There was a thread on another site about getting the patients at Erskine a wee dram on Xmas day , just an idea

Where has Steve D gone , need to get the spark back

There are far too many precedents been set all over Europe where teams fans behave far worse than ours , whether through actions or songs , jesus christ UEFA would have a thromby at the though of having to dish out bans . As Maineflyer says bring it on , for a start you could get the whole Scottish league stopped for months

If you look at out the team and bench then surely you must agree that even though we played well we were playing well above ourselves , we were down to the bare bones , in fact we still are down to the bare bones , playing the way we do is all about the results and the financial rewards they bring it's not about trying to do anything else , surely we should be a bit better than that .I do realise fully the financial position we are in and accept that for the time being this is what we are faced with but the future must hold something better .

Calscot I am in no way decrying your points , however in my opinion these are the least we should be aiming at , we have resources way ahead of all bar septic , a team who have been horsed out of two european competitions already , so domestically we should be aiming high . As for Europe yes compared to last year we have done well , however it is by a miracle we are third and considering our squad you have to admit we have been mighty lucky we have achieved what we already have . This is my point our squad is so threadbare that in some games we haven't been able to fill our bench , we desperately need new players yet the thought of even resigning Miller is being seen as something to rejoice about , we are only ever one day away from another disaster , might sound a bit negative to you but it's reality to me

I think it just shows how low our actual aspirations have fallen when this season can be described as "great" , what we are actually doing is surviving , every £££££ that we manage to wring from europe whilst avoiding losing points in the league is a bonus , but at best we are treading water .

It also makes a bit of a mockery of Wattie's statement on no money being released in January , there must be scope for some investment this transfer window. From the other Europa league thread .Totally agree , though one round is worth a decent amount of money through UEFA bonuses , ticketing and the new group tv deal which is based on the C/L model we still do not have the required squad necesary to compete , we cannot expect the manky mob to continue to be as bad ..... Below is the UEFA guidelines on the Europa league money for this season , note TV and ticketing are not included. The 48 clubs embarking on UEFA Europa League group stage campaigns this week will receive increased prize money compared with the rewards on offer last season, when the rebranded competition began life as the successor to the UEFA Cup. Each team taking part this term will collect a €640,000 participation bonus together with a match bonus of €60,000 for every match played in the group stage. They can add to this total minimum amount of €1m through a series of performance-related rewards, starting with €140,000 per win and €70,000 per draw in their group games. By way of example, if a side wins all six of their group fixtures they will earn a total of €1.84m from the competition by Christmas. Progress beyond that point will trigger further bonus payments worth: €200,000 for reaching the round of 32, €300,000 for the round of 16, €400,000 for the quarter-finals and €700,000 for the semi-finals. The prize money for the clubs that go all the way to the final will be €3m for the eventual winner and €2m for the runner-up at the Dublin Arena on 18 May 2011. Participating teams will also be entitled to a variable amount depending on the commercial value of their national media rights, their position in their national championship last season, and their performance during this UEFA Europa League campaign. A side could pick up, at best, €6.44m not counting the market pool share.

No disrespect but here we go again , this week it's dutch papers , last week it was italian , throw in Tonge from Stoke and Wattie's usual declaration of no money in January coupled with playing complete novices against the Turks and your left with only reasonable conclusion........here we go again , complete mind F**K

Dont see many that are better than Man Utd or Valencia , we have not been humiliated at any point this campaign so why worry , I have watched quite alot of the Europa league this year and by and large it has been awful
-
surely we must be above that Bluedell , the crowds were well up for the c/l games , we have doubled our prize money total from last year to £1.6 million ,one more round in the Europa league is worth nearly £2million from tv and gate reciepts . If after making alll that money we are still only posting small profits , it just shows how deep are problems lie , nearly £20 million from Europe and only a £5million profit , god help Whyte if he takes us on

So in essence we could have a £10 million transfer pot next year , if we make a £5 million profit . Also not wanting to count my chickens but even with one Europa game we must be heading for a very decent profit this year .

Just a quick thought , if Whyte agrees the deal at today's debt ,and we agree for arguements sake that it is around £27 million , and we then produce financial figures the same as last year for arguements sake who gets the profit , or put another way if it transpires that the debt is reduced to say £22 million next summer where does the profit go .......

http://menmedia.co.uk/manchestereveningnews/news/business/s/1387920_jjb_sports_shares_slump_after_debt_warning The trading crisis at JJB Sports deepened today as the Wigan-based retailer warned it was continuing to underperform, with freezing weather expected to hit revenues even further. The group, which last year stayed afloat by selling its fitness club chain and negotiating a restructuring deal with landlords, also warned it was likely to breach the conditions of a £25m Bank of Scotland loan in January. JJB said that conditions had "remained extremely challenging" since its last update three weeks ago and, with just two months of Christmas and New Year trading remaining, the full-year outlook remained uncertain. A major promotional drive through its 250 stores had failed to deliver results and JJB is now exploring further restructuring options and considering alternative sources of finance. Mark Photiades, an analyst with Singer Capital, said that JJB may be forced to turn to shareholders in a further fundraising. JJB, which issued a profit warning last month, did strike one positive note by reporting an encouraging performance in six recently refitted stores, with sales 11 per cent above the company average during November. JJB shares slumped more than 15 per cent in the wake of the trading update. Kate Calvert, retail analyst at Seymour Pierce Research, said the broker maintained its "sell" recommendation due to JJB's difficult financial position as rival SportsDirect heaps pressure on the company by increasing promotional activity.
-
With JJB yet again making the financial pages for the wrong reasons , do any of our Financial whizz kids know what our position would be regarding our rights to our merchandise , ie would JJb be deemed to be in breach of contract and the remaining amount of the initial £18 million 10 year deal which is brought down at £1.8 million per year , would that be ours or returned , would we be free out of necessity to then negotiate a new deal with another retailer as I cannot see us starting our retail operation's all over again .

He is on £20,00 a week with his own club , at present Killie are only paying him £1,000 with his club picking up the rest , add in a transfer fee and it's a no go Erimenko

Stewart Regan was ââ?¬Å?asked to applyââ?¬Â for his SFA job
rbr replied to boss's topic in Rangers Chat
It has been very apparent ever since Septic started down this road that they knew what the outcome would be , or at least were getting pointers about how to proceed , the absolute silence coming out of Hampden is deafening , but will the actual truth ever come out I doubt that very much . -
If this was properly run , then definetly ,even just to get a different opinion out into the media and get the issue's properly debated , at the moment this continual drip drip is killing us

Can he play center half , just out of interest
