  1. Hes a deep lying midfielder whos is a fantastic passer of a ball
  2. Read Brian McClair was astonished that Man Utd had let this boy go , hes very highly rated down south
  3. I said it last year and I hate to say I agree with Law but unfortunately I do , we were a shambles of a club last year and this year gives us a bit of breathing space to put in place the necessary things for next year .
  4. But you have to start from somewhere GS , we aren't in a perfect world and if in the short term we use loan players so be it , I don't want us to do down the Celtic route
  5. Radamel Falcao is just one example , the EPL was littered with loanees last year , 2 years ago Watford had a near entire squad of loanees , prompting a change in the rules
  6. Appologies trublue , I overstepped the mark
  7. Fair point
  8. Sorry mate and I am not being funny but I cant make head nor tail of what you posted , can you separate it out , everything is just jumbled together , I dont know what I am meant to respond to. The question at the bottom I can answer ,on 1 you nor I know if they are good enough , but since Mark Warburton has went out of his way to sign these guys early , he clearly believes they are and that they can improve them . On 2 your just being a prick And as for the here and now , only one of us is living in the here and now your living way way way in the past.
  9. There s not a team in Britain that doesnt use loan players and with the EPL clubs having a 25 man squad cap it would be daft not to try and use this system. Can I also point out we are basically starting again and doing now what should have happened those 3 wasted years ago.
  10. You are taking a guys opinion and asking us for the sake of your arguement to take it as fact , you fail to factor in what Mark Warburton has said repeatedly and you mis represent what the original poster has said on numerous things . He never compared our signing policy to that of Hibs or Hearts , what he did do was point out the mistakes we mmade whilst highlighting how a team made up of youths and free transfers romped the league by a country mile . As for those on trial and not signing or signing , surely even through your blinkered views its better to give these guys a proper trial period than the way we used to do things , which was that if they could stand and run around a pitch once or twice they were given a contract whether it suited the team or not . You say the 3 players we signed will not be good enough for the SPFL ,thats your opinon , how you know this as fact escapes me , you say its not sensible to sign these guys up for 3 years yet you also say its not right so sign free transfers , I think you are a wee bit confused as to what you want, the commercial or sporting interest of a free transfer is something that every club in the world now utilise as is the loan market , why we should bve any different is beyon me. And you end up with the usual dig at King , how many times guys like you need to be told that there is a share issue coming up is beyond me and gets tiresome . Like I said your post is just a ramble of your opinions which contradict themselves , we have a management team that knows what they are looking for but you know better , why you didnt get the job is something we will all just have to live with I guess .
  11. I know this is possibly too early but did you notice any difference in style or tempo
  12. I read an article by a spurs fan and he quoted the ages , to be honest it was probably a mixture of all their players
  13. Sorry but that's just rambling nonsense , try reading my post again
  14. What will be interesting is after a few months , if there is a marked difference in the style and yempo of these kids
  15. It was their under 23,s Zappa
  16. double post
  17. I copied this from the poster Ibrox preacher over on RM , I couldnt agree more . Mr Warburton hasn't signed enough players and of a high enough standard according to some. Look at it like this - Hearts romped this division by dozens of points with a "bank book like Greece", a new manager, half the youth team, a host of free's from around Europe and loans from similar fields. The were up against ourselves and Hibs yet did the job with ease. I put it to the doubters that our finances are ok, we have a more experienced manager of a better caliber, we have "youth" on a par with anything Hearts had/have, we have signed someone for money, we have signed some free's, we are aiming to sign some more free's but only when they prove themselves on trial, we will no doubt be looking at more free's and loan's. Hibs couldn't get the better of our failing team when it mattered and St Mirren are running on empty promises. Should we be having a fit at this point all things considered? Bear in mind where we were and the financial-mismanagement at the club. If you believed Dave King was going to buy £5M players for the Scottish Championship with his own money then you'd have my sympathy for being simple and for not seeing the club match your ambitions but the reality is this division has next to no financial rewards and players of quality wouldn't touch it with a barge pole, the slowly - slowly- catchy monkey approach here is the way to go. We want to to the job well but in a fashion which is financially sensible. Why sign big earners for this division and run the risk of finding out they're gash in the top flight? It's possible that would happen, it's happened how many times to us so far?! We could have offered a contract to the boy on trial, but despite our lack of signing progress the manager said "we want a longer look at you", by doing this he's said without saying 'don't get silly with the demands son we aren't sure about you for the Scottish Championship', 'ok if this boy had anything better on the table he'd have walked', 'we want to make sure the people we look to bring in are 100% right for us and we won't be desperate nor rushed in confirming our happiness with these players coming in'. Surely these are good things?! We're half way towards a spine having been signed, there's one or two known to be on the radar, we will surely be looking at loans in London when we're kicking about with Tottenham with evidently no interest in a friendly cash boost. Judge the man on what he achieves not on his apparent lack of desperation in signing players at half a million plus in the Scottish Championship!
  18. It should also be pointed out that Celtic success rate in these transfers of " winning the lottery" with the likes of Wanyama , is more than offset by their abysmal % rate with other duds , they have less than a 20% turnover rate in selling players at a profit . Adam Mathews is just another quick point incase , he was bought for just under £2 million , and was sold for the same money , minus his cut as he didnt ask for a transfer .
  19. Smoking gun from whom , is the fact mcmurdo is being paid by media house not enough to get you wondering what his agenda is , and this was known before this blog , I've known for months he was being paid , Jack Irvine let it slip to someone I know
  20. You certainly can't get a refund from buyrangers , only if and when they have money available and I believe it's after 3 years , but the shares stay with the RST , anyway it's just been confirmed this is not a merger idea so what we are discussing is irrelevant
  21. That simply can't happen , it's a very simplistic idea but from my understanding having been to some of the meetings it's not possible , if you know different please enlighten me
  22. Don't understand what your trying to say mate sorry
  23. No that's not what I meant at all , the way these are set up legally means they might not be able to come together , they have hundreds of thousands of pounds invested and are liable to their members
  24. I fully accept that , however when they are getting stories planted in the papers etc it's when the line is crossed It's only due to better relations with the press that these stories are getting stopped , but it won't always work
