your creating a story out of nothing there cammy. i think the main problem was the amount of notice there was for the game. we had a months notice a least for all the other games we are playing but only two for the bolton match. But i do agree that the gmp crapped their pants a bit at the thought of us lot comming down as well. Its a real pity this game was cancelled as i was well up for it but even my local Rangers supporters club wouldnt put a bus on as the never had enough notice either.

the players were allowed two glasses of wine each on the flight. Some of them dont drink and others didnt want any, so nando decided to clear the left overs. when they were done he requested more from the hostess who refused to give him anymore. this where the situation escalated. spoke with my mate again this morning to verify what he had told me. There was no porn involved at any stage of the incident but if you want to believe what you read in the sun.........

Im taking my son to his first ever Rangers game and his ticket was only 7 quid. so its pretty good value for money for me.

Yeah they totally out classed us home and away and i had the misfortune to witness both legs. Beats the arsenal game by a mile as it was just a friendly.

this info came from a player frankie. i certainly cannot see the club releasing this to the media.

Seems that Mr Ricksen done a lot more than through water over a stewardess. the big man was drunk on the plane and started throwing drink round everyone. He was then told to behave himself by PLG who was then told to "shove his club up his arse". He then went on and told the players what he thought of them as well. This info came from my Ibrox mole who has been very reliable in the past. If (and i certainly think it is) this info is true then Ricksen is up shit creek without a paddle.

nice to read a bit of constuctive journalism for a change. But I hope that paul Leguens arrival isnt seen as a token gesture to combat sectarianism. He is here purely on merit in my eyes and as the artice said race creed or colour do not come into question when playing in a blue jersey. Ps i hope speirs has a good read of this article and takes note of how it is written. No mud slinging or slanderous remarks to outrage anyone, a positive and well balanced piece by the writer who has obviously taken time out to research the subject before taking his pen out of the inkwell.

Ive flicked through the history books a few times but have never came across this. Good stuff.

dont know what game you were watching jonc. sweden had two off the bar, one kicked off the line and were denied a penalty! England have rode lady luck all week and were absolutely wetting them selves in case they got Germany. My moneys on ecuador for the next game. 2-1

now that "The Billy Boys" has been banned I wonder just how politically correct the authorites will be when it comes to singing other songs that are of a deflametory nature. Take for instance the chant : "Whos the bastard in the black" or "who ate all the pies". Two pretty well known chants in the football world but descriminate none the less. My point is if your going to ban one song you have to ban them all in every way shape or form if you are going to keep a level playing field for all. In my eyes the football authorities have created a monster by banning the "billy boys" as it sets a precident for everyone else as well. I will watch with interest next season to see how far the authorities go in cleaning up our game but i fear they will only be looking for a scapegoat to set an example to others as Uefa did with us earlier and again its our head on the chopping block.
-
As long as we sing it there will be individuals who will continue to bastardise the lyrics. there is no other choice than to ban it.
-
the bottom line here is that our fans do sing songs of a discriminate nature and it was only a matter of time before someone threatened to pull the rug from our feet. we cannot complain as certain sections of our support are guilty. I certainly dont expect the problem to dissapear over night and i will be very interested to see what actions the authorities take should a small band , say 20 supporters out of the 50,000 start to sing Hullo Hullo. Im also concerned about the legality of imposing fines or docking points on the club for individuals actions at Ibrox. If the club are seen to be doing everything they actively can to eliminate sectarianism from ibrox and individuals still continue to partake in certain songs at what point do Rangers football club cease to be responsible for them? A big can of worms has been opened in my eyes and Uefas knee-jerk reactions will only cause more problems than the originally intended to solve. The shit will hit the fan next season and we will be the whipping boys as our name is firmly lodged at the top of the list of targets. All we can do is not to sing certain songs and encourage and hope others do the same, which im afraid to say is highly unlikely.

that is correct. There is also an objection to kids tops advertising alchohol aswell. Though it isnt law at the moment there is enough support growing for it to be banned so expect that in a season or two.

he should know already if he looked in the mirror this morning

he made enough blunders in my eyes to warrant the heave ho. Some may laugh though when i suggest graeme smith as his replacement. I reckon he is a great keeper with a lot of potential and shouldnt have been allowed to leave when he did. Another bobo from our departed manager.
