Young players like Patterson, Lowry, King and Bassey is what makes money. Not many clubs will pay big bucks for guys like Kent and Morelos who are 26/7. Its the way the market goes. Makes sense to get these guys in the team and get them games.

I see lots of people on twitter getting upset by this but i have no idea why.

Has great potential but how many times have we seen guys like this in the youth teams end up forging out careers at Peterhead and Alloa. Still a long way to go in his development. So we have lost nothing yet. At least if we are getting guys like this in our system we are doing something right.

We need a reliable robust CB to replace Goldson that can perform to a similar standard. Not an easy task. I think given we could potentially be playing Wednesday/Saturday for an entire season the players that struggle to play 1 game a week need to be overlooked.

Considering they have a team full of 50-100 million pound players I'm not surprised.

Getting out of hand now with players being assaulted and Viera was ready to leather some Everton fan for giving him verbal's. Matter of time before it happens up here again unless mitigated. Billy Sharp got headbutted, Robin Olsen attacked and Oli McBurnie stamped on a fan who attached a Sheff United backroom member. Hibs got a free hit at our players all those years ago at Hampden I'm concerned this could happen again and someone could get hurt.

Ross Wilson said different last year before the window. He spoke to sky sports and said the following: Perhaps he considers 2 short term loans and an unknown polish youngster as reinvesting in the squad. I always take it in the sense that we can go and buy other players.

I think its a case of we had little or no other options but had a chance to roll the dice with a guy who could have made a real difference. Meanwhile Skov Olsen ripped it up for Brugge and could be leading them to a League title. 6 Million for that boy is going to seem a bargain in a couple of years. Still wish we could have had him for our right side of attack. it is what it is.

I'm glad that if any of our players had to miss a penalty it was Ramsey. Would have been heart breaking if it was Tav or Davis for example. The fact it was Ramsey is a bit meh.

Benfica and Porto managed to make the last 16 (or was it 8? ) last few seasons and we can more than mix it with them so no reason to feel anything but confident about any tie we get.

Great player btw. Gerrard and co are shopping on a completely different level than even the best players in the SPL. They will spend big in the summer and bring in top quality.

His stock will never be higher IMO. if we get 25 million offered I would sell. He is better than Tierney.

I think we really need to examine this season and how player availability has cost us. I don't have anything against the quality of these players, in fact its the opposite i think they are fantastic footballers. But the lack of availability for the likes of Balogun, Helander, Jack, Roofe and Ramsey frustrates me greatly. It seems to be whenever we have a key player injured or unavailable these guys seem to have a recurring injury. In the case of Balogun and Jack they struggle to play more than a game a week. Same concerns over Soutter but he clearly has ability. Maybe time to let the likes of McGregor and Davis go. Same with Balogun. Also need to move on Aribo, Helander, Kent and Morelos. I would offer everyone bar Helander a new deal and if they don't sign we need to sell. Don't think we can afford to take the hit on them. Kent especially as we paid 7 million for him.

He is never going to make it at Everton so I'm sure they wouldn't be difficult to deal with.

Like renting a ferrari for 6 months and leaving it on the driveway except when your 80 year old mum took it to the shops that one time. And it spending 4 months in the garage for repairs. Mark down as a lesson learned and good luck to the guy moving forward.

Terrific to see us finish the season by lifting a trophy. Been far too long. The players missed out of celebrating with the fans last season so great they got to do it now. Hopefully this is the start of a winning habit year on year. Hearts weren’t in the game and it was hard to see anything but a Rangers win. Even if it’s through extra time. Should have been in normal time via a penalty for the shirt pull on Aribo. must also say that was one of the worst referee performances I have ever seen. It’s as if he got just about everything wrong.

Agree but he was out of gas at the time as were many of our players who struggled with fitness on the night.

Just back at Alicante base camp after bus back from Seville. Enjoyed the occasion and players done well to get us there. can’t shake the perennial loser cloud over this squad though. That trophy was there for the taking and we couldn’t get over the line again. Onto Saturday which for me is a massive must win. Big changes need in the summer. We need quality players with the right mentality. now I’m off to sleep by the pool in the sun. Watp
