I highly doubt there is overwhelming interest in the guy from elsewhere to be honest. If we are willing to pay a decent fee Cremonese should just take it and move on. The fact he didn't have a relegation release fee clause is a great learning opportunity for his agent and legal team.

I think as time goes by the young suppers in Scotland will lose interest with the SPFL and lean more towards supporting EFL clubs. I think this is being engineered by things purposefully blacking out our games from TV while games like Watford v Huddersfield is available on Sky for just £100 per month. I hope I am wrong but when I was younger kids wore shirts of other teams like Barca/Real, Milan clubs and Juve. But I've never seen the volume of young kids wearing EPL club shirts like I do these days.

I hope things are moving behind the scenes to move on Kamara, Ben Davies, Borna Barisic, Sakala, Colak, Matondo, Lundstram, Roofe etc so we can get replacements in. Lets not make the same mistakes as last season. Get the new guys in, guys that will be nailed on starters get them fit and get them training and learning the ways. We got a good player for a year, who helped get us into the CL and the cash rewards that come with it, now that he is not going to sign for us permanently we get a cash payment to soften the blow. I dont agree.

On a reported 20k per week I think its less important about getting a big fee for him and more about freeing up the wage. Would take half that to move him on. Would still be a fantastic bit of business given how much we paid.

I can’t see us paying what Utrecht want in all honesty. I think that dictates our level of interest in this player.

So the option to buy we had for Tillman was the same option we have to buy on Haaland, Mason Mount or indeed any other player in professional football. Make an offer and see if they accept. Sounds like some top notch negotiating skills our end. Wouldn't want to haggle with that guy.
