  1. Hope he gets game time or this is a waste of a great talent
  2. He mentioned Davies at the end of the interview. I was just assuming Balogun is injured due to no mention of him to be fair he might be fine. Just watched it again and he said Leon B and Leon K are available.
  3. At least he is fit to play tbh. And I am far from his biggest fan 😅
  4. And Davies, and Balogun. These guys just have the constant injury problems hanging over them(not Lawrence) and would be better if we could move them on. Balogun should never have been brought back.
  5. We have exceeded expectations in Europe for a few seasons now (certainly the last 2) so we are due a bump back to reality. If it happens we shouldn't be too despondent and instead focus on domestic success. I'm still not sure, despite our spending that we will be more clinical in the final 3rd. I hope we are. We need to be. Far too wasteful in front of goal last season, all the cutting edge of a pillow.
  6. Why have a pub when you can have a derelict building.
  7. Given 3 of our centre backs are Soutter, Balogun and Ben Davies. The evidence points to them being unavailable for many games a season through injury, Dujon Sterling might just have to pull on his shirt and get on with it at CB for a few games this season even if he doesn't regard himself as a natural centre back..
  8. I think the manager will go with: Sima - Danilo Lammers Dowell - Raskin - Cantwell Barisic- Balogun - Souttar - Tav Butland I'd go with: Lammers - Danilo Cantwell Dowell - Raskin - Jack Ridvan- Balogun - Souttar - Tav Butland
  9. He's still a bit away from match fitness and Danilo / Lammers are ready. Once he is match fit i'd probably go with him in a game like this.
  10. That's exactly why I'm not confident we can move these guys on for a profit. But here's hoping things can change.
  11. He had that season at Twente the year we won 55 so I'd say its a safe bet we would have been tracking him. Trusty more likely Beale saw him while coaching QPR.
  12. Absolutely, how's our track record with that?
  13. I think you are the one bringing the silly here as that's not at all what I'm suggesting. When Danilo was free we spent 2 million on Colak, the very definition of a journeyman, a player no one else really wanted and who had struggled for a mid tier team in Greece. At 29 he was never going to be the answer for us as a first choice striker. He did a job at times but its no surprise he has been moved on. When Trusty went to Arsenal in Jan 22 we were set at CB so I get that but then shortly after we spent 3-4 million on big softie Ben Davies. Its just a case of making better decisions. Our transfer business last summer was poor, I don't think anyone can disagree. Beale has brought them in now but considering our interest in some players has persisted through Gerrard to Gio to Beale I'd say we were aware of them and made other choices instead. Agree. But what has happened in the past season that has turned Danilo from a project player to a 6 million striker for example? Surely he hasn't improved *that* much. My point is its not sustainable for us long term as we cant really afford to be spending like this every summer. I think the manager has managed it well recently to strike a balance of Danilos with Raskins, Lammers with Cantwells and Dessers with Cifuentes. But it wont always be possible.
  14. Its a bad business model paying 6 million for Danilio a year after he was free and 5 million for Trusty a year or so after Arsenal got him for about 1.5 million.
  15. Looks like Trusty is off to Sheffield United.
  16. Same but the manager always seems to mention him as doing well after the games.
  17. Didn’t he famously say something along the lines of being better against teams in the next match as after he seen them he figured them out. Would kind of back that up. Dunno how he just couldn’t watch them before we played them and be ready for the first game 😂
  18. Happy as is
  19. Never seen the game as I took the kids down to Largs to enjoy the 15 degree heat and p@shing rain some call summer. Sounds like we have a major issue with defence again. The ones that are injured are too many and the ones that are fit can’t defend.
  20. Injury prone player gets injured. Shouldn’t have signed him tbh and I like him as a player and a personality.
