Quite simply looks like Walsh didn't know the rules or didn't want to abide by them. The fact the VAR and AVAR refs didn't agree with him, nor Collum or the appeal committee speaks volumes. -

Think its becoming pretty obvious (if it wasn't already) we aren't going to be doing a quick turnaround with this rebuild, we will be gifting them a few titles while we balance the books over the next few years. This squad isn't going to be competitive any time soon bar a miracle in recruitment in the summer or an unprecedented collapse other side of the city.

Referees and VAR in Scotland
Sutton_blows_goats replied to Yorkie Bear's topic in General Football Chat
If they are going to be asked by a colleague (who is a top level referee themself) to review footage of an incident, because the VAR ref reckons the on field referee has made an error. But somehow decide to stick to a decision, it almost seems like a complete disagreement between the ref and the VAR team. VAR is a great tool for referees. I bet there are thousands of referees in history who made bad on field calls wish they had a real time video replay to confirm or deny a decision. If there is this continued upturn in referees in SPFL stick to on field decisions that says to me a problem with the process, or an issue between the on field ref and VAR room ref interpreting the rules differently and probably highlights why we get so much inconsistency from refs in the SPFL. Its in Collums best interests to make sure all are aligned or he shouldn't last long in the role.
