Join Supporters Group Statement News - Assembly News "The Rangers Supporters’ Trust, Rangers Supporters Assembly and Rangers Supporters Association united today in expressing alarm at recent comments made by the club's Manager, Walter Smith: "anybody who thinks it is going to get better in the summer is deluding themselves. My concerns for Rangers for the long term - not even in the long term, for the end of the season - are genuine concerns as being a supporter as much as being a manager." We call on Rangers fans to stand shoulder to shoulder with Walter Smith and we ask all fans to show public support for the Manager and join us on February 14th at Ibrox where fans will express their frustration at the club's current situation. All fans' groups are united in seeking a public announcement from the Club Chairman on the precise remit and intent of both Donald Muir and Lloyds Banking Group, regarding the future of Rangers Football Club. Finally we ask parties who have expressed an interest in buying into Rangers FC to now come forward publicly with an outline of their plans, specifically on how the Rangers support can be involved and help overcome barriers to a successful, sustainable transfer of ownership which will secure the Club's future." Looks like I'm not alone in wanting to know what Muir's remit is ??????

I know that Boss but again that covers a multitude of sins , and when was he made god , for all the info coming out of the club is that every decision re-money has to go through him
-
That covers a multitude of sins and doesn't explain anything , sorry I actually thought you knew what he was there for my mistake, and if he is that good perhaps he should spend more time worrying about MIH than a company that is solvent , just a thought
-
If the proposed player sale goes ahead , or rather the down sizing continues , you wont need to worry about it being an option it will be a given
-
Well why dont you enlighten us as to exactly what is his job , as to my knowledge he has never spoken publicly nor had his job fully explained either to shareholders like me or to the support in general . It may help the situation , also if we are solvent and trading as you state why is he blocking contracts and also why is the future state of the club being so widely talked about or is everyone else wrong and you are the sole light in a sea of darkness . I also hate to admit this but I agree with you about Johnston

After listening to various Radio station last night I am even more confused than ever , from Bitter Maguire stating that Rangers are indeed fortunate to have someone of the quality of Muir looking after their interests ( I nearly crashed the car at that point ) , to Radio Scotland going the entirely opposite way with regards to Muir and our present circumstance can someone please explain why Lloyds are taking this current course of action . I realise we have been making loses and indeed action was needed to avoid further loses , 12 players later and over £5million in fees surely this has been addressed to some extent . £22 million of our current £31 million debt is being repaid at £1million per year over 22 years I accept the interest will be sore but will also reduce every year , the current debt is being forecast at £25 milion after this years C/L money so in effect we have £4 million short term debt . So why are Lloyds wanting to get all the debt repaid this summer as is being reported or at very worst suggested by these supposed dramatic cuts to the squad ..

This is getting as ridiculous as the rumour that the " gerbil " who was shot in the north of the city was the hood blackmailing MacGregor , Glasgow is effin brilliant for rumours
-
sorry mate dont agree with that remark , but each to his own
-
I dont think that is what Danny is saying and too be honest the vast majority of our match day, fellow fans do not visit web based fans forum sites such as this on any kind of basis , what Danny is saying is something I have been asked on numerous occasions by friends whom I would count as real Rangers men . But their experience of Rangers tends to be match days and the papers , that,s it , we need the message out and a figurehead would certainly help
-
Hi mate god to see you over here , excellent post , my biggest worry is that 1 . we have no real figure head to front this up ,and 2. the protest against Hibs is a wee bit soon to really galvanise a support or at least a majority to really drive the point home , however I will be right behind it so well done on getting people at least talking again
-
Arthur Numan would be a perfect figurehead IMHO , whether it's something that appeals is another matter
-
Yet another deflect and ignore post , at least you are consistent :(

Edgar never conceded he was a bank employee , listen again only this time try concentrating
-
I never said it was off the back of one article , I just know he was off with stress
-
I thought he spoke very well and raised some very pertinent points , Muir is acting like a little hitler just now and needs brought down a peg or two
-
Daryll King has been off work due to stress . The articles he was writing caused major problems .
-
How is Contacts anyway , always looked forward to reading his posts , however that was a while ago as he seems to have dissappeared
-
frankie that's my worry , I really hope they know what they are doing , as the price if true is an absoulte bargain for a club that if run properly would have access to the C/L more often than not , however we seem to have hit an impasse over what amounts to the transfer fee for one decent player , I just think they are being stupid
-
Who ever is involved , they really need to get their finger out , there is a real difference between striking the right deal and cutting their noses off . Also at the moment there is a real or maybe percieved level of goodwill towards these unknown financial saviours , however if as we hope we win 53 then the apathy that our support wears like a badge of honour will see that diminish IMHO , with the attitude being well whats the problem were still winning , It's going to be a long few months
-
It really makes me laugh when we see their balance sheet and results being held up as some sort of financial trophy when the reality is that they are being propped up by secret deals with their primary puppet master Mr Desmod Dermott , as Hugh hates him being called
-
Oh my sides , please pleasee stop it !! I cant take it any more , world domination ruined by the mighty Killie , Broonaldo the new left back oh nurse quick !!!!!!!!
-
absolutely priceless , mind you that was how thousands spent the last few hours of last night watching the transfer window close
-
2 days is hardly enough time given we were not expecting to get any money , let's face it our scouting is so bad we were never likely and unless Willie McLies had a spare player or two he couldn't get rid of to any one else we were up against it .
