  1. Res 11 is in doubt , it didn't get the required % last time and some are dead against allowing directors to allocate shares to whomever they want without giving existing shareholders their chance to keep their percentage shareholding , it's ok when it's Ashley getting a doing but what if club1872 get bypassed .
  2. The vast majority of chat I've witnessed is over Res11 , some think it's the greatest thing since sliced bread others the devil incarnate , I'm not 100% sure .

    Friday's AGM

Anyone else going , fancy a meet up .
  4. How have you found it Craig
  5. You can only take a horse to water , every member was emailed so if they can't be bothered logging on what else can club1872 do , we really do have the most pathetically apathetic support in the world, it's always up to someone else with our fellow fans .
  6. I'm going to join after Xmas is over and. I have more time on my hands , still dubious of playing a monthly fee but willing to give it a go .
  7. Football men in greed and lies shocker, I don't really know where your going or what your wanting , the entire game is corrupt , why are you surprised or shocked , it's all about the money
  8. It doesn't mention him giving any evidence at all in that article , it slaughters Lee,s version where he states he was in a meeting in Liverpool with McParland but there are no quotes referencing anything McParland gave as evidence
  9. Thank you , the last part was what I was looking for, I see where your coming from now
  10. But that's my entire point , why the need to do it now , if you can raise £30 million raise £30 million , don't issue £30 million worth of share to only raise £20 million , I'm not disagreeing with your explanation , I'm arguing why now .
  11. Ok I will try this way , if we have a £30 million share issue that's fully subscribed , taking costs out of the equation , how much goes into our bank £30 million . If we have a £30 million share issue and £10 million of soft loans get swapped for equity but the rest is full subscribed , again taking costs out the equation £20 million goes into our account or am I incorrect .
  12. Sorry Bluedell I posted before fully reading you and calscots posts , but we don't have £10 million in the bank it's gone , plus according to the accounts we are going to need another handout from the directors to get us through this year , we are cash poor , more going out than coming in , so why are we paying back this money now , it's crazy IMHO . The 3 bears are continually telling us , they are here for the long haul , why the need to repay it now, that's all I'm saying
  13. Sorry I might not be describing my position very well , I agree 100% with Bluedell description , I have never tried to distort that , at this precise point in time we have no money , nada , zero , zilch , no retail nor commercial deals to speak off , we do have soft loans which for the sake of argument we are rounding off at £10 million , these loans do not accrue interest or dividends and are interest free . All I am trying to get across is at this precise point in time when we desperately need cash to buy better players to give ourselves a better chance of pressuring Celtic and winning cups and possibly doing better in Europe next year ( I fully expect us to finish second and qualify ) , surely if we are having another share issue , now is not the time to convert the soft loans into equity .No matter how you put it if at this point in time you convert debt into equity you are reducing the amount that goes into the bank in pounds and pence , I get the balance sheet bit, I get the fact it's going to happen , I just don't see the need to do it now .
  14. Your still losing £10 million , which at this point in time we need .I am not saying they shouldn't get their money back , just not right now
  15. Sorry BD I must be getting the wrong end of the stick here , the way it was getting discussed elsewhere was if for example there were £20 million worth of shares being issued but those directors who had coughed up the soft loans were due £10 million , then there would only be £10 million coming into the club as the other £10 million would be getting converted to shares due in place of the loans , if that's not the case then I'm wrong about this
  16. In that I agree , which is why I'm against a debt for equity swop
  17. So if the Easdale block become available club1872 shouldn't try for them , there would be an outcry
  18. Bluedell do you agree though that if you limit your scope of share buying to future share issues , club 1872 might never reach 25plus 1 % , I really can't see what's the issue with buying from the open market
  19. Both Bluedell and forlansister have a much greater knowledge of these things than I do and as a rule of thumb I nearly always listen and learn from their posts . However at this precise time in our rebuilding , when we have no retail or any great commercial deals , sponsorships etc , and we are relying on free transfers or low cost players , I fail to see how any future share issue ( and I'm plucking figures out the air here ) , where of a possible £20 million injection into the club , £10 million is on a swap basis that sees only £10 million go into the coffers . Yes our balance sheet looks tremendous , but I've yet to see a balance sheet that can score a goal .
  20. They are getting something of value back , which if they run the club correctly will only increase in value , so yes your correct , but long term they are getting their money back and then some . My biggest issue with this process is they don't need to do it , in fact it will damage us more in the long term , but that's just my opinion.
  21. This is where I have an issue with the current board , there is no need at this present time for them to swap their investment for equity , but that's exactly what is planned , so in effect they are getting their money back at a time when you quite rightly point out we desperately need cash . We still have no retail nor commercial deals to speak off. , the playing squad needs serious investment away from free transfers , yet the agenda seems to be directors getting their money back pronto .
  22. That's on the premise that the club sell them ant unsold shares , there maybe current directors who want them , and from what I gather club1872 have more than enough cash to take up their full allocation and more .
  23. But surely you can't just keep waiting to take up your rights at any future share issue , your % would stay the same , the only way to get to 25% plus 1 is by buying via the open market , unless any of the current board are willing to dilute their shareholding .
  24. I have no issues with club 1872 sourcing shares from all avenues available to them , the more shares they can get hold of the better for us as a club .I understand the argument of money not going to the club but that IMHO was never a realistic " only purchasing option " , once shares are released its game on .
  25. How did he fail last year, we won the league in a canter , other Rangers teams, much better than this one have switched off after winning the league , the team that lost the Scottish cup to Dundee Utd for one, you forget the mess he inherited.
