  1. Its like having a ferrari on your driveway but it only works for 2 hours every Tuesday, early AM.
  2. Instead of him being targeted because everyone could clearly see games when he was hobbling about like a old man, or even wincing during warmups? Not sure its an effective lie tbh.
  3. Tav said during his interview that he played through a knee injury yet Gio was adamant he wasn’t carrying an injury.
  4. I like how he gave more information on injuries and expectations in one press conference than our previous manager did in his entire stint as manager.
  5. Jordan Campbell reported Beale specifically said it wasn’t Kent. My guess is Jack (why tho)
  6. https://www.forbes.com/sites/tomsanderson/2022/12/12/fc-barcelona-look-to-sign-morocco-star-ounahi-in-january/?sh=148275103e2d
  7. I think you, I and the BBC differ on the definition of an underrated footballer.
  8. cant be that underrated if barca paid over 100 million for him
  9. I dont think we'd long term scout a player that wouldn't fit into our system (but never say never)
  10. If the talk of us tracking Matondo for a few years is true then I wouldn't be so sure of that.
  11. Listening to the Gerset podcast and I hear the line about the January transfer window being difficult to do business in. I think there is truth to that in some ways where teams are half way through a season and competing for prizes. They wont want to sell key players. However in some cases, like the lad Josh Onomah we have been linked with at Fulham he is exactly the profile of a player who would be an ideal January signing. If we are smart enough the players are there and available. There are lots of similar cases of players who are now out of favour due to change in manager or circumstances who we could be targeting.
  12. Tuesday, December 13 Argentina 1 - Croatia 1 Wednesday, December 14 France 3 - Morocco 0 - Joker
  13. Hopefully doesn’t have lunch dates with the manager of them.
  14. Look - we won titles because guys like Barry Ferguson played through cracked ribs and all sorts of injuries. The likes of Prso, Ronald de Boer and Marvin Andrews played through chronic injuries. Daniel Sturrage wouldn’t play with a staved finger. Michael Owen famously downed tools at Newcastle when they faced relegation because felt a twinge in his hamstring and his contract was up a few months later. Injuries and pain is subjective is all I’m saying. Some want to win at all costs where others don’t.
  15. Our previous managers comments about Roofe deciding when he’s ready to play speaks volumes for me. If a player tells a member of our medical staff they are injured or fully fit, how can they be proven wrong? A scan or X-ray can only show so much. They have to trust the player.
  16. Look at the buildup for the penalty. Something we have not seen for a year. Quick tempo passing through the middle cut right through them.
