These are the parts I've been hoping we would implement for years now: I've always maintained that if we receive a favourable offer, we should sell and opt for a more cost-effective replacement. And then this, my biggest gripe regarding Gerrard and the post 55 decline: The days of the late '80s and '90s are gone; we can't purchase players like Mark Hateley, Richard Gough, Trevor Steven, Gary Stevens, Stuart McCall, Chris Woods, etc. and retain them until they decline. We must sell them at the appropriate time. It's reassuring to hear similar sentiments from someone within the club who has the authority to effect such changes.

This isn’t true, but for some reason remember him as only scoring headers. I was quite young when he was with us but did like him as a player.
-
Very true, infact if I recall correctly he got criticised at the time for not being attacking enough?
-
Pretty sure he also cost us 4 million of the back of being a member of one of the best club sides of that era. And was on a pretty penny too. Not sure I would call him an 'unsung hero' as such - however I think compared to some of his teammates at the time we didn't notice him as much.
-
And its a valid one, a point I'd hope every supporter we have desperate for 'investment' should be cognisant of.
-
We could definitely do with any of the above right now in our team, no doubt. Even Windass, someone needs to clean the toilets.

I don't trust this lot to open a packet of crisps. They need to find a modern day David Holmes. I'm not sure the CEO of a kids charity who has navigated his way into the St Mirren boardroom was the answer, so I'm not too displeased that move never transpired.

I heard Robertson was hired as part of the 'friends of Wilson' campaign along with some other members of staff. Regardless, its difficult to be concerned about a key member of staff being moved on having delivered nothing but omnishables.

It would be best if the opinion police had a checklist of criteria that ensured fans didn't give an opinion they didn't like. I could give Elon a call and we can see if he can silence any dissidents on twitter that want to criticise a player via AI. Everything that is not going well with our club will instantly vanish and trebles will appear from no where. At one point he was skinned by the St Johnstone forward, and just gave up, didn't continue tracking. Its easy to work hard, but you have to actually do it. -
Cerny for stepping up and winning the match for us, deserves real credit. I hope he can build on it. That's what he is capable of, don't go hiding for 10 games before doing the same in a win at Ibrox v a bottom 6 side. John Soutter was solid. Robin Propper looks a bombscare. Needs to lift heavy things and eat lots of steak ASAP.

Solid 3 points after a tough week, but a few big red flags. Some of our players just can’t handle two games a week – they don’t have the stamina. Guys like Diomande and Dessers are really struggling to keep up. Diomande, in particular, is a serious concern. We’ve spent a lot of money on him, but he’s only had one good game all season (Malmo). In most other matches, he’s been subbed either for poor performance or lack of fitness. Playing two games a week is the standard here. No point moaning about it. We want to challenge for a domestic treble and do well in Europe, right? Well, that means getting used to playing a lot of football and making sure the squad can handle it. We’ve got about 2.5 months of football left before the January transfer window opens. If we’re serious about competing this season, we should already be thinking about getting new signings in and deals done now. If we don’t get reinforcements in, I worry we’re not taking this season seriously at all. I’d even consider moving on high-value players like Dessers and Butland if the right opportunity comes up in the window. We need to trust our recruitment policy and believe we can replace them. -

That ref is particularly bad for it, but only when its a team playing us. He doesn't afford us the same rules. -

That was absolutely torture. The cia are going to use it to torture Russian spies. But 3 points and a +2 in the goal difference. -

Every time a St Johnstone player goes to ground they get a free kick, no matter how soft. -

Great goal from Cerny again. Great ball from hagi into feet and he attacks his man. Needs to do more of that. -

Sterling has done well as a utility player in short term impact scenarios but I’m yet to be convinced he is a long term answer for a fixed position, either at fullback or in midfield. And that’s not even mentioning his inability to last 90 mins regularly.
