If you compare our finances to theirs i think it is unreasonable. 2 out of 6 max given the spending power they have.

Imagine we lived in a world of transparency where the board issued a communication and cleared this up for us.

Agree. But some of the noises he made when he left are ringing more and more true. Bemoaned lack of backing in the transfer market. Said the board didn't match his ambition to push on on 55 was achieved. Many fans are now thinking the very same.

And the boy who joined Villa for nearly 500k. But on the flip side you can get a Lowry or a King in the first team for 20 games, maybe a cap for Scotland and then the interest from England comes in just like Patterson.

IMO they dont all need to be, if we can get guys who can be first team regulars great. If we can produce guys who do a job for 10-15 games a season then that is enough.

We have a load of games from now until November. Is it fair to say there is a risk with Barkley or indeed any signing at this point that by the time they get to speed the World Cup will be kicking off.

Any new signings wouldn’t have helped on the park yesterday but perhaps would have given the squad a lift.

He was exact same at feyenoord. They were skint and he over achieved there keeping heat off the board for long enough.

It will cost a fortune to pay him and his team off. Which is probably why we will stick with him.

Agree. Our biggest problems right now. Slow sideways passing. Always going wide, crossing to one striker, reluctant to shoot from outside the box (this improved slightly with Lundstram and Lawrence) etc were all there under Gerrard.

Rumours and (non)performances like yesterday in Kamaras case. Similar for Morelos and Kent recent (non) performances and they haven’t committed to new contracts. Apologies if I’m wrong but can only call it as i see it.
