The Morelos revisionism stuff from some in our support is bizarre. He couldnt be arsed for a long time, still doesn't have a club and no one worth their salt will take him on. he has chucked away a potentially very good career. Its sad.

Rangers Review this morning has said that Hagi has requested a move (did so last week supposedly). So he needs to go if he doesnt want to be here. Still not convinced by Davies. Yilmaz or Matondo. Would happily see them move. Lundstram and Barisic in the last year of their deals so would be good to get some money in for them if we can source replacements in time. If not we can let them go at the end of the season. In terms of ins if I could pick one position it would be a first choice pick partner for Goldson. Still not convinced by Soutter (mistakes and fitness wise), Balogun is cover only.

Not really, put up some great goals / assists in our 55 season and was vital to us qualifying from the EL group stages the year we got to Seville. The equalizer in Brondby and assist in Gios first game v Sparta Prague at Ibrox spring to mind. He does blow hot and cold but with 5 subs these days we can take the risk on players like that and change it if they aren't hot. Also think the failure part on Hagi is quite unfair, he was out injured for most of Gio's tenure and wasn't anywhere near playing when we gifted them both the cups and made no impact on the league under Beale.

On the face of it I agree with you but I think Hagi means with regards to showing his ability and application in training in order to get in the team.

Agree with the team in the OP. Pretty sure every time PSV manager Peter Boez has come to ibrox with a team in Europe he has beaten us 3-1(leverkusen) and 2-0 (Lyon). Both under Gerrard and both games with us playing a similar way to what we do currently. Bodes well.

Up against a better standard of player though. The margin of quality between Man City / Newcastle and Bayern / Werder is not as big as the quality difference between us and the bottom 10 in the SPFL (imo)

Between Matondo and Hagi for me. Slim pickings..

I'm not overly fussed on the tactics / system / style of play / personnel. I'm more concerned with our slow build up and the fact the players don't seem to want it as much as other teams. We need to go into every game looking like we want to win from the first whistle and play with a high tempo to put teams under the cosh - more domestically than in Europe. We don't do it at all. We look lackadaisical and play a dull, boring and slow type of football. Great managers like Walter Smith and Alex Ferguson famously got 110% out of players. I'm not even sure Beale is getting 50% out of some of these guys. The aggression and hunger Hagi showed today is exactly what we have missed as a team IMO. I'm more concerned about our trip to Dingwall than I am about a trip to Eindhoven. Dingwall is a must win. Eindhoven we are underdogs.
