Not for me, we don't need a James Sands in midfield in the SPL. If he cant play there ahead of a barely fit Jack, and old Davis who needs his game time managed, and out of sorts Kamara then not sure he will play there if we bring in another midfielder. CB all the way for me. I'm prepared to die on this hill. Sands can go all the way at CB for us.

They also signed a big Korean CB from Fenerbahçe who is supposedly quite good, but there is no guarantee these players will bed in. We have a chance against anyone. Given our form over the past few seasons in Europe and especially under Gio.

Its possible but Liverpool need to get thier heads together. Have started the season very poorly. Mane is a big miss. Nunez not settled. Napoli have made a few changes to the playing staff this year, Koulibaily off to Chelsea, Maertens away, Insigne away.. basicially thier three main players over the last few years. Ajax - will either top the group or prop it up. Big changes again for them this year, new manager. Lost a few key players (hope Man U buy Antony right at the death of the window).

When i watch him in midfield he reminds me of Bert Konterman wandering about playing square easy passes because thats all he can do. When he plays at centre back he does not remind me of Bert Konterman in any way what so ever. I often hear people say about him 'he does well at centre back for a midfielder'. It was that sausage Ronnie Deila that played him in midfield IIRC. Was a centre back before that and has played only at CB for the USNMT (i think).

Sands, his aggressive ball winning defending, reading of the game and anticipation was superb. Going to keep saying it this boy is never a midfielder. Centre back all day long..

I dont know any particular targets. I've heard Olaru and Evander. But I do know the manager has earned some backing from the board now. He deserves a RW and a #8. And the cash it would take to buy those two players has been earned by him and then some. By developing Bassey and by over performing in Europe. Over to you Mr Park.

Wow what a performance. We are a real force in Europe I don’t care what anyone says in amongst the elite. We have the best chance of any Scottish team in Europe this season. Fantastic.

Yeah he has been very good. Fell out the game for a bit there when they had the good ten min spell just before half time. We need to get him on the ball. Sands is a great CB, he is never a CM.

PSV fans blockaded the bus and were attacking it. Caused delays to the team getting in the game. I know it’s been a while since PSV were in a big game but they should be more professional than that as a club.
