  1. In the season at the moment , Leicester city’s shirt deal is worth ......... £4 million per year
  2. Plus getting a wee mention helped lol , thanks Stevie .
  3. Really enjoyed that , what a difference when you have rational people discussing these issues , with no agendas .
  4. Why don’t we just wait a little while before ripping this to shreds , and just as an aside , at the height of our retail our best ever deal vis JJB was worth £4.8 million a year , £18 million upfront and £3 per year , when Murray sold our entire retail operation .
  5. At the end of the day , I really don’t care regards who makes our tops or even distributes them , as long as they pony up the money and do everything that they promise in the contract and the club make money , happy days . adidas , puma , Nike , Umbro , Hummel . Every pound they offer is equal to the pound from the other , at the end of the day .
  6. I believe what he’s trying to say , is that this is what the SPFL board told all clubs prior to the vote to pressurise them into accepting the shoddy deal on offer , along with withholding the fact they could get loans , also the Patrick thistle legal advice states that under the SPFL rule book there is no means to call a league if the required amount of games haven’t been played .
  7. Mondays a bank holiday , how could they pay out on a bank holiday
  8. I don’t get the “ they have contracts “ point , the vast majority of people on furlough have contracts , as a club that has been where we have been due to poor management and also as a club that runs currently at a loss , the health if the club should be paramount . Asking millionaires to take a cut fir a few months is not in my book a major ask , where will this leave us in our journey if the rebuilding of the squad has to be scaled back even for 6 months . I could be totally wrong in this but I just don’t get it .
  9. That’s part of my point , who’s to say you would both get in , if attendances are dramatically reduced .
  10. Your working on , 1-that this season is played to a conclusion and that present Tv contracts are honoured in full , and I suspect ,2- that next season carries on in exactly the same form and number of games as is usual . Both are very highly unlikely , plus the threat of the Champions league , europa league being cancelled, and also the loss of revenue that clubs are already experiencing , I just can’t see it . The latest rumour is that attendances will be vastly reduced due to social distancing , another hit to clubs , how will they administer that , especially clubs like ours with a high season ticket number .
  11. No matter when we start another football season , surely the impact that this Covid crisis has had on society , surely to god football must come to its senses over transfer fees and the way it has done business , this will surely change football from the present and for a good few years , thoughts .
  12. Understand that mate , but some companies like mine made over £96 million profit last year
  13. You can only be furloughed if you were in post as off the 28th February this year , also there is nothing to stop a good employer paying their staff 100% of their income , bad employers imho , like mine , are paying the minimum, I took the furlough because some of my colleagues with young families simply couldn’t afford it . The world as we know it , business , employment have changed forever , who knows how long real life as we knew it will take to come back if at all .
  14. I’m sorry but why the fuck are footballers treated any differently to any other man or woman , their contracts are exactly the same in principle , these people earn more in a week than some guys earn yearly , yet we some how feel sympathy for them or give them a bye . In situations such as the one we are going through they should be leading from the front , if things go badly across Europe , many will simply have their contracts ripped up as lucrative Tv deals are cancelled and clubs go to the wall. This is situation is not going to end anytime soon .Even when the infection rate slows , public gatherings will be slowly introduced and monitored, the idea that 50, 000 people can make their way to a single destination and interact with god know how many people is just ridiculous . UEFA have shown themselves up to be way behind the 8 ball on this one .
  15. Guys , why anyone still subscribes to sky is beyond me , get an iptv fire stick chipped , £50 for the year and you get everything including club tv , just search twitter or google , I’ve had it 2 years only had an issue for 8 days once .
  16. And just what age are you , young man , Willie Woodburn, just when did you see him and in what game
  17. How old are you Bill , lol
  18. No mate , other way round , he was a better midfielder
  19. I didn't see either Mr Greig or Jardine play so cant include them
  20. Ok here’s my go , and given I’m 53 I get a wee bit more scope . Goram Gary Stevens. Richard Gough. Terry Butcher. Arthur Numan Souness. Barry Ferguson brian laudrup Iain durrant. Davie Cooper Michael Mols .
  21. Just a quick post to shut down the stories about Alfie being over weight and carrying a bit of timber , well he just came into the gym I use on the Southside , not far from Ibrox and a short walk from where he stays . This boy is ripped and is carrying no excess body fat .
  22. I work in the emergency services and we have next to no guidance on this , however what we do know is the number of cases and deaths , however what is completely unknown is the number of people who had it and made a complete recovery , all this proves is the mortality rate is no where near what they are quoting because of the unknowns . Also what we do know is that last year in the UK , approx 26000 people died from seasonal flu , and that has stayed constant since they started recording properly in 2014 , it’s actually 23000 in England and Wales and around 3000 up here . Going back to the topic , there are just too many unknown factors at this moment to make any kind of decision , it’s not just who wins a title , it’s european spots , relegation , promotion , and that’s before you go into players who are out of contract or have signed for other clubs , if they get injured after a certain date who’s liable etc etc . UEFA need to make a decision right across football and use the prize money from the 2 main competitions that haven’t been completed to help the poorer nations , but we all know this won’t happen . This might just put some clubs in Scotland to the wall , we’ve been down there , we know what it’s like , no matter what I personally feel towards other clubs , I wouldn’t want to kill any team just to placate another , we need a wise head to sort this out , unfortunately we don’t have any .
  23. Simply outplayed by much better players , it’s not rocket science at this level , this team spent a fortune to top up the very good players they already had , We have players on frees and on their last legs , we can expect no more or no less . When this team breaks up as it surely looks like it will , we should build it around Hagi .
  24. I really fear for us tomorrow night , it’s really unlike me , but too many injured players in important positions and too many others out of form , so it’s probably a 3-0 win and I look like a mug lol .
  25. why did that post so massively lol
