This Ajax team sold £250 million worth of talent , if the had sold the other 3 players that EPL teams were in for , it would have been above the £400 million. How anyone thinks we are going to compete at this level is way beyond me , we are where we are and just have to live with it . its amazing the number of fans who even after everything we went through , after the last few years of massive losses and the front loading of investment which culminated in winning 55, still have no clue as to how football finances work . Sorry I should have explained better , I wasn’t having a go at posters on here , but on other forums and especially twitter . I really think though that having a squad of nigh on 30 players , though that does include Devine , Lowry , McCann and Kieran Wright I’d big enough , it was 32 but Kelly and Katic are away . we just can’t keep buying players , it’s the harsh reality of where we are . And we need to keep the pathway for young players free .

If the players we want aren't available then you are just signing players for no other reason , also there's a world cup in less than 3 months , who knows who will become available .

The amount of panty wetters amongst our support is unreal , unless players go our, we ain't bringing anyone in , plus any team that is forced to buy on the last day us due to desperation , every season its the same . CALM DOWN.

We simply have far too big a squad as it is , we need some players moved on and replaced with better quality , we would be far better served having a squad of 24 , instead of a bloated 27/28 , and that’s taking the likes of Katic , Kelly , Wright (the goalie ) and McCann as well as Lowry out the mix .

Oh and as an example of when Balogun was in defence , we lost 2 at home to Benfica , another 2 at home to liege, another 2 at home to Malmo , another 2 at home to slavia and lastly another 2 at home to lyon .

See the hindsight brigade are out in full cry tonight , we signed Soutar , we have Sands , Helander and young King , the outcry when we gave Davis and Arfield new 1 year deals was deafening , as it would have been had Balogun resigned. They are a big team and they play set pieces well , but they ain't unbeatable .

Tillman because he appeared both halves , Lawrence and Kent were both decent second half which unsurprisingly led to Borna having a much better game , people need to get off his back , when teams double up on Kent he has no out ball , it’s ok for Arfield and Lawrence to make runs where they aren’t going to get the ball .

Amazing night , given Kent , Arfield and Lawrence only turned up for the 2nd half , we need to play at that 2nd half tempo to win against PSV , cmon

Absolutely brilliant 3 points on a horrific pitch and with horrendous officiating. Tillman was excellent as was Kent and Tav does what he does, onwards to Tuesday night.

I thought considering some of these players have only played twice together that we did really well today , what killed us was 2 slack passes and they totally took their chances . Say what you like about him but Kane is ruthless . We looked really really good in patches and domestically we will give some teams a right spanking if we can continue ating fast one touch football .
