  1. Like I posted earlier some of us really appreciate you sticking your head above the parapit , ignore Wabash , he's a very grumpy wee interneter , though annoyingly even he is some times right . Then again even a broken clock is right twice aday . What will be will be , the whole process is taking far too long , however if this Ellis deal does go pear shaped then it's him not you who will look stupid , no one has to believe anything that is posted on the internet no matter the intentions , so we just have to keep believing mate
  2. N L , I bet you wish you had never heard of, or came into contact with Ellis , however for what it's worth thanks for posting
  3. that was difficult , doh !!!!
  4. Bluedell it really has went way past the tedious point , it must be blatantly obvious to even a blind man that we are not going anywhere and that Wabash's prediction way way back has proved correct ,Murray is still the only game in town unfortunately , as he is unable to take us anywhere . God knows where the future leads us , it's really depressing
  5. Is this the same company Satty Singh and a couple of other high profile fans were director's off
  6. sorry to ask about more bad news , but how is the RYD insolvent , not heard anything about this
  7. Murray only owns 30 odd % of the club it's MIH that hold the majority share
  8. I agree Frankie but usually it is 3 possibly 4 . we have nearly a whole team out of contract at the end of next season , that is just irresponsible no matter who is in charge
  9. If you look at the overall situation ,nearly every player on our books is out of contract at the end of next season , now that really is a frightening situation to leave any potential new owner
  10. Even worse is the situation we face next year when the bulk of the remaining players are out of contract totally free to walk away , now that is scarey
  11. what is very apparent is that who ever is interested in buying Rangers pays absolutely no stock to anything written in Internet land , we have had an absolute barrel load of articles and appeals for clarity and the necessity for this process to be finalised , well written and very well recieved by the internet masses but absolutely ignored by all the main players . We just have to accept that we are not important in this whole process and patience is the order of the day
  12. Bluedell , my present house is a Dickie , build and whist very nice it could and should have been a lot better .They only employed 3 peolpe directly on site , every trade was subbied and they continually changed due to never completing their contracts , so towards the end the whole estate was a shambles , they may have been a quality company once but not any more , fuuny but their is definetly comparisons with Rangers
  13. yes and considering Jordan MacMillan drives about in a £70 grand RangeRover probably shite , like I said I have no reason to doubt him telling what he was told but he aint the brightest
  14. One of the guys in my work is best mates with a St Johnstone player , he was at the SPFA awards and was told that Wilson was on £400 a week and had only been offered £800 . Now the guy has no reason to lie , he's best mates with this player and in fact will be his best man , he's also a rangers fan though not a very clued up one , personally I think it's rubbish , however you never know
  15. There was me thinking it was an incontinence bag !!!!!!
  16. Can I get someone to heat my seat prior to my arrival or is that too much to ask !!!!!!!
  17. I really hate doing this , but I think you are bang on the money Wabash , god that really was difficult typing that
  18. You should see what the discredited journalists take is on this , in fact I'm going to do something I very rarely do and post one of his articles , talk about deluded , well here goes Yet again, Rangers have shifted their policy to avoid any bad publicity Graham Spiers How influential are newspapers when it comes to decision-making by football clubs? Surprisingly so, it would seem, given events of recent times. The latest case of Rangers suffering due to unflattering editorial comment comes from across the Atlantic, and more specifically in Boston, where the club had been planning to play an Old Firm pre-season friendly against Celtic at the iconic Fenway Park, the 37,000-seater home of the Boston Red Sox. That is, until the Boston Globe, quite a renowned newspaper, weighed in and put the kibosh on the idea. The Globe, in its wisdom, decided it didn’t fancy having Rangers fans marauding around its city in the height of summer, and ran an article ten days ago in which it chose to cite a list of delinquent or unsavoury incidents by travelling Rangers fans down the years. In compiling such a list, with the Manchester riots at the heart of its findings, the Globe found it an almost effortless business compiling its damning evidence. Now what do we find? Rangers, as a consequence, are pulling out of the trip. The club was embarrassed and annoyed by the newspaper coverage — so what’s new? — and have decided to change tack. “We have decided not to pursue it,” Martin Bain, the club’s chief executive, said of the Boston match. “Instead, there is the possibility of matches in Australia and an announcement on that will be made in the next couple of days.” In fairness to Rangers, one important aspect about the Globe article has to be pointed out. The author made confusing and downright erroneous claims about the Ibrox disaster of January 2, 1971, which did not enhance the piece at all. Moreover, it only whetted the appetite of those usual suspects among the Rangers support who are perennially offended, and who got straight on to poor Bain by letter or e-mail to haver indignantly about the article. But the upshot of it all is quite amazing. Yet again, a newspaper article has contributed to a Rangers shift in policy, due to the unwanted publicity. This episode caught my eye, because I have had experience with others in the past of writing things which, while seeming to be no more than tomorrow’s fish-and-chip paper, suddenly appeared to have a bit of political muscle. Most infamously, in the case of the Rangers fine and reprimand by Uefa for bigotry in 2006, it wasn’t anything the club did, or the SFA did, which brought Ibrox to heel. On the contrary, it was newspaper articles that triggered Uefa’s wrath. I know this to be a fact, because of one startling incident. I was lolling around Uefa’s headquarters, supposedly working at a European club draw in December 2006, when a Uefa delegate whom I knew called me into the organisation’s disciplinary department and, before my eyes, opened a drawer full of newspaper cuttings. To my utter amazement, stuffed into this drawer were various pieces I and other reporters had written, about the Old Firm and the bigotry problem. It genuinely flabbergasted me that columns written in The Herald or The Times or elsewhere should have such an impact on Uefa, yet there was the evidence before me. It seems, just as this latest Boston case testifies, that there is nothing worse than bad publicity for Rangers, Celtic or anyone else. Indeed, after that Uefa case, Rangers went into a PR overdrive, hiring a firm to try to ensure “nicer” coverage for the club in the papers, whereupon various characters began to appear hovering over reporters’ shoulders, politely asking what they might be writing about the club the next day. Simultaneously, Mr Bain, whom I’ve always found quite likeable and conscientious, commenced a serious of meetings with newspaper writers and editors, asking if coverage of the Rangers problem might be toned down while the club set about tackling it itself. If you were a sports columnist, your ego might be hugely inflated by all this, though I suspect that aspect can be greatly exaggerated. Yet the fact remains, rightly or wrongly, that big football clubs are very wary of what the media are saying about them. Rangers have clearly been embarrassed by wrongs that were highlighted in the press, and, from what I can detect, they don’t fancy a further dose of it over the summer. I have to confess I had always been cynical about the so-called “power of the pen” or, in the modern world, the “power of the microphone”. But this latest incident from Boston proves otherwise. The main pity of it all is that Rangers and Celtic, for the meantime, will not now meet on American soil. I hope it happens one day soon, because it would be quite a spectacle. http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/sport/col...icle7121286.ece
  19. It woudn't be the first time they " accidentaly" released the supposed new strip to allow forgers to waste time and money making them , the press certainly bought it though
  20. Funny how Bougherra was missing from the title party
  21. wabash , any other poster and I might agree , however this guy has been spookily accurate far too many times and far too early with his info , only time will tell
  22. This has been posted by sccgers on FF , he has posted a high percentage of stuff that hass later proved correct , make of it what you will. Park and Co. finally set to move ? Andrew Ellis / Boyd / Adam / Danny wilson .Latest. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Managed to catch up with my source within the last hour or two and he had quite a bit to share with me - I can't expand on it any further and what I am about to post is the exact extent of my knowledge I can't say it's 100% but he has a very good track record, I am merely passing it on 1 - Douglas Park and co. - several meetings with lawyers this week and he has struck an agreement for a deal they believe can mark a takeover attempt. They have intimated to the club that they will make a formal approach early next week and a meeting with AJ has been set up between most parties 2 - Andrew Ellis - remains firmly in the driving seat, in constant dialogue with Murray and is negotiating the final points before making a formal offer. These points are minor and he has intimated to the club firmly he will be making an offer and he intends to buy the club (This was done last week - most likely causing Walters frustration this week) Now Murray favours completely Andrew Ellis and even with Park and co's move, it appears extremely likely that Ellis will still be the man who takes over the club. For Murray though this whole scenario is exactly as he wanted. The bank are happy as they will be getting there debt and Murray will get the £6m + (hopefully more from his point of view) he is looking for. Murray also has a big favour for Ellis due to his plans for redevelopment and Murray has been promised a slice of that pie. On time limits he says next week will be massive for apparent revelations either way. On backers for Ellis and Park names have been mentioned, nothing shocking and at this stage nothing confirmed either. Ellis does apparently have the cash to back this takeover, something which in recent week or so, I have encountered that no one seems to believe So next up - Danny Wilson - Will travel south as early as Monday to tie up a £2.6m move. Additional clauses have been agreed and the club have been left with no other choice but to accept this after Wilson made it crystal clear he would not sign the new deal and the club could not alter or increase it further. Expect to see Liverpool play Rangers at some point in a friendly Charlie Adam - A little bonus it seems, on top of the 20% sell on fee negotiated by monseur Bain, Gers also have a Promotion bonus which requires Blackpool to stump uo £600k further for Adam should they gain promotion. Something no body thought would happen Kris Boyd - It is common knowledge apparently that Boyd has signed an agreement with Eck and Birmingham should he leave Rangers. Not a Bosman but should he leave the Gers then Birmingham is where he will end up. He will not sign the current deal offered at the moment either. So we could still do a deal with him but it is extremely unlikely Novo, broadfoot and contract others - NONE look to be staying. Smith and Beasley has been told they won't be getting new deals. Novo has been offered a 1 year deal with an option which he also has refused, there is no wiggle room on this. Broadfoot is angling for more money and has also refused his new deal. (Should also add that Preston seem a likely direction for Smith) Only SDOW has been told Rangers want to keep him on a reduced wage, though he will be offered a new deal at same terms should the takeover finally be completed either way. At the moment Smith will have around £2m plus room for some cheap bosmans, maximum 2-3 in with it already looking like 6 are guaranteed to leave. Should Bougherra and others go he may get a small percentage of that cash. Hardly awe expiring news that Again, this is as much as discussed today - as I have said passing on what was said and it can be taken or left Cheers

    Danny Kops It

If Boyd had moved last year , there would have been no league win and therefore no c/l money , and you have to admit he has scored one or two this year to ensure we have the c/l money again .

Anyone watching Carragher this season will have seen he is on the slide and fast , this has possibly been his worst season by far , as for the other two it's the usual they must be great because they play in the EPL , nothing more than average at best, and definetly over priced
  25. Ambitionis a really massive one for me , you cannot always be the best but you can always strive to that aim . With our limited financial market we must make better use of our facillities at Murray park and more importantly get a proper scouting net work in place , I have been a supporter ever since I can remember and this has never been addressed , the scatter gun approach just doesn't work and you cannot continually rely on picking up the odd bargain from teams that we play in Europe who may be in a worse financial mess . Also marketing has been a massive dissappointment under Murray's reign , for a team of our stature to have the strips and merchandise we do is really appalling , no one will convince me that we shouldn't be with Adidas or Nike .
