[2023] Who should be the next Rangers manager?

Yes that’s the real risk here. They are absolutely hopeless. -

Given Muscats availability. We could potentially fall further back in the league (not that it will matter much) lose out in Europe ( we will finish bottom without a proper coach) and be knocked out of the league cup by Hearts. Thats the potential cost of waiting for Muscat? Does he want our job or not? Is he worth waiting for? Not for me. He doesn’t want the job now then we move on. -

The correct time to get McInnes was right after Warburton left. He would have made us stronger on a small budget and weakened the then 2nd best team in Scotland Aberdeen. He wouldn't have been a long term appointment but IMO the doings off them would have stopped and we would have significantly improved without maybe providing a solid title challenge. Then setting up the scene for another manager to build off that. His time is well gone and he done a great job at Aberdeen but is just doing OK at Killie. -

I reckon its Muscat. It probably done already and we are just waiting on him finishing in Japan. -
Wow. Guy looks after himself and is super fit. Hoping a speedy recovery. That's frightening.

Not sure I could stomach Glasner for obvious reasons. Advocaat and Glasner both managing Rangers and beating us in a euro final. Odd stat. -

If the answer to that is no then the solution is get someone in who can get rid of the duds and work within budget to bring in players who want to be here and can bring success. -

Looks like we are being coached by Steve Davis the snooker player at times. He plays faster. -

I think we need to be mindful of letting a new manager come in and making some Beale level transfer market omnishambles in January. -

Now seen leaks we have spoken to Clement and he is interested, but gut feel is some of these names are a rouse and it will be Muscat. In fact I reckon its probably a done deal for him to come in already when the season finishes in Japan. I do not endorse that at all and think he will fail spectacularly. See you all in 6 months for part 6 of the new manager boogaloo. I know there is not much chance in us recruiting Paul Mitchell as DoF but as he is currently without a club and will probably join one of the elites shortly maybe its worthwhile asking him (or a similar experienced DoF figure not working currently, Rangnick perhaps) to come in for a few weeks / months as a high level consultant and hire a new DoF for us. Ideally someone of a similar mould to him. -

Two summers of garbage recruiting has put us in a horrible place. Hopefully Cantwell can return to his form of last year. -

I think there is ability in the squad but for some reason a malaise has set in to this club after 55 and the Europa run. We need someone to shake us out of it. -

I’m not saying they are. But it would be easy to go hiding and just collect the wages. I recognise they at least have some motivation to try and turn it around. -

Fair play to him for playing, would be easy to just feign injury. Same with Lammers.
