It was indeed our old friend Mr Thomson. Not only was it never a penalty, I remember actually laughing out loud when it was given, such was the blatancy of whatever it is Thomson has against us. The Celtic fans must have been pissing themselves. For a half-minute or so anyway. Why does Thomson get so many OF games?

In a strange way, the 5-1 game might do us some favours today. We had a number of OF debutants that day. Now they know what it's all about. It was glaringly obvious after that game that Joey Barton in particular thought he could come up here, give it the Billy Big Baws, and stroll it. Doesn't quite work like that and I'm sure (or hope) he knows it now. I personally would have gone with Garner alongside Miller - he seemed to be the one new boy who played without fear in that game.
