An unlikeable little pleb but seems to be maturing into a decent player and I’d consider him.
-
My line up: GK McGregor (he i just better than McLaughlin overall) DR Tav DC Goldson DC Davies (if fit(?) get some gametime in as Sands suspended v Liverpool) DL Barisic (want to see Ridvan get gametime. But also want Barisic to have some good games in the CL and world cup so we can sell him in Jan) DMC Sands (He is not a DMC but him and Lundstram might make a good midfield 2 v hearts and Liverpool. Lets see) DMC Lundstram AMR Morelos (will drift inside and open space for Tav to run in to) AMC Tillman AML Lawrence (if fit) FC Colak (scores goals) Kent for me doesn't seem interested. Matondo can come on for Lawrence or Morelos after about 60 mins and stretch Hearts.

It is absolutely about setting expectations. A very key part of stakeholder management. Are good examples of not setting expectations correctly. You wouldn't promise your kids a puppy for Xmas and give them a goldfish. -

That is a very good article. We should remember that since then we have sold Calvin Bassey for circa £20m and qualified for the Champions League, effectively making it two consecutive seasons with CL levels of income and with a record player sale in each. Commercial revenue, we are told, has also increased by circa £14m per year while ticket prices and MyGers membership numbers also trend upwards. The message from the Rangers’ managing director however appears to have gone the same way as the spending plans and reversed. Speaking this week to the Rangers Review he has now told supporters: Champions League levels of finances have therefore gone from a “terrific boost” to the modest, downplayed levels of income we’ve seen ‘explained’ this week. It would appear therefore that the issue isn’t just that messaging is sometimes lacking, it’s that it’s wholly inconsistent and contradictory. Fans may now look at the summer spend and rightly question just what our outlay would have been had we not sold Bassey or had not qualified for the Champions League. Would we have suffered another summer of minimal spend and further regression but this time on the back of a lucrative European journey? Nothing that has been said since has really provided an answer. Explains where I was coming from in many of my posts on here about this. Ross Wilson made a comment at last years AGM along the lines of any money raised from player sales will be reinvested in the squad. Now its ah but we need to fix a roof, we need to upkeep the training ground. We are building Edmiston house and it'll make us millions. How about don't promise what you cant deliver. -
To be fair to GvB some of the malaise we have seen in this group of players were present before he arrived. After 55 it seems many of the players and now departed coaching staff lost that appetite. The LC Semi v Hibs was a prime example. This squad IMO is enough to win v Hearts next week. Its enough to beat any team in Scotland on its day. Come the end of the season we will need a lot of work done on it. Not sure Gio will be the man to do that work but he has from here till then to prove it.

I think the fact we sold Bassey for a massive fee is a positive.

It feels like both Germany and England are going into this world cup far weaker than they have in previous years. England should have parted ways with Southgate after the Euros and went out on a high with him. They have some great talent in the squad but he cant get the best from it that is clear.

Thier main defence of unfair trial due to publicity and we don’t have evidence for our own defence is so pathetic that I can only conclude that the victims won’t get the justice they seek here. This just keeps getting pushed back and pushed back Any other case with such a flimsy defence would have been dealt with by now.

MacLennan is a Desmond place man and Doncaster a Lawwell place man. Game is rigged. -
We have been fined for price fixing replica strips. How can we complain about the lack of governance within the SPFL when we don’t have any ourselves.
