I know my opinion is a bit of an outlier. I think Europe was important early on under Gerrard. Now only the CL can add real value for us. I just don't think we have the squad capable to compete in all fronts and would rather go all in domestically. I don't think the financial gains from the Europa are significant enough to warrant the effort. Stadium will be half full tonight. If we win the game and get whatever the prize money is (500k euro?) I'd imagine much of that goes into staff win bonuses.

I liked the question being asked, and how he didn't back down when challenged by the manager. But does anyone think the manager is going to come out and explain in any detail what his gameplan is and how we will beat teams?

The club set expectations in the summer with the downsizing and the new contract for the manager. Not sure what the support were expecting.
