Goalkeeping horror show yes but that doesn’t excuse the fact our rivals that day were visually running more, looked sharper and more focused. The fact is we looked miles off the pace that day.
-
Yes I think unless we can get someone in of good calibre and have means to back them with transfers then maybe it’s better the devil you know. For now. I do feel like there is an air of inevitability about all this and that Gio is just seeing off time till a payoff and parting of ways.

I have no inside info but the non performances at Septic Park and Amsterdam tell their own story.
-
We can’t afford to attract anyone else to take over id imagine. Both in terms of salary and backing in the transfer market.

SPFL move to cut Rangers out of vote on SKY TV deal
Sutton_blows_goats replied to BEARGER's topic in Rangers Chat
The record was fed lies for the original story from Doncaster and Co to put pressure on Rangers to cave in, as if we had already lost. -
They seemed to fall out with the support after the OZ backlash and avoid comms after that. Did themselves no favours there.

None of us know for sure so i suppose its just wait and see. Yes lots of wages freed up, I didn't include Helander in my list as i doubt we will see him again but good to get him off the wage bill too.
-
That's fine, but we should never stop asking questions and looking for transparency.
-
yeah - it depends on how much we have to spend next summer overall I think. If we have around 10 million to spend next summer, spend it on Sands and Tillman. Then need to replace Kent, Morelos, Davis, McGregor, Arfield, Jack etc on free transfers and loans it will be a challenge. If we have a bit more to spend then perhaps its worth the investment. You are right about the potential and I still believe Sands can make a very good centre half (not midfielder).
-
Hopefully. As things stand though I'm not sure Sands and Tillman are worth he supposed £10 million outlay we would need to make both moves permanent.
-
Very true, people don't like to hear it but we are not a massive draw to any potential manager. A massive rebuild ahead and no money to spend.
-
Just a reminder now that Sir Duped or Mintyville is being mentioned that supporters are always right to ask questions of the club, and the club should be transparent as a result. Lets not get back into a place where those running the club should be above being challenged based on past achievements.

Good post. Lots of detail I wasn't aware of. 👍

I wouldn't say devastated, more crestfallen that I've had to discard my matching Scoulding PJ's and duvet set. In all seriousness. Its probably time for a change in that area.
-
Is it? I thought Scoulding(before he left, now Park probably) and the manager identified targets. Wilson did the target profiling and negotiating.

According to the Rangers Review the board will present a plan to upgrade the disabled supporter facilities at the AGM. That's one off field project I can back investment on. Should have been done long ago. I used to sit just behind some disabled supporters and the section they get is the worst view in the stadium and exposed to the elements. No doubt the usual suspects will complain about safe standing but IMO this comes first.
-
The fat man is a clear one yes. But the bigger stadium? It was half empty for years while we slogged our way back up. Great revenue from the CL qualification but routine pumping's is limited as we are finding out this year. Looks like they have made decent cash from a pipeline of player sales.

Interesting interview with football financial expert Kieran MaGuire
-
Why is there such a financial disparity between us and them? Thier player trading model isn't as good as the red tops would have you believe. Thier participation in Europe is the same. Thier shareholders also take dividends IIRC.

Has it ever been outlined what the ROI is for rebuilding Edmiston House - Just wondering how we can justify what will likely be a large spend on what will essentially be a revenue stream of sorts but at what volume and will it result in investment in the first team over the longer term? If it doesn't then it seems like we are spending on a luxury we don't particularly need right now.
-
Emperors new clothes. We can all see the state of the squad with our own eyes. Maybe the experts can explain to us how all these multi million pound injured players are suddenly going to get fit and start contributing. Perhaps they can tell us why we shouldn't worry about the contracts and lack of performances from Morelos and Kent. Perhaps they can explain why they spend 8 million on Davies and Yilmaz (not a criticism of the players) when other areas of the squad had been crying out for investment for years.

Hope no one paid for that on RTV as it’s now available for free on YouTube..

The full length thing is only available to RTV subscribers at the moment. Another great decision..
