You're absolutely correct, but that's all 'on paper' & at the end of the day, we need to take the title 'on paper' despite whether there's been dodgy officiating in their favor or not, despite whether they're just simply lucky or not. I know it's stating the obvious, but there's absolutely nothing we can do about refereeing decisions that go their way or the intervention of luck. I also don't think it's doing us any good keeping going on about the officiating, but I hope I'm proved wrong on that one & that the tabs we're keeping on it start showing a swing the other way to balance things out by the end of the season. That would be really nice, although it's not currently looking like that will happen.

That was seriously funny.

They're just as likely as we are to drop points. They've had a slightly better start to the season than us, but there's not that much in it with so many games still to play. It's still our title for the taking because there's no way that they're gonna win every game they still have left... NO WAY.

Stay positive mate. There's every chance that this will throw them off their stride in the SPL.

Aye, they might just be candidates for the 'Greatest Fans in The World' title... :fish:

Someone as twisted as Spiers is certain to get what's coming to him. The way he's headed, he better always remember to look both ways when crossing the road, since he might get hit by a bus or 40 tonne truck otherwise (which would of course be a shocking & terrible tragedy. Glasgow would literally be flooded with tears to the extent that you could sail down Argyle street).

Guys like Levein & Calderwood shouldn't be allowed to moonlight as Sports writers for the likes of the Daily Record etc. They're supposed to be professional football managers & get paid handsomely for it, so I think it's an absolute disgrace that the SFA & SPL allow them to write biased columns for the cheap rags just because said rags struggle to find decent news to report & pad out their barely readable dross. For anyone who doesn't know what I'm talking about, Craig Levein's biased column for venting his own personal little twisted view of the world took up almost a full page in today's Daily Record.

You sound like Spiers (& not for the first time by a LONG shot)

Craig there's a big difference between companies making billions & RFC. You know this. -

LMAO... I think I'll need to turn to the dark side & start being negative for the sake of negativity. :fish: -
maineflyer, you know as well as I do that all I said (in good humour) was that I disagree with practically everything you say about RFC.

Frankie, I liked your article btw, although not the overall tone because I'm not sure whether it really does or could appeal to SDM's ego as you wish. [exaggeration]I suppose it kind of depends whether you consider backing someone up against a wall & sticking a gun to their head could appeal to their ego or not. [/exaggeration] Btw, is 'gallusness' a prerequisite buzz word now? -

I wasn't having a dig at your article Frankie. Just speaking my mind with regards to SDM & his current relationship with the fans/support, since I think it's an extremely circular situation. If SDM didn't feel that huge numbers of the support no longer welcome him, he may indeed not want to sell the club at all. He's a grown man, yes, but he's primarily a business minded man & very few business owners take the amount of stick & even down right abuse that SDM takes. It only really occurs in football. -

Put yourself in his shoes though Frankie... Seriously now! If most of the comments & articles he reads about himself from RFC fans/support is negative & even commonly telling him to step down, GTF, crawl back down the hole from whence he came.... It must not only be maddening, but a real downer considering the time & money he's put into the club. -

The best course of action is obviously to be firmly & squarely negative about SDM, since that will undoubtedly help everyone at RFC. -
I've edited that post out Frankie. Sorry, but I just don't have the time to debate with maineflyer. That would be more pointless for me than saying what I said in the post I just deleted.

It's very harsh to highlight Adam for inconsistency when most of our players have the same problem, even the best of them that we'd like to consider as being 'quality players'. I think Adam will become an excellent player whether it's playing for us or not. I've seen him playing excellent passing football & connecting really intelligently. Just because he doesn't do that all the time doesn't make him a donkey, because if that's the criteria for a donkey, then every player in our team is a donkey. No... in fact ALL FOOTBALLERS ARE DONKEYS!!! :fish:

FWIW, I think that the 'others' are the fact that he's probably got a better relationship with the players than anyone in the past decade (perhaps more). He's a very good tactician because he's been in the game (in various forms) for long enough to know what to do & what not to do in general terms. He's good with attacking tactics. He's also good with midfield tactics, in the sense that he knows what's desired of a midfield from an attackers POV. He knows how to unlock a defence & knows how to capitalize on the opposition's defensive weaknesses. I might be wrong, but I think Ally might be one of our best managers ever.

Without going into the abilities of someone we don't know anything about in managerial terms, who would you suggest as a better option Maineflyer?

That explains why el Chico & cheapo Trainer still refer to us as the light blues on occasion. :fish:

Aye, he'd have Levien managing the Gers .... :fish:

Put my foot in it again then eh....
