match thread (image) [FT] Aberdeen 1 - 1 Rangers (Hagi 20)

Dreadful performance. Bizarre formation. looked at times to be a 4-1-1-4 in the first half. Not sure what position James Sands was playing, from the looks of it neither did he. Attacking fullbacks seem to have both been neutered. I get keeping one back but neither are strongest when defending. Referee was woeful. Hopefully a one off. -
Great to have had him on board. Good luck JD.

Just another link i don't think has been mentioned on here. We are supposedly interested in signing Benjamin Siegrist from Dundee United on a bosman. Southampton also interested. As a backup I'd take him. Give him a chance to be #1. We have been linked with Zander Clark but i think Siegrist is probably the better of the two. Would like Robby McCrorie can step up too.

Agree on the first point. Skov Olsen has all the markings of a player lined up for a loan to buy. Trouble is Bologna aren't flush with cash and will much prefer to sell. But they don't use the player in the correct position and he wants first team football so will likely move. As you state the other teams in for him if serious will force our hand. I think Doehki would rather see the next 6 months out at Vitesse and take the 2 million(as an example) as a signing on fee rather than move now, see Vitesse take a big chunk of that 2 million. I'm sure Stewart Robertson admitted the Aribo transfer cost us over 2 million despite the player only costing about £200k in development fees. I'd guess that the reason Lundstram is on such a high wage(if the rumours are to be believed) is due to us not having the finance to give him a big sign on fee in the summer. So we broke it down over his contract. I think ideally we would give a signing like that a big sign on fee and lower wage. Its a much lower risk.

The twitter account posting that looks suspicious but not as suspicious as the poster on FollowFollow who claims he made up the rumour 2 years ago and multiple news agencies from various countries including Denmark and Italy have ran with it since. Not sure we have 7.5 million to spend, but we spent that on Kent (or there abouts).

I'm not a massive fan, but we are needing a right winger. I think 3 million for a 28 year old is a bit much though. Would have no resale value. Pros - rapid, proven SPFL player, scores goals Cons - diving, Pace merchant maybe not so good against the 'park the bus', his hair transplant looks painted on

The wage stuff is conjecture yes, but we cannot afford to have a high earner not be a key player who plays every week(I'd aim the same criticism at Roofe for different reasons). I'm not questioning his quality as a player at this point. Under Gio so far he has hardly played. Things change quickly in football, he could get in the team for the next game, perform well and cement his place in the team for the rest of the reason. From what i have seen so far i doubt it. Add to the mix we have just signed a boy who can play DM.

Really interested to see where he will play for us, if its at CB or DM. Would be surprised if CB as we are well stocked and Leon King needs a path to the first team. But then he may be brought in to take over from goldson. DM is probably Kamaras role but then there may be games where we want Kamara and another DM to keep things a bit tighter. Gio keeps us guessing thats for sure.

Leon King signs new deal - 2024

Interesting snippet from the article - we may be seeing more of him in the first team: “It’s important that every one of our young players at this stage has a clear plan and for Leon he will now move into the first-team group under Giovanni van Bronckhorst on a permanent basis between now and the end of the season.” -
Record(I know..) reporting we have bid for Skov Olsen Rangers have reportedly to have launched a bid worth around £5m for Danish winger Andreas Skov Olsen. The Bologna wide man has been in and out of the team this season and it is widely believed they are open to offers for the 22-year-old, who has 15 Denmark caps to his name. Earlier this week it was reported that he was set to make a decision "in the coming days" with a loan exit in January highly likely. But now Tutto Bologna Web claim that Rangers have launched a bid worth €6m (£5m) to sign him permanently.
