The vast majority of 1st div players are all working outside football in full time work , teachers , plumbers , brickiets etc etc , to actually believe that they should give up their jobs in this economy to play possibly 1 maybe 2 years for us on £1 000 a week was never an option IMHO

very possibly , but what i,m trying to get to the bottom of , is how many people/players the £7 million covers , we are quoted as paying £7,000 to certain players , others are on more IE Alexander , McCulloch etc , others will be less , however if you use the £7000 as an average , that only gets you 19 players . This is no excuse fort the shite we have been playing before anyone thinks it is

Have to agree with GA , there is not another team in Scotland bar septic who could do what we are about to do , they dont have either the support or market appeal to gain sponsorship etc to help fund a return to what ever league the top is in a year or so , even Hearts will struggle to return .

The biggest worry will be getting another Sinclair appointment to replace him

Further to this , why is the Dunfermline situation being almost ignored as if it is of no consequence to anything , never mind Hearts , there is a full scale media blackout on anything that might derail this reconstruction/stitch up

Sorry GS but in my experience with players they basically accept what ever the agents tell them , if you think that your average players have the intelligence to deal with complex contractual matters your being very kind to the players and very disrespectful to the agents

To be fair that wasn't exactly how it was put , the money we received was brokered in an agreement with Davis,s agent and the club , I don't believe for one second that the player had anything to do with it
