Morning UCB , good post especially about the inter message board mischief making but I suppose we will have to live with it such is the world we live in , however with regards to Duffy why if he was or is part of a consortium would he break cover the way he did , I would have expected a fully briefed plan ready to be laid out to the fans instead of the I will be releasing details later quote, and especially since he was aware that the NOTW were about to do a story on him , so who's benefit did this serve us or him,I wonder

The amount of flim flamming that is going on in the" Duffy no thanks "thread on FF is amazing , the amount of RST members that are contradicting themselves and contradicting what they said on barrybaldy's thread is amazing . On one hand Stevie Smithsays that he hasn't spoken to Duffy and that the news of the world story is bolloks , then DavidEdgar says " Because his partners wish to remain anonymous doesn't mean we don't know who they are. Similarly, there seems to be an assumption that we didn't know the stuff in that article until we read it." Only time will tell but there is far too much rubbish getting posted ,one thing is certain Duffy isn't the answer

A white knight has finally materialised to save Rangers. Jesus Christ, a prominent and much-worshipped figure at both Rangers and Celtic over many years, has opted to back the boys in blue. "I have lingered long over this decision, but my mind is made up. I cannot remain in the shadows while the Rangers are in need of divine intervention". "I shall save the club and give it to the people, the chosen ones; they who deserve better". The revelation came as a shock to Ibrox fans, but immediately some doubt was cast on Christ`s ability to beneficially intervene. "He has a criminal record", observed one Ibrox fan while another declared that his unruly appearance was not in keeping with the club`s strict dress code. "No way is the top man at Ibrox going to be accepted wearing a skirt and sandals", he opined. Christ`s favoured long-haired look did not endear itself either. "We don`t want a poof in charge", said one supporter who preferred to remain anonymous. Christ hasn`t been to Ibrox for some time, but he admitted to having looked down on the old place from time to time over the years and believes the club`s finest-ever servant was Tom Vallance. "They don`t make them like that any more", he declared. Asked about his feelings for Celtic, Jesus admitted that he was fond of them too. "Of course I love Celtic. Loving the enemy comes naturally to me". Christ has apparently been in talks with the RST for several weeks but both parties agreed to keep the meetings secret. "I`m really honoured to have met the RST people, said Jesus, "especially David Edgar". Asked what he could bring to the table, Jesus modestly replied, "I can walk on water and turn water into wine, but I`ll have my work cut out getting Walter to play an adventurous 4-4-2". With the press pack lapping up his every word, there was just one discordant note. "What about the bigotry"? Graham Spiers (the discredited journalist) (the discredited journalist), Scottish football`s self-appointed moral crusader was in the room. "You may continue to write about it", said Jesus, "and don`t hold back on the ******s". Radio Clyde`s Hugh Keevins followed up with his tuppence-worth. "The Celtic support will be unhappy that you`ve sided against them, Jesus". "They`ve still got the Pope", said Jesus, with a cheeky grin breaking out on his countenance, "and Glasgow City Council". "Do you have a message for Rangers supporters", asked the BBC`s Chick Young? "I do indeed, Chick", replied Christ. "Don`t vote Labour"! And with a swish of his kaftan, Christ rose to his feet and left the room with a song in his heart. "Sure it`s old ...

Gersnet moderators in vegas strip club shocker I can see the headlines now , any pictures -
The very fact a consortium, if in fact that is what is behind this , decided to choose this guy as the face of Revolution worries me , I wouldn't give him any of my hard earned , perception and image is everything and this guy looks like a del boy Craig you mentioned that they had spent or rather were reported to have spent £100K on due diligence , now if that is true then surely Murray would be aware of this small fact , I may not be the brightest at this but surely you need approach the business you want to buy if you are carrying this out

Panacea: An Answer or Solution for all Problems or Difficulties

Since Advocatt had to leave due to various reasons , in my opinion all Murrays expectations and hopes went with him , since then we have been on a downward spiral of costcutting and down sizing , our support has continually been told to expect less whilst paying more . The middle paragraph of maineflyer's post is possibly the most accurat summation of our current position that I have read in a long while . We are a club with no direction and even worse no ambition , our entire being seems to be getting through each season without losing a fortune , whilst paying average players a fortune in wages and bonuses . I do not have a chrystal ball and I cannot even get a winner on the fixed odds , but I hope for all our sakes that our fortune changes and changes very soon in the respect of any new owner must have a drive and a vision to match the support , if not god knows what the future holds -
Unless there is big money to appoint a new man and give him transfer funds in january then it is pointless talking about changing Walter now , we will just have to muddle through as usual and cling on to the hope that our main rivals are just as pish as us , their next few games are quite tasty so hopefully they will drop some more points as well as getting pumped out of europe on wednesday

I dont really see that we have an option , we have no money to get another manager of any quality in , even then they would want money for players and again we have none

I have to agree I have probably learned more and had my own beliefs questioned on here more than in all the years I spent posting on FF , also as I said to UCB it's funny how FF is now almost completely behind the RST where as a year or so ago it was 100% anti RST

Cheers Totti I realise that , I had a we bit of fun with him last night but at his age he's obviously getting a bit past it in the upstairs dept .

I posted this on a reply to that spanner , spanner , It was Duffy who contacted king and gave him the heads up on this proposal and that king could quote him on it , he would give no more details only saying more details would come out in the next few weeks , this was in the form of a phone call at approx 4 pm friday , now given that the deadline for the evening times and herald is 6.30 it didn't leave them much time to get the story written properly as the two papers had to be completly rejigged the final copy only going to Cambuslang at 7.30pm, I will know more next week but this is far from a done deal , what is certain is that Murray is playing no part in this anymore , he is totally perifferal

I take it that is for my benefit , well so be it , I am no expert I just read the same as you and listen to those I respect and have known and trusted for a number of years . Firstly I would not believe anyhing that comes out of Murrays mouth , this man has lied , lied and lied again over the years and his mismanageent of our club has led us to where we are today in the mire , now you can continue with your " we are all right " stance that's your perogative however the facts are far from that . As for this guy Duffy the truth is he contacted King , not the other way around , no details of his plans were put to King or really anything other than King could quote him and that he was putting proposals together and further details would be made available very shortly . Now the other thing about the timing of this is that another paper were about to do a job on Duffy so whether this was a pre-emptive move no one really knows , all of this came in a phone call at 4 pm on Friday , now the evening times and the Herald's deadline for print is 6.30 on Friday night they eventually got this out at the back of 7 after redoing the two papers , that's why some of the details especially about Duffy's past business ventures were very sketchy and rushed , more will come out this week but this is far from any where near a done deal. Also you put a great deal on what wasn't an interview but a political broadcast by the SDM party that even Gordon Brown's spin doctors woud have been proud of , as for selling his prize asset in Bothwell St for £20 million less than value and that it also has a 5 year 100% lease , that is being done because he thinks it's a great time to sell get real . As for you last coment about" business as usual will be and is the order of the day " I take it you believe further cuts are immenent as that seems to be the only order of the day a Ibrox just now and for the last year and a half

yes my account has been suspended till next sunday , I have e-mailed the admin/postmaster but had no reply , I thought the guy was a wee bit out of order stating he would believe SDM before anything that appeared on FF , I dont really see the point of that to be honest

That's a much better way of saying what I wanted to say , damn I need to get out , see you all tomorrow

is is true then all well and good QUOTE=Union City Blue;180195]A new, lead, potential investor is quoted in the media today discussing membership schemes and supporter involvement. If you think about it, that is massive progress in itself. Pro-Trust and anti-Trust is petty and irrelevant IMHO. It's about Rangers opening the club up to supporters in a meaningful way. It really depends if this guy is the real deal or just using us for his own ends , I am having lunch tomorrow with a very good friend whom is very close to this , will let you know more then , if this is proper then all well and good until then I stay a sceptic
