That's not an answer though , a good candidate or rather a good board member could come from any background , it doesn't need to be a professional , for god sake Donohoes an imbecile he shouldn't be allowed any where near club1872 ( I will give you him ) the rest IMHO are very decent to very good , Iain Leiper and Ian Martin are outstanding
-
What are you looking for in a candidate to stand as a volunteer board member , I thought some of the candidates were excellent
-
Don't understand your point , what's these candidates got to do with you not being happy with the Rangers board
-
That's because everyone's waiting on the videos to be uploaded onto a computer instead of getting down to Ibrox , and it's been on every site including this one from day 1
-
Don't see anything wrong with his actions, the whole squad need a kick up the arse including the manager, hopefully some mirrors will be getting a right good look at .
-
2nd hustings meeting now available on the club1872 site , would encourage all club1872 members to view it before the elections and all non members to join up
-
Another excellent hustings tonight , all the candidates spoke very well , Brian Donohoe appeared unannounced and sort of derailed it a bit but it got sorted eventually , as per last meeting its been videoed and will be on the club1872 site soon . For me Iain Leiper aka @D'Artagnan , and Ian Martin are my standouts .

5 games we've played this year with 11 new additions added some haven't kicked a ball yet , 5 games guys
-
No I understand but it's just 1 game , we will improve as a team and as a club , but it's going to take time , just the same way as yesterday doesn't make them a great team , in some ways that makes it worse , but I honestly believe MWs after match presser was very good and very sensible .
-
As per usual there is a total over reaction to this defeat , but then it's not like Rangers fans to go full throttle , as GS stated above this is not going to be an easy ride , it's going to be long and painful with many more twists and turns before we return to even resembling a proper football club again . We have numerous off field issues , court cases , possible criminal sentences( hopefully ) to get sorted , meanwhile we have a manager dealing in sweeties trying to put a team together after the shambles that he was left by McCoist. Yesterday was a sore one , no doubt about it , but we are only in September , 5 games into the season 2nd , 3rd or even 4th was always going to get our best hope , unless they implode which I can't see . So everyone needs to just chill and remember we support the greatest team in the world, it's not all bad.

Don't think he's on it , or if he is I don't know him
-
No hes not , hes a bit of a loose cannon is Brian

Just watched the individual presentations, some very decent candidates standing so far
-
Is there any plans to show the candidates making their pitches , the Q&A was very good but I would have thought the presentations were more pertinent
-
Christine I didn't ask who told them , I was more bothered about the Shane scenario , as I said before its irrelevant now, it's done and the person that told me isn't bothered anymore , so I'm not getting into someone else's battles , been there done that , not doing it again
-
It's irrelevant now

Pete , I was not and am not against Club1872 , however I have been consistent in my criticism that's it's been rushed through with very little thought to what it was going to look like and the process required to get it to where it wants to be. I was told it had to happen this summer , it would all be OK and everything would be sorted out .All we asked for was a 2 or 3 month window to get things sorted, told it couldn't happen . The working group have been working on this for 4 months , this includes people that are in organisations that have elections either annually or biannually yet here we are and the first thing they do they fuck up , plus the hustings , candidates were told they would only be questioned on their presentations , yet that quickly became a rabble when people's past were questioned , you either do it right or don't do it at all . Sorry but I don't buy this whole , it was a mistake pish .
-
That's not the point though , I have no issue with using technology , I use it for trustee meetings all the time, my issue is certain people being allowed to use it whilst others are told they must turn up in person , if you can't get basic information right at the start it doesn't bode well .
-
And regards the Skype issue ,potential candidates were told 1 week prior to the deadline that they had to appear in person at the hustings
-
You should have stood
-
The problem is two fold , firstly the support is totally apathetic to all this electioneering , out of 8 guys in my work who I managed to get to join RF , 4 have already chucked it and the other 4 don't do social media or forums such as these , they simply aren't interested , that is a snap shot of the support , we have discussed at length in the past the % of fans that are online easily below 10% . Secondly your correct , everyone was to make themselves available " in person " at the hustings , not vis Skype or any other type of dial in , yet these rules are already getting bent/broken . Lastly the way certain people are getting promoted is very worrying , it's far too coincidental that the exact same list keeps appearing online and in print , I would be less sceptical if it coincided with the order they were listed on the club1872 site but they don't .
-
And just what exactly was wrong with what he was asking , the RF members , of which you weren't one , were being asked to vote on something that the RF board couldn't give them answers to , we were asked to vote on something that was against their own articles of association , less than 25% of the membership voted on that , it was rushed and it was flawed , we are now seeing that coming home to roost . This could have been so great for the club , instead it's a shambles and no one will convince me otherwise , there are more questions still unanswered than answered , but all you get told is ," move on , we need to move on , the pasts the past ," my Arse .

That's not what the petition was about and well you know it , will await the condemnation of others that are standing on their chequered pasts , won't hold my breath though . Oh and Richard Atkinson has already backed up the reason behind the petition as being correct .
