Rangers linked with James Sands not going away. USA International, 21 y/o MLS NYC. Plays DM/DC. https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-10366135/Rangers-poised-sign-midfielder-James-Sands-New-York-City-selling-Nathan-Patterson.html Looking at an 18(?) month loan deal. Sure there will be a future fee. But it has been rumoured at 6 million which for us is quite an outlay.

Lille offered 16 million IIRC (verified by their sporting director during an interview with talksport). Porto is not a step up for him and they dont want to pay us what we want so id forget about them. If he keeps his current form up and signs a new deal he could be worth much more. Alfredo plays a hell of a lot of games, rarely injured. Form dips up and down but whos form doesnt. He will be very difficult to replace but id rather we were doing it in the summer with the CL money pot to look forward to. @Rousseau - Itten deserves another chance I agree. I believe he did not settle in Scotland and would prefer to move away for off field reasons.
-
In the summer I would. Not now. Crucial period coming up and that CL spot is very big for us financially. Sakala is still hit and miss, Roofe is struggling with his fitness (that idea of deciding to take up international football at 28 was a great one). Goldson, Kamara, Aribo and Morelos are the 4 we need to keep to win the league this year. Sell in the summer for 3 of them if we must. Obviously Connor will walk in the summer regardless.

Good move all round. Patterson isnt going to play ahead of Tav. We sell the boy while his stock is high and he gets a chance at first team football, a wage rise and a healthy sign on fee. If we can sell an academy player like that every 5 years its good for us IMO. Now to get Leon King tied down on long term deal and path to the 1st team.

Would love to know how much public money has been spent in total from the HMRC side pursuing this. HMRC staffing costs, multiple legal fees, court time, and then the cherry on top of the cake we went through an administrative process protecting assets which results in HMRC being able to claim very little back. I am at risk of repeating myself but the public deserve an investigation into this and the individuals responsible should be held to account.
-
If this is proven to be true, then HMRC could have likely negotiated a deal with the OldCo for a lesser sum of monies and we would have been fine in the long-term. There is so much about this case that looks like manufactured grievance from the HMRC side. They claimed they wanted to set a precedent but I don't recall them following up our case with a grand return of revenue from other clubs/companies in similar cases. Basically HMRC have cheated the tax payer out of revenue to pursue personal vendetta. We now need to know the who of HMRC drove this case and why. Public workers should be accountable to the public for mismanagement of public bodies and funds.

Poor performance from us yesterday on many levels. Perhaps we looked at the team sheet for Dundee Untd and thought the game was already won. I admit its hard to play against teams that are well organised but this was a team heavily disrupted by COVID and a few youths thrown into the biggest day of their lives. Hagi - I have no idea what was going on with him yesterday. End of game rabona right out the park apart. He was dreadful. I am a massive fan of Hagi, but yesterday he looked like a drunk chasing a balloon in a bouncy castle. Couldn't stay on his feet, couldn't trap a ball. Struggled to find a team mate. One to forget. The back 4 - not sure if it was a ploy to disrupt Dundee U but the bizarre change at 2 mins of Bassey back to CB and Tav to RB was a bit off. Midfield - Not sure why the manager decided to put Lundstram as the deepest sitting mid, then changed to Kamara when neither player was getting anything productive. Airfield was quiet and not getting into the box like he usually does. I don't see a long-term future for Lundstram here, I just don't see how he fits in but think he was unfortunate yesterday to be the player taken off for Wright to come on. Forward- Morelos was reverting back to his old back habit of dropping too deep and spending too much time wide. Probably because he was crowded out the box by Dundee U. Get between the posts, in the box and lead the line pls Fredo. The penalty - stonest of stonewallers. No idea what the defender was doing but I'll take it. Put away very well by the captain. Few days off now for the players, lets reset, recharge our batteries and come back strong for St Mirren.
-
Kent for me but he should have got more out of the fullback. Don't think he was helped by lack of bodies in their box from our side.

Aribo playing so well I worried we wont be able to hold on to him come January. He is the best player in the country by some distance. Kent a Morelos good too. Hagi worked hard without much coming off for him.

Looking forward to this tonight. We are on fire. St Johnstone are having a really bad spell. Struggling with out their two best players having left in McCann and Kerr. They really lack a cutting edge up front. Don't concede much. This has all the hallmarks of a banana skin. I expect the same team v hearts. Important to get Sakala isolated v Cro-Magnon man at right wing back for St J Rooney. Aribo will probably get some extra attention/double marked given how lethal he has been. Arfield can make a big impact with his runs into the box. No real expectations for this one, just the 3 points and move on. -
Id take Skov Olsen in a heartbeat. If we can get a loan to buy for 6 months with a future fee for the summer when the likes of Aribo inevitably go. Tall cultured forward. Dont think he has the running speed or power of a similar tall Dane but sky high potential. I think he would benefit playing for us in an attacking sense where he will have much more freedom. Can play wide right as an inverted winger (left footed) of we could use him as a 10. Edit - watched some youtube footage of him last night and it looks like Bologna use him as a right wing back. Think he would relish a more attacking role with us.
