Livingston will come and play with a back 5, let us have the ball out wide and cross it in so their big centre backs can fight for it in the air. Nouble will likely play up front and he has handed Souttar his backside before. We need to stop the supply to him so a Jack would be ideal but probably wont play after 70 mins during the week and you want to use him in Servette. Cantwell must play. Lundstram must not. I'd perhaps play Dowell and see if he can add a threat from outside the box with his left foot.

Why do that when you can just get the ball out to Barisic and Tav, cross it to one guy in the box v 5 defenders, then bring on Scott Wright when it surprisingly doesn't work.

Many of us recall days under smith signing top players like Gazza, Laudrup, Thern from big Italian clubs. Butcher, Woods, Steven, Stevens further back. Then signing some top Dutch internationals and French World Cup winners under Advocaat. Salzburg would never have had that, intact now I’d argue they sign higher profile players than they ever did. i suppose it’s a resetting of expectations we need to have. These days are over and we need to adjust as a fan base.

This game pretty much sums us up over the last few seasons. Really struggle to break down teams that sit in. I expect a similar turgid display on Saturday. Saving grace in this tie for us is they need to come at us next leg.

Why take Lammers off, he has looked more dangerous than Dessers the last ten mins. Dessers looks tired.

Dessers could be doing with being replaced. I’d bring on Sima and move Lammers closer to Danilo up top.

That was brilliant from Cantwell, you can see the defenders face when he brings him down he knows.

Not sure if the managers faith in Lammers as a #10 is going to pay off. He looks like a Cedric Itten to me, a tidy enough big player but nothing really to hurt teams. Surprised at Dessers starting as he looked miles off it. Looking forward to seeing Danilo. Glad to see Cantwell back and no Lundstram.

Yep, not the most mobile. Not sure how he fits into a midfield 3 tbh. Especially watching PSV last night. They play with a #9 target man de Jong / Pepi and then two wide pacy dribblers. So I doubt they will use him in a forward capacity.
