  1. It cant be a coincidence that Adrian Bevington popped up on a random soundbite somewhere alluding to wanting the job, followed by a lot of public chatter from supporter areas like podcasts and social media of 'This guy would be a much better choice as CEO'. Call me a cynic.
  2. I do not. Reasoning - What have they won recently? Their only aim seems to be a talent factory and sell players for the benefit of someone. Where has the millions gone they have raised by selling players? FC Nordsjaelland - Most expensive departures | Transfermarkt FC Nordsjaelland - Record arrivals | Transfermarkt We are a completely different animal.
  3. Major update on Rangers' CEO hunt as St Mirren vice chairman Jim Gillespie stuns club bosses | The Scottish Sun The shenanigans continue. This guy has changed his mind for whatever reason. A lifelong Rangers supporter we were told. Surely it would be a dream role for any Rangers supporter capable? I know there was talk of an ongoing court case which he was involved in which may have muddied the water. Some kind of defamation case I believe.
  4. These teams can charge what they like, there could be 0 fans in their stadium and it wouldn't really matter to their accounts. The TV cash is king.
  5. I expect us to get going eventually, but we will likely be too far behind for it to make a difference for this season.
  6. Id take a punt on Moyes, garbage football but effective. Can work with limited players. Moyes team with a McTomminay would work wonders. Think Cahill / Fellaini type vibes.
  7. No problem. He will be a game changer. Take us to the next level.
  8. Yeah that's my thoughts. Like everyone else that's left recently I still think he stayed too long.
  9. Its muscle memory for supporters to be cynical. Every major injury one of our players gets turns out to be far longer than ever predicted. Hagi's dad was saying a few weeks before the Europa final he would be back in training and ready for it for example. Then there is Roofe, Matondo, Yilmaz, Dowell, Lawrence, Soutter etc Its not a new thing either, Amoruso missed pretty much his first season. Negri disappeared into the ether after a storming 6 months. Rozenthal, Kuznetzov, Prodan.. Its almost part of our heritage as a club to pay big money for guys to get injured and vanish. Not sure how you can blame anyone for being pessimistic about this one tbh.
  10. Boy on FF that has had good info in the past says we have accepted a bid, but no idea of Tav wants to go or not.
  11. Aye, club are telling porkies to avoid criticism for a dreadful transfer window and wafer thin squad. This season is already looking more and more grim as time goes by.
  12. IIRC not registering Home Grown or Nation Trained slots costs you a full slot as a penalty. So we could have registered King or McCausland and got an additional 2 slots? Here is the Celtic Squad as a comparison - doubt you will see Welsh or Montgomery but they have included them to get the extra spaces. They have filled the allocation of 25. Goalkeepers Kasper Schmeichel Viljami Sinisalo Scott Bain (Nation trained) 1 Defenders Alistair Johnston Greg Taylor (Nation trained) 2 Liam Scales Auston Trusty Alex Valle Maik Nawrocki Cameron Carter-Vickers Reo Hatate Anthony Ralston (Home Grown) 1 Stephen Welsh (Home Grown) 2 Midfielders Luis Palma Kyogo Furuhashi Nicolas Kühn Hyunjun Luke McCowan (Nation trained) 2 Arne Engels Paulo Bernardo Callum McGregor (Home Grown) 3 James Forrest (Home Grown) 4 Forwards Adam Idah Adam Montgomery (Home Grown) 5 Daizen Maeda
  13. They might count as exempt as homegrown U-21 - Why wouldn't you just register them so you can get the extra space for a Matondo or Danilo?
  14. Not sure what it means in terms of Injury for Matondo or Danilo. I'm sure there are player registration problems. Squad limit 25. 4 nation trained (3 years in Scotland between 16-21) / 4 'home grown' club trained (3 years at club between 16-21) - any missing from this means a squad space must be omitted. So i read that as a maximum of 21 players can be registered. Not sure why we couldn't register Leon King and get an extra space? Goalkeepers Jack Butland Liam Kelly (Home Grown) 1 Lewis Budinauckas (Home Grown) 2 Defenders James Tavernier Rıdvan Yılmaz Robin Pröpper John Souttar (Nation trained) 1 Dujon Sterling Jefté Neraysho Kasanwirjo Leon Balogun Midfielders Óscar Cortés Connor Barron (Nation trained) 2 Mohamed Diomande Nedim Bajrami Kieran Dowell Nicolas Raskin Forwards Cyriel Dessers Thomas Lawrence Václav Černý Hamza Igmane
  15. Rangers | Squad | UEFA Europa League 2024/25 | UEFA.com Squad in link above. Illustrates the value of home grown players.
  16. We do, and I think that's what we were looking for with the chap Joan Jordan from Seville. But its only worth doing if its someone that's an affordable short term solution. This seasons already pretty much written off so I cant see us pursuing one at a high cost.
  17. We have 3 1/2 months until the transfer window opens again. We should be trying to arrange deals for young up and coming prospects now and have them ready to go in Jan.
  18. My criticism of him is nothing to do with chance conversion. Its everything else that he doesn't offer that is a problem.
