  1. Oh, Absolutely agree. I think sometimes our support are fixated with the big sell. Its not about chasing that big Bassey type sale but going for more 'Aribo's'. Bear in mind Stewart Robertson said at the time the Aribo signing cost ~2 million in sign on fees and he had a high wage for his profile so you wont make big profit on these guys but its more about the continual turnover that makes it sustainable for a club like ours.
  2. Are we getting quality from our money now? Celtics Japanese contingent are on a fraction of our top earners wages. Kyogo on the same as Colak. I'd take Shankland as 3rd choice for 5-10k.
  3. Our 3 strikers at the moment are on approx Morelos 30-35k, Roofe on approx 28k, and Colak on 18k. A bit stupid really.
  4. I read that Kieron Dowell is on about 7k at Norwich. If he is coming here for 10k a week to be a squad player then its perhaps not that big a risk.
  5. van Veen wont require a fee or big wages. So doesn't really need to have a resale value. His profile would come in as a stop gap. The Maja signing however would be a bosman but require a large sign on fee, an agent fee and a high wage over a longer term deal. He has also passed peak sale age (18-23 someone can look at the stats and correct me). Maja wouldnt be the player trading model win some think. He would purely be a come in and get a few good years then punt like Aribo.
  6. I've been dismissive of the van Veen stuff but remember Andreas Velicka helped us win a title with a handful of games and goals. I always bang on when people complain about lack of youth players coming through that Mo Ross and Bob Malcolm have a fair few winners medals despite not being regarded as youth system 'successes'. Sometimes its about getting a balance right rather than just getting a load of players who as individuals stand out with certain criteria.
  7. Wow 3-3 Weston levels at 88 mins.
  8. Goal back. Ure wins a pen and Lowry slots home.
  9. Three nil. Dreadful performance.
  10. Two nil down after 30 mins. Real lack of quality. Lowry looks miles off it.
  11. Not sure he has a hope of getting anywhere near the first team. Probably just renewing to sell him on for a nominal fee after a year on loan somewhere
  12. Thanks for posting, will get the grass cut quickly and tune in. Wonder if Lovelace will make it without getting sent off.
  13. These types of potatoes only come as large chips and sit firmly on the shoulder
  14. Not just that, but for many of them Rangers was the pinnacle. They didnt want to go anywhere else. Different these days many of the players we bring in see this as a short term deal to achieve another objective. Keeping these guys too long is just stupid.
  15. No I’m suggesting he did because he was so desperate to make an impact for Colombia. Ironically that’s the trigger for a stream of events that will likely see him never get near the squad again. Mate, our medical staff are utterly clueless. So not sure why you’re suggesting that as a case for the defence 😂
  16. Agree with the top part but Alfie played through that injury as he was desperate to go with Colombia.
  17. Was linked heavily with Celtic in January think they tried for him but couldn’t afford him. I expect a few loans for us next season and before anyone complains 2/3 most important players for the other mob last year we’re loans (Jota and Carter) and arguably our best player this year was a loan (Tillman).
  18. Just read Arsenal paid 1.5 to buy him from Colorado rapids and value him at 10 million. Ffs why don’t we look to buy him when he is 1.5 million some player trading model 🙈🙈🙈 If he comes I expect it’s a loan.
