  1. I think it's quite a clever move by CG. He's in not so subtle a manner reminding us that while he makes all sorts of random comments he really does call a spade a spade. Quite fitting in the context of the past 48 hours I think.
  2. Innocent shareholders, season ticket holders, etc, etc didn't stop HMRC so why should it stop BDO from doing their jobs properly? I'm not saying it's something that'll be on their agenda. I just don't think we should be gift wrapping it as an option for them. I want to know the truth as much as anyone else. If I was confident that everything to do with the sale was above board and we didn't have to worry about skeletons in the closet I'd be all for going after the guilty parties full tilt with guns blazing. As things stand however it would appear there is an increasing possiblity that such a course of action might only see us shoot ourselves in the foot.
  3. There's no guarantee of that. Last year proved that the club is a lot more fragile than we thought it was. We're not indestructable. When you consider what the SFA did to us last time round what would we get hit with for another serious disrepute charge? When you consider that the SFL don't exactly have a history of leniency when it comes to repeat offenders regarding administration. What if BDO were given the opportunity to void the sale?
  4. The troubling thing is potential outcomes of ongoing investigations from BDO and Strathclyde Police. We all wanted clarity and the guilty punished. Now I'm not so sure.
  5. Well, he probably wouldn't want us to know about the 3 russian girls he's got locked in his basement now would he?
  6. I think the words were something along the lines of 'I gave him £1 ...well truth be told I gave him £2 so he doubled his money.'
  7. I get that. Just like he says he did with Whyte, he was only telling the fans what they wanted to hear to get them on side.
  8. As much as I've said a few times myself that the truth must be told, what we all want more than anything else is for the future of the club to be secure. If anything's been done in the takeover process to jeopardise that then all things considered it's possibly for the best that he carries on lying to us.
  9. I think there's plenty of middle ground and I'd like to think that Green will be given ample opportuinity to explain his version of events. We all want to know the truth. I'm sure even a number of Green's backers will be seeking clarity on some of these issues. Something I did notice from one report last night which the majority of the mhedia had omitted was that Ally mentioned he'll be having a chat with Green 'when he gets back from Europe'. So apparently Green was out of the country when news of this scandal broke, just as he was the other month when the ridiculous story of us being served with a winding up order surfaced. When the cats away...?
  10. I don't ignore any facts you've put forward. I've just been focusing more on the 'facts' I take issue with for being either incorrect, out of date or pure conjecture. Like I said I do agree with a lot of what you're saying in principal just like I also said I don't have much time for politics in general. You obviously do and good on you for standing up for what you believe in. At this point I'm happy to concede defeat in our little debate and leave it at that. One last thing though to get back on topic - What's your stance on us moving to england?
  11. When he says plans for the future will need to be discussed McCoist is referring directly to changes in scouting, youth development and other aspects of the club which aren't part of his job remit â??Iâ??ve got a plan in process for other sides of the footballing aspect of the club as well" I'd expect this is more along the lines of what you're looking for
  12. I'd imagine that he has had this type of discussion on an ongoing basis. It's worth remembering the number of unknown variables the club has had to contend with over the period in question. The difference is that now Ally's making preparations for next season and while we still don't know what league we're playing in at least the board have some idea of what finances are available for restructuring.
  13. What I don't want to be hearing is that the money was deposited in July or August along with the excuse that Green and Ahmad somehow forgot about a seperate account they'd set up for Whyte to invest.
  14. All I see here is a number of concerned fans seeking clarity. Nothing more. I know I'm not calling for heads to roll. I just want to be reassured that the club is in safe hands and everything to do with the purchase of assets was done above board. I don't think that's too much to ask.
  15. It's a reasonably well stuctured rehash of yesterdays defence with a carefully worded admission of accepting a six figure sum thrown in for good measure. One thing I'd like to know is exactly when this money was received. Was it before or after the transfer of shares was completed?
  16. I don't see the problem here. It wasn't the job of McCoist or any existing employee to restructure the business. What the club needed from square one was as much stability as possible. Green and co did deliver on this front and I for one am happy to see they've taken time to consider these changes rather than wiping the slate clean at the first opportunity. I'm prepared to give them the benefit of the doubt here.
  17. Sure is if he said that on 7/06/2011
  18. I was under the impression that a condition of our SFA membership being transferred was to show Whyte had no involvement whatsoever. I've no idea if the same applies to other Scottish clubs.
  19. There's always the money he possibly / probably took out of oldco in the first place though.
  20. Cathcart is a former NI youth POTY, came through the Man Utd youth system, made 30 EPL appearances for Blackpool and having been NI U21 captain, now at the age of 24 has 14 full caps. At least his CV looks good.
  21. I don't see anyone here suggesting they would take Whyte's word for anything. I wouldn't even believe my ears if I was to hear one of his tapes. The troubling thing for me is Green's response. He's admitted lying to Whyte and doesn't even seem to realise he's confirming that he lied to the fans in the process. The whole thing's a tangled web of deceit and I for one don't find it the least bit f**king amusing
  22. The other questions are a) how much more 'evidence' is Whyte sitting on? b) Why has he left it till now to present this evidence? c) Why has he done so through the tabloids instaed of the courts if he thinks he has any real claim of ownership?
  23. Not according to the CVA proposal or wikipedia - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ownership_of_Rangers_F.C.
  24. I'm not worried about Whyte regaining ownership here. What I am worried about is exactly what deal was in place between Green, Whyte and D&P and the possible repercussions
  25. What part isn't the case? That Whyte was Sevco 5088?
