Kids that end up going pro end up playing football for years and years, I knew many good players growing up who lost interest. Perhaps Making it more about enjoyment is a way to increase engagement over time.

I am not a fan of players who need game time managed taking on extra games outside of main employer. Returning from copa america after we struggled in Malmo. Falling out with our manager before a massive CL qualifier. Coming back a game later and getting sent off putting us down to 9 men at Easter road in a game which we dropped points. There are just too many problems to mention of Alfredos making that real professionals dont give you. Its a balance with a Morelos, a Gascoigne or a Cousin. You've got to know when the ROI is of value. For Morelos I'm afraid that value is no longer worth the drama.

I miss him already because its been absent this season and half of last. We must adapt and move on.

I've went for Goldson. He is a real leader for us and love the way he drags the team forward in games like this.

Cant see it to be honest, unless they think they can get him fit and have got him on a good deal and he is lined up as a 3rd choice. Traditionally they have been able to have decent strikers over the years. He'd also be classed as a foreign player as a none EU national and thus take up a limited squad quota I believe.

I suppose in isolation you can look at it and think, he's a quality players and it was worth the risk that he could get fit and have a massive impact. And its a fair point. Just like many are doing with Jack after the recent performance. But when you apply that logic to half a squad its not an ideal strategy.
