I dont see the players they are bringing in especially improving their squad to be honest , and the way they are touting wee aidsridden , it's pretty obvious they need to sell , even Hinkel has come out and talked about possibly having to move on . germany played a 4-4-2 all competition and didn't do too badly , at the end of the day it's all about the players ability to adapt to any specific moment / situation . And in Scotland players like those are few and far between

Most teams in the world cup have played 4-3-3 , which adapts to 4-5-1 when they lose the ball and are defending , which is great when you have technically proficient players to play that way , the majority of our young players are brought up on 4-4-2 , so you cannot be too hard on them . Spain has 750 class A coaches ( that's the top coaches) and 640 of those teach kids starting at 5 , their class c coaches teach adults who are technically proficient by that stage . By comparison England has less than 250 Class A coaches and they all teach adults , the class C coaches teach the kids , I dont have figures for Scotland but my guess would be that we follow the English model , is it any surpirise we are rubbish .

If we get money and I mean decent money for either or both , then I would hope we would be looking at better than Goncalves to be honest , if this is where we are at , it's going to be a long hard season

At the end of the day , these young players continually get lured by the promise of money beyond their wildest dreams , and also by the pressure heaped on them by agents whose prime focus is milking them of as much money as possible in as short a time period . The fact that what they could recieve in wages at Rangers is still beyond the dreams of the majority of us mere mortals doesn't seem to compute , neither does the fact that they can play regularily and also do something that all players should want from their careers WIN trophies . History has shown in recent times a number of players who could have stayed at clubs and been legends , but they chose to take the money . Some will say who can blame them , we would all do the same , however at the end of the day how much money is enough , when compared to the glory of being not only wealthy beyond your dreams but also remembered as a winner , a champion , a true legend .
