Remember the English were banned from Europe and sky was but a chairman's wet dream back then

The only time Murray ever emerges from his bunker or Chateau is when presonnal critiscism is being flung his way , at the moment everything is peachy in his world , the banks are getting all the stick , the ficticious takeover is keeping the masses amused , and he's sipping on a nice wee Chardonnay , until that changes and a few Rottweiller's get their teeth into him nothing will change

Calscot the Hamilton goal , you see this type every week in leagues all over Europe , this stupid phase 1 and phase 2 of play is driving everyone nuts , there is no conspiracy just bad rules -
That's the thing just now Frankie , there is possibly no single player who would be classed as untouchable in this present squad , if you did a fans poll I am sure that just about every player would be up for sale if the money was available to strengthen the team . Macgregor - Alexander is a good back up Bougherra - poor season so far IMHO , could be replaced Weir - last season Whittaker - good utility player but doesn't hold down any one position -not his fault though more down to squad requirements/lack of depth Papac - solid and reliable but getting on a bit Davis - not as good as last season , no solid partner beside him to build on , keeps getting shifted about McCulloch - dependable , nothing showy Edu - good prospect , slightly injury prone Lafferty - depends which one turns up to be honest Naismith -best of this season and possibly the only one I wouldnt want sold Jelavic - too early to say .good start to the season Miller - well he,s offski Weiss - bit lightweight and he,s away at the end of the season Broadfoot - dependable but injury prone Webster - waste of a salary IMHO Beattie - who knows , injury prone All the kids - really to early to say , need to give them time And that's that unless I have forgotten somebody , it's a sign of how well we have done and how badly septic are that we are potentially 4 points clear , we have the basis of a good solid team who work hard for each other without being overly flashy , they have I would submit actually over achieved this season Europe wise but as I was trying to make the point if any of them were sold and the money reinvested I dont think there would be too many complaints

To be honest I like most was feeling pretty down after the game on the 2nd but the performance more than anything against Killie really picked me up , the hunger , drive and obvious will to win was back big time , just need to keep it going . Also they have a hell of a schedule coming up

That's one of those moment's that gets better by the second , his interview with wee ChicBum is amazing , he is getting more and more bitter by the day , new twist in his touchline ban , Radio Snyde are backing him to reregister as a player to get around it , cant beat a neutral stand point eh ...

you do realise this will go to the last hour of the last day of the transfer window , its the Rangers way
-
Also as the debt goes down , interest payements must also fall , therefore we may not be that far off break even if the worst happens and it is the Europa league , though the ticketing would need to be pretty good to get decent attendances
-
It would be interesting to find out exactly how much we are short if no C/L money , next season see'sthe begining of UEFA changing the Europa league into a smaller version of the C/L with TV money being pooled etc , in fact the round with Sporting Lisbon will be the first time they have done this . The prize money is also going up and given we are guarenteed 3 home matches and will also be seeded , hope must be high that we can ( this is worst case scenario for this season ) at least qualify as one of the best 2 . Now early figures would work out at approx £7 million possibly £8 million which is almost half the C/l money but is still serious dough.... question is would that be enough to stop a loss occuring
-
I believe there is a 50/50 split on these games between the Old Firm , I could be wrong though , so given tickets will be approx £35 plus ,Tv . catering etc that's easily another £1million that wouldn't have been budgeted for

Not going to bother argueing about this anymore , this image some of our own support have , this self loathing does my nut right in , every player is rubbish , every decision a manager makes or formation is wrong , quite how this bunch of no good misfits have managed to win the amount of games and trophies whilst being under the most severe pressure is beyond me , but hey Charlie Adam is only great now because he left us aye right , just think back to his european performances and goals .....but then it will all be Walter's fault because it can never be our own

Michel Platini has warned that even Europe's biggest clubs will have to "face the music" if they do not comply with UEFA's new financial fair play rules. UEFA's latest figures show that financial problems affecting European clubs are getting worse, with spending on player wages up almost 10% - and increasing at a faster rate than income. Under their new rules, clubs will face possible bans from European competition from the 2014/15 season if they spend more than they earn in the three years before. Manchester City's recent £121m losses mean they are the club in England facing the greatest difficulty to abide by the rules - even though owners are also allowed to inject £12million a year (15m euro) into their club. Leading Italian clubs also face problems but UEFA president Platini said whatever their stature, the European governing body would not hesitate to take action. Platini, speaking at UEFA's headquarters in Nyon, Switzerland, said: "If a club doesn't fall in line and follow the same rules as everyone else then it will be time to face the music. "Certainly it is not something we want to see. "Our objective is not to put clubs into financial difficulty. Financial fair play is to help them escape from this devilish spiral and have a viable economic strategy in the long term. "This is not a witch-hunt, this is so they no longer continue blindly and mindlessly." Manchester City have already sent officials to meet UEFA about complying with the financial rules. Andrea Traverso, UEFA's head of licensing, said: "We are in talks with the club - they are aware of the rules and they probably have a strategy to raise their income. "They have been to see us and they are confident that they can manage this challenge." Platini added: "Last year in Abu Dhabi I met up with the owner of Manchester City and he promised they would live with the rules and regulations." The European Clubs' Association (ECA) has thrown their weight behind the new rules. ECA chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge said: "It's time to step on the brake and bring a bit of rationality to football."

Considering the size of our squad it aint exactly rocket science and there is no way in hell Pana pay double what we pay , as a squad that is . There are teams I mentioned who were put together for a fraction and pay a fraction of what we pay , never mind one

No he wasn't mate , I always base this ,and its only a personal thing,, on performances in Europe and Adam was not only excellent on assist's , general play but also goals , his problem was constantly being played out of position to accomodate others

Great news that we get a game played and also Boughie doesn't miss the hearts game

The point I was making is that we are always being labelled mugs by our own support , but we have done extremely well out of the epl , in fact these very transfers have more than kept us alive, another case in point is Charlie Adam , the vast majority would have gladly driven him anywhere yet the same ones are now bemoaning the fact we didn't have a sell on clause , everyione is clever after the fact

If we are clueless mugs , what does that make Tottenham for paying £9million for Hutton , or Villa over £7million for Cuellar

90mins , there are more serious points in your post than have been put forward by the SPl , managers , Chairman etc well done on a well thought out post , a lot of what you say could work , but you need one hell of a lot of goodwill which is in very scarce amounts these days

Craig I posted before , at the world cup the Spanish system was being discussed , they have over 600 class A coaches who all coach kids under 8 I think it was , England by comparison had approx 90 who all coached adults , the system we use in the UK is so outdated , I have since tried to find out how many we have , no one seems to know

So lets get this straight , your seriously telling us that the teams I mentioned above have wage bills over £50 million , I haven't laughed so much in ages mate , seriously you need a wee lie down
