  1. The type of player he is he could easily play in 75% of our home games this season and stroll it. Such a good passer and very comfortable in possession.
  2. The European quotas are not a secret, we could have built a squad with this in mind. Then again we could just be more focused on domestic success which I would be behind.
  3. Forgot about Devine, good shout. Rice only been here for a year so doesn't qualify as trained at club. Not sure how that matters for the B list. Zak Lovelace will be the same.
  4. Beale mentioned a knee injury in the previous presser. I'm putting 2+2 and maybe getting 5 but Dowell has missed a chunk of games at previous clubs due to knee injuries, plus we do have a track record with knee injuries. Cantwell and Lawrence can play in midfield. I expect the homegrown restrictions have had a big part to play in this. Player list B (young players) will be added later. Expect King will be there. Maybe Aaron Lyall too. We need at least 4 trained at club players and 4 nation trained players. Wright, Jack and Soutter are nation trained. Lowry would have been involved if not out on loan. This is where a Shankland or similar would have come in handy (not that I'm endorsing that particular player, more the eligibility side)
  5. European squad announced. Roofe and Lawrence in. Ylmaz, Dowell and Balogun out. https://x.com/ibroxrocks/status/1701562696225681445?s=46
  6. Its not just the actual training, its the recovery and medical facilities. IIRC we have a cryro chamber at the training centre to help with post training recovery.
  7. A sacking is a definitive but silence is a vacuum that will be filled.
  8. Should really be any need, if you have a convo and hear something and post it on here in good faith. Up to everyone else to take it or leave it. Never understood the butt hurt that some people have around this stuff.
  9. This is stupid, why are we giving up our training ground for another team when now, more that ever we need our players who are training settling in, focused and ready to go for Saturday. Another RFC masterstroke.
  10. We will all be dazzled on Saturday by the liquid bealeball coming from Rangers in Perth on Saturday and 56 will be back on.
  11. Is that him or the team that Germany has? Its all a bit pointless debating as he is not coming home, I just think he has that great man manager, knows how to empower his players, Ancelotti / del Bosque aura. Something that resonates with us.
  12. True. I could probably win silverware with that Bayern team but still. Bring the big German home so he can win another European cup.
  13. Bring him home James. https://x.com/fabrizioromano/status/1700879824095510588?s=46
  14. They will be watering the park, letting a herd of cows chew it up in anticipation of our arrival.
  15. Just all a bit needless. Noise for no real reason.
  16. Bit childish if true.
  17. Michael Beale (@michaelbeale4980) • Instagram photos and videos Ah ok - i thought it was the usual one.
  18. Nah its just his normal profile pic. Not sure why the big deal over it tbh.
  19. Changed it to what?
  20. My mistake, I meant an off the record word that they will back the manager in the short term. Expectations get set and we look at the next game. They clearly can do this as were quick to tell Andy Newport off the record they were not looking at Kevin Muscat and there had been no contact. Don't think they responded to the John Eustice rumours. But a betting man would wager that noise means they have been sounding out potential replacements.
  21. Has he? Our board in hiding again. No one will to stick up for the manager or set expectations. leaking a puff piece to Chris Jack to try and undermine him? It looks like that certainly if its not the case. It seems Park, Robertson and Wilson are gone but the lack of leadership or accountability around the club are still the same with Bennet and Bisgrove are in charge. If the board want to stick by Beale then they should publicly stick by him, I'm not saying we need a statement on the club website or a youtube video - but they can speak off the record to fan media, Chris Jack, Andy Devlin eg and set narrative.
  22. Differing opinions to what our manager has said recently with regards too transfer spend. Is the board briefing against him?
  23. Agree. It was put in place to stop the big clubs just going out and buying a player if they had injuries or so on. Instead it’s led to them stockpiling players. It was a worthwhile attempt but as always the authorities are a few steps behind. Players were always cup tied before it so clubs couldn’t add to European squads if needed. It worked fine as it was.
  24. Billy Reid is holding him hostage until John Bennett calls and offers a job and a bag of cans..
  25. I agree overall with your entire post there, I think he demonstrated how to have a vision, and how to implement it in a short space of time. What was key to him turning it around was the January transfer window and beating us in the league there after. No point moaning about the COVID stuff and moving games as its all history but it was a factor. But to the point I've quoted I'm not sure that's strictly true. They hired a chap as CEO to replace the outgoing Lawwell, he didn't last long to be replaced by their CFO. Recruited Gordon Strachan as some kind of DoF 'on loan' from Dundee and Mark Lawwell officially joined / got involved in their recruitment on the playing side. I suppose its subjective but i wouldnt see that as stability.
