Seemingly they stated that the Ref has blown his whistle to start the minutes silence before they got out the tunnel , and they didn't want to walk out half way through , hate to say this but is seem's a reasonable enough excuse if that's what happened

cant beat a bit of over reacting eh , we have the smallest squad inliving memory , yes it was poor , yes it was dire , however this is where we are and until Minty and Lloyd's go this is our lot . Now if you think that having someone else in charge just now would make it better you are deluding yourselves or on drugs , away and give your selves a shake for god's sake , the season has a long way to go and I for one am glad that Wattie is in charge

The Vanguard Bears have already taken this up with the author , who has admitted it is an almighty cock up and a full apology will be in the paper tomorrow . Yet again VB at their best -
Dont forget there is a near full card today , and one 3pm kick off

This top line figure is always brought up , I myself have been very apt at using it , however like everything else it will come down to pure profit at the end of the year , there are obviously major problems with LLoyd's , that is plain to see to anyone , why if we have this term loan they're behaving in the manner they are is very very strange. However we desperately need strengthened that is also bloody obvious , just maybe not to LLoyds

As we all approach tomorrow , where much drinking , eating and joy being shared around ( I hope) , I just though I would take the opportunity to wish everyone on here the very best for tomorrow and may all your wishes come true , and everyone has a fantastic day . Now not everyone on Gersnet has been good , infact some have been very naughty , grumpy and even rude so Santa wont be bringing you all your presents ,I hope you take the time to think about this as you sit down to your plate of gruel and luke warm beer . We are all also approaching the time to remember absent friends , so if I dont get the chance before it arrives , here's to you and yours and may next year bring you health and happiness , god bless all .

Danny we did indeed bring in players , but we lost Thomson , Boyd and Wilso , Novo also , we are neutral this year transfer wise if Wilson keeps goping the way he is , but squad wise we are desperately near the bone , omly the weather ant the manky mobs abysmal form has saved us imho

Sorry Brahim I totally disagree , 5000 , out of how many exactly , the survey was not exactly indepth and how many smaller teams fans took part , you will disagree and I accept that but , if this lot get any influence then we will be on a very slippery slope , I mean what next play off's for the championship . We have an SPL board for a very good reason , you may not like it , but the thought of amateurs having an even bigger say fills me with dread , I mean do you listen to the football phone in,s

I absolutely hate these business type sayings but in this case I make an exception , Fail to prepare is preparing to fail , and that's what we are doing , always the defeatest option
-
Frankie I really hope your correct , for example the Europa league money , there is no way in God's earth that this was budgeted for , surely even the most hard bitten business bank manager can see the sense in giving the club ecvery chance of progression and bringing in even more money . My worst fear is the great big elephant in the room that is MIH , are we, as some suggest , so interlinked with them that this whole scenario is a sham , is this why the due dilligence of Whyte is taking so long , the fact there has been not even a peep recently is very very strange to say the least , especially since it was Murray that leaked the story in the first place

I realise I am not the most financially astute and usually bow down to Bluedell and his fellow financial wizards for enlightenment , but how in the hell are we not able to bring anyone in , in January , just what exactly have we signed up to with Lloyds , what exactly are the constraints that are binding us to LLoyds . If this was any other business they would be bringing in their bank manager and laying down the law or moving , we are after all making a profit , we are after all trading , unless there is something we are being told, just like the so called 20 year term loan that seems to have been thrown out the window with everything else . One more question whilst I am on this rant , do LLoyds actually want to see us progressing and making more profit .....or what exactly is their angle ....or is it Walter simply playing mind games again ........

game now off

I have no problem with promotion / relegation , the only problem is if it goes to a 16 who are you left with to promote , Morton ,cowdenbeath , stirling , within one season you have devalued the Scottish game down to the level of the conference down south , would love to see Sky screen a Cowdenbeath v Hamilton game midwek in February. Absolute Madness we have far too many teams , but not enough top teams , christ Sky are already showing games with stadiums barely half full . As for Europe at the moment Rangers alone are responsible for over 57% of Scotland's coefficient points , we have suffered too long with cup losers getting into europe
-
My biggest problem with a bigger league is what happened before , too many teams end up with nothing to play for , teams from approx 5th to 13th in a 16 end up playing meaningless games , we have been here before . To get proper competition we need meaningful games
-
Brilliant guy , one of lifes good guys , never takes himself too seriously
-
Brahim the survey asked heehaw if is the one at the start of this , we donot have 16 teams and where would you make up the drop in income , becausr season tickets would need to fall , you cant keep taking money out the game , playoffs would bring supporters back , sky have already said they would want them , you need to make the competition better not worse . Sorry if I was harsh on the wee bloke but that was the impression I got from his inyerview , he wanted a say desperately , who is he anyway and how was he elected to speak on my behalf
-
TOTTI we reached a UEFA cup final with these rubbish players , any team if properly organised can flourish , the days of bringing big players on massive wages and telling them to get on with it are long gone. Nearly every team in the EPl are in massieve debt , yes they may be able to pay it just now but this cannot continue indefinetly , no new owner will throw money around like confetti
-
The wee arsehole from this organisation was on radio Scotland tonight , after 5 minutes listening to him anything this mob have to say is irrelevant to me , he would reduce us to the level of the juniors just to get a say , there are far too many tails wagging a very small dog . 10 team spl , 10 team spl2 , bottom team demoted , top of spl 2 promoted , 2nd bottom of spl and 2nd 3rd and 4th from spl 2 go into a play off ,games played at neutral grounds all gate and tv money split evenly amongst all teams of both leagues . There are far too many small teams dividing far too small a population , a bit like opening a costa coffee on every street corner , basic cannabalisation. What we need is the two league getting better, put spl reserves down into regional leagues below the spl 2 and I am sorry to say let the rest find their own level
-
Because it's the celtic way , unless of course they are leading

Odds have got to be against this going ahead , heavy snow for tomorrow and freezing temperatures for Monday and Tuesday , Liewell will be doing a heatwave dance as we speak .......

SPL may consider extended season due to fixture pile-up Blair faces an arduous task to reschedule numerous SPL games Scottish Premier League secretary Iain Blair says continued disruption to fixtures may force the SPL to consider extending the season. Four of Saturday's SPL games were called off due to weather-related problems, adding to several postponements earlier in December. "It's not something we're looking at this point in time," said Blair. "But if there's severe congestion and no other alternatives then it's something we have done once before." Blair is hopeful of rescheduling the outstanding fixtures but admits further cancellations would put the league in difficulty. "It (extending the season) is not the first port of call in terms of resolving the problems," said Blair. "We would see to what extent we can actually get the fixtures played. "The unknown at this point is progress in terms of the Scottish Cup for all the Premier clubs, because they only come in in January, and obviously we've still got Rangers in Europe and hopefully they will continue to be in Europe for some time. "What actually happens is that the opportunity to slot games in reduces and there does come a point at which you think, 'well the only way we can do this is by extending the season'. "But before we get to that stage, we would consider things such as having four games in eight days, which we try and avoid doing. We had a situation where Dunfermline had to play four games in a week, I know it happened to Rangers in 2008 and it has happened on one or two other occasions. It's a difficult situation, only a fool would say that it wasn't Iain Blair "I certainly don't remember quite so much congestion by this stage in the season previously. "There is still some flexibility in the calendar in terms of getting matches played midweek. We can schedule matches up against the Champions League and the Europa League. It's not something we like to do but that is a possibility. "There is a real difficulty in terms of those matches that are scheduled in that way, we're simply not allowed by Uefa for those to be broadcast live so there are issues then about talking to the broadcasters about the best way to resolve the whole situation. "It's a difficult situation, only a fool would say that it wasn't but if we were to get the matches played reasonably regularly from now on then I think we can cope with it." One further complication to the rescheduling process concerns games that were due to be broadcast live on either Sky Sports or ESPN. "We certainly talk to the broadcasters when a televised game is postponed," said Blair. "Nine times out of 10, the broadcaster selected the game because it's a game they want to cover and they will follow the game. "Very occasionally, there is simply a situation which doesn't allow that to happen, perhaps because we need the game to be played on a particular date and the broadcaster simply cannot cover for whatever reason on that date. Hamilton's match with Celtic was called off on Saturday morning Two of Saturday's postponements, Rangers v St Mirren and Hamilton v Celtic, fell victim to problems relating to burst pipes. "It's very disappointing and obviously the clubs are working to ensure that they don't lose games," said Blair. "Believe me, neither Hamilton nor Rangers would in any way have wished for these games not to take place. "But we have had some very extreme weather over the last two or three weeks and that's what's caught folk out and presented the problem. "I certainly wouldn't like to have been the maintenance manager at Ibrox to tell Walter Smith that he wasn't going to be able to get his game on because I know that he has expressed concerns about fixture congestion relatively recently. "At Hamilton, my understanding is that there was a burst pipe of some description, which was in close proximity to some electrical installation and the electrical installation was part of the undersoil heating system. "So there seems to have been concerns about the electrical system because of a burst locally. I don't think the burst was actually in the undersoil heating. As we do in any of these cases where something unexpected happens relatively close to the game, we will investigate the situation."
