about weekend semis. Last year's semi against St Johnstone was a complete non-event (right down to those all-white strips). A tasty final in prospect, whichever of the Protestant-hating teams gets through.

Kilmarnock 1 - 2 Rangers (Lafferty, Beattie)

Celtic 1 - 3 Rangers - Celtic shat their pants

But it couldn't have been a penalty, Tommy Gemmell said in the Record there was no contact. Liars, cheats, cradle, grave. -
