On the last day of the EPL season this year , from all the games with a starting total of 220 players only 32 were English and their clubs are about to embark on yet another transfer window plunder into the foreign market with Spurs leading the way with a �£28 million double swoop for Palermo's Simon Kjaer and Edinson Cavani , Spurs have denied this bid but admitted talks had taken place . Unfortunately for us Wattie's biggest achilles heel is spotting a striker , I dont think any he has ever signed has lasted more than a season

This next season is shaping up to be one of our most important ever , not just because of that wee scrote in charge of the manky mob , but because of the C/L spot and the damage that we could inflict on them financially . Going into it with Lafferty as our main or one of our main goal threats fills me with dread to be honest -
Everyone of the 23 players that Germany have at the World Cup play inside Germany , how many English players are ,realistically good enough to adapt and hold down a starting place in a German team , not many , the Epl and to a lesser extent British football has never changed , tghe need to be able to hold onto the ball and pass and move has never ben more obvious . Maybe one of these days we might just catch on , until then we will just need to put up with the same old same old

The English are losing the plot , and what's worse after this world cup their cash rich clubs will plunder the foreign markets once more ,leaving even less spaces for their young English players , they will never learn . If you look at that squad they have the oldest squad by quite a bit , and there are not too many obvious candidates that are coming through , their main players have played their last world cup , bar Rooney

You cannot compare Boyd and McCoist ever , McCoist played in an era when he was surrounded by other excellent players , he had johnston and Hately for partners amongst others and was never short of chances , where as Boyd has no where near the quality around him not that I am comparing them as players , however even in big games just now we have no where near the team that McCoist played in . It's just another daft pub arguement that can never be agreed on. However anyone who thinks that our squad in it's current state can afford to lose Boyd's goals is kidding themselves on big time , we will seriously struggle with Miller and A N Other up front , especially if it is lafferty .

We all want that Frankie , but until Sir Smoke and Mirrors departs we are stuck with this lot , not one of them should be allowed to be any where near Rangers , I hate to say this but if you look at the manky mob everyone of them appears to be working for their clubs greater good , where as our lot just keep looking after themselves apparently . Fed up with the lot of them Just another wee thought , when has anyone actually said anything new in the last 10 years , all we get is were skint , we've no money , Cash crisis blah blah

Frankie , you will know more than anyone how personnal ambition comes before the good of the club , the night that MD and co produced their coup and managed to oust the existing board of the RST showed it is all about self and not the greater good . When I first acme on here one of the first people I argued long and hard with was Maineflyer about this very subject , however after attending RST agm's and seeing what is not happening f I can only agree with him . As much as I hate to say this the RST needs a total overhaul right from the very top and they need to get in a visible figurehead , even an ex-player such as Numan ( just from the top of my head ), otherwise they will only die a very slow death and schemes such as the excellent gersave will die with them.

Definetly , but what realy pisses me off big time are the " I told you so brigade" and I am not pointing the finger at any one on here , especially wabash , but posters on other sites who continualy posted about how Muir was great and we weren't really up for sale ,it's all a big con , have went and turned 180 degrees and now we are still for sale and the deal only stalled due to the funding not being in place "YET" , now is this coming from MUIR asthe majority if not all their previous stuff clearly was . Also why no announcement to the LSE , that was meant to happen as well , yet silence . More smoke and mirrors , or just wind and pish .

I will start this by stating I am not trying to be a smartarse ok , but when you state how you have sussed Minty , what exactly do you mean , as all you have ever posted is general assumptions that have at the moment been proved correct . So what exactly is your position on Murray and what is it you have sussed that everyone else has missed . Even the great Muir lovers on RM are starting to change their tunes , but I would accept the anti Murray supporters are definetly in the minority

As much as I have been prattling on about how small our squad is , we would be better served keeping what money we have until players are identified that will make a difference as opposed to buying for buying's sake

As someone who contributed to Gersave from the start I cannot believe this has bombed the way it has . I am not stupid enough to realise that their pricing was out at the beginning , however it never really took of and there was no real figurehead brought in to promote it , yet another great idea ruined and probably confined to the dustbin
