The likes of Jack, Matondo and Lawrence has been so pondering on the ball. Call it what you want I want to see them being more decisive and aggressive going forward.

Defo a pen for us but I think the y should have had one earlier for the pull on the forward by Tav. Our best players first half are Sands and Barisic who seems to have been targeted for a bit of roughhousing. We need to look to put this game to bed early. Jack, Matondo and Lawrence need to offer much much more.

Agree with this and have said similar. Cant understand the clamour for Balogun. Also lots of talk about having a need for a left footed CB to play on the left side - but we had Balogun play there and he is right sided.

Time is rolling on. We have not renewed Kent or Morelos (officially anyway). Still a few teams looking for strikers in the EPL (Everton, Man U, Chelsea) that could make late moves for players which then knock on effect may spark interest in Morelos? Still not moved on Katic, Roofe, Helander (unlikley), Kelly. McRorie could go out on loan. Sakala doesnt look like part of the plans too. I have a feeling we still have some business to do.

I think so, he has been getting a bit of grief on twitter and other social media but I cant understand why, he had a much better game than Goldson. He looks much better at centre back than he does in midfield.

Incredible. It was Colaks best game for us yet.

Colak for me, special mention for Lundstram and Sands. Sands seems to be getting a bit of criticism after the game. Cant think of anything specific he did wrong and dealt well with de Jong when he had to, although it looks like de Jong played off Goldson. McLaughlin pulled off a couple of good saves and played the ball about well at the back.

Not a great performance to be honest. Looked shakey at the back for the latter part of the game. Looked constantly vulnerable from corners which is not acceptable. didn’t create much going forward. Kent and Lawrence ineffective going forward. Tillman quiet and looked off the pace. great football for our first goal and thereafter. Don’t think we created anything of substance in the second half. Colak forced a save from a half chance out wide and the keeper gifted us a goal. All to play for in Holland.

That's true, I'm more thinking from the perspective of we have punched above our weight in Europe last few years and underachieved domestically. This season i wouldn't be disappointed with domestic success over Europe this season, but longer term and in general i agree fully with you on that.

In all honesty, I'd be delighted if we had 6 games against the likes of Real Madrid, Liverpool and Inter then focused on the domestic trophies this year if we didn't qualify.

Benfica, Porto, Villareal have all managed it and we have more than matched them recently. No reason why not.

de Jong would be a good striker for us. Excellent in the air. Would be great attcking crosses v the park the bus mob. We need to watch him closely. Especially at set pieces.

We always have a chance. We have beaten better sides.
