  1. I don't understand this mentality, we were finalists in the Europa league not long ago. We beat PSV last year. We have made Europa past xmas for a few seasons. The capability is there.
  2. What's the general consensus on how much time? Interested in what people think.
  3. Filip Helander has signed for Danish side Odense.
  4. Looks like we are stuck with Ben Davies too.
  5. Still possible to improve in so many areas. Hard to believe we have spent approx 12 million on 3 forwards and yet we are still fully reliant on Kemar Roofe. Not sure why we spent the guts of 6 million on Feyenoords backup striker to be our backup of our backup.
  6. I'd give it to our set piece coach for letting Lammers mark de Jong at that crucial 3rd goal but as he is not there lets go with the keeper who made some great stops.
  7. It leaves us where it always leaves us, beat the other mob and everything will turn out delightfully well. I'm totally ambivalent about Europe this year, last nights score line hurts more than the result. We all know what our number 1 priority is this season and its not champions league. I've been very critical of the manager and have serious doubts about his capability, but if we win the league no one will care about this result. Over to you Michael.
  8. We have spent about 12 million on strikers and none of them got in the team last week ahead of Roofe, who in some twist of fate looks fitter and more match sharp than the other 3.
  9. There are only easy draws for good teams. You may be out of luck.
  10. You can but it’s frowned upon.
  11. I’ll be completely honest here. No. Not in the slightest. If we get the likes of Liverpool \ Ajax \ Villareal \ Bayer Leverkusen in pot 1 again after just playing PSV. Or in pot 2 Slavia Prague, Servette are in pot 4. it demonstrates that European football is emulating domestic with monotony. Hopefully a fresh draw with some new faces.
  12. Sunday is our focus but managers live or die by their track record. Our managers track record is questionable. It can be turned round and improved dramatically on Sunday, but it can also be compounded.
  13. I don’t agree. Our history is a very big part of what makes our club.
  14. No, losing two massive cup games to Celtic and being behind in the league already means we haven’t done well domestically. Let’s hope for a change in fortunes moving forward.
  15. Really alarming how many goals we lose from wide areas. Thats cost us big against Celtic recently and it’s exactly how they will try to open us up on Sunday.
  16. We are uncomfortable in all areas of play, in or out of possession. We have spent a big chunk of change for us, and don’t look any better than we did last season. And our big summer signing for 6 million can’t get in the team.
  17. At the moment we are falling on both fronts.
  18. What’s goldson doing there. This is a shambles I said no shame in losing to this team but by god at least make them have to beat you.
  19. Oh look, it’s us losing a goal from a wide cutback again.
  20. Class effort from Matondo there. Well played. Unlucky.
  21. Clubs are queuing up to buy sangare and bakayoko for 35 million and 20 odd million. They spent 12 million each on Lang and Schouten, and will spent 10 million to make dest permanent at the end of the season. There is no shame in not winning tonight.
  22. Fullback had a few years to pick out that back post cross to de Jong there very poor.
  23. Don’t think PSV have looked that good tbh. Lots of the ball mostly half chances except for the goal and the save from Butland. Our ball retention and final pass has been poor. We had options to release Matondo a few times and fluffed our lines.
  24. Was coming. We are not in it. Keep it respectable and on to Sunday.
