That was the mistake Southampton made last year, bought a bunch of project players. They made big bucks on Lavia but the rest seem to be fighting their way out of the championship. Its a big risk.

Its always good to have people involved with these types of firms. Especially the big hitters. They tend to know what's going to happen in business before it happens and that can help the club mitigate financial risks. The rumor is that John is investing on a personal level in Rangers rather than as part of his investment firm, I highly doubt he ill be heavily investing but he'll no doubt help ensure he can get ROI on his investment in the medium to longer term.
