  1. I get that entirely mate, and I think I am seeing quite a split down the lines of those fans who still travel to away games, go on supporters buses to away games etc, being less in favour of something like this, for fiarly selfish reaosns like myself! For a home games only supporter, I can see the attraction of playing the bigger English teams, and the away games dont affect this as they dont go to them so watching a game from livingston or Birmingham is the same thing. But I see no more attraction playing Villa, or Southampton, or West Brom at Ibrox than Hamilton, Livvy etc. These may be more exciting for a year or two, and certainly would bring bigger away supports than the Scottish clubs, but these games are no less mundane affairs than the current crop of fixtures IMO. A good discussion point, but I cannot see it happening in my lifetime no matter what we think. This recent ESL debacle has shown where the big English clubs are looking, and it is not north!
  2. Not for me either. We are a Scottish club that belongs in the Scottish league. While I would love it to be more competitive, less corrupt, less samey, it is where we belong. A freezing cold winters night at Livingston is far more appealing than a freezing cold winters night at Southampton, purely from a travelling fans perspective.
  3. I will of course be renewing, but still disgusted at being sold a st this time last year that I got absolutely no value from. I know the club need the money, and it looks more promising that we will get to sit in our overpriced seats next season (probably not at full capacity for many months yet) but it still really annoys me that our club sold us something they couldn’t deliver, with as much emotional blackmail as we could handle. I am fully aware fans across the country got the same treatment, and if we hadn’t paid we couldn’t have survived this season with the squad that won us the title, but I can’t help feeling robbed at the way it was done.
  4. It was an end of season dead rubber, and it played out that way. Very similar to the celtic (league) and hibs games. We do enough not to lose to maintain our unbeaten league record, but are very flat for most of the game, with some flashes of our old selves in wee spells throughout the game. It has been ever thus. In our 9IAR campaign, we had a few seasons where the league was wrapped up early and some really poor games come along to finish. 1994 was a case in point. From memory a 15 point lead (2 points a win I think as well?) meant we had the league wrapped up quick style, and we had a number of dead rubbers before the Scottish Cup Final against a bang average Dundee United who had never won the cup up until then, and we were going to back to back trebles. Our weeks of dead rubber performances took its toll and we didnt show up for the final and lost. That one hurt enormously. I can only hope that we do not suffer the same consequences in 2021.
  5. Collum knew a red card would see Turnbull, one of the bheasts better players, would miss the last OF game, so there was no chance of that, just like there was no chance of McGregor seeing red for hauling down Hayes at edge of the box when clean through (he waved play on but replays show he clearly got hold of an arm to stop him).
  6. Pretty sure we got to 100 points in a previous season too?
  7. My my my beautiful Sunday! Another comfortable victory over the greatest team to ever play the game, and it’s a long overdue trophy less season for the establishment club and the hordes of horrors in the mhedia and elsewhere who follow them. They truly thought this outcome where they win nothing, not even a single OF game, and we are miles ahead of them would never come. They thought they had killed us off, that their financial and political superiority gave them such a big advantage over us that it would take us a generation to challenge them again, that “the 10” was a foregone conclusion. Well I am loving how the reality has really hurt them, and how proud I am that we have a team who are clearly better than them in all departments on and off the pitch (apart from in the mhedia, governing bodies & politics) and how we can beat them with ease. After the last decade of hurt, thrashings, trebles, Ashley and Pedro, we really need to soak up these victories in all their glory. The only regret is having to watch it from home and not being able to be inside the stadium followed by hours of chat in the pub with fellow bears. While we didn’t go on and thrash them in the second half like I would have wanted to, it was a controlled performance and even when Madden got yet another big call wrong (perfectly honestly as usual of course), McGregor stepped up to deny them a way back, and it was cruise control after that. McGregor Patterson, Davis Aribo, Kent all had very good games and that was enough to beat the greatest team ever. How far we have come!
  8. A massive game today and while our season will still be a successful one if somehow we mess today up, we really must be winning games like this, even more so given the opponent, and also the way we were eliminated from the league cup. I would hope the inane ramblings of Kennedy, backed up by their useful idiots in the mhedia, will be pinned front and centre of the dressing room as a final reminder before we take the field of what we still have to prove, and ensure we not only want to beat them, but totally smash them. My nagging doubts, (which always come to the fore before an OF match) are that we have certainly not hit the heights of our form since getting over the line several weeks ago, that we only seem to hit our groove when we play twice a week, and it may be that the bheasts want this more to salvage something from a disastrous season. Being positive, if we play at the tempo we can, get our pressing high and fast, pass and move in the forward areas, we will be far too good for a very poor back line that they have. If we can get good deliveries from set pieces into good areas, we know we can create goal scoring chances as we have done in previous OF games this season. If our key players, Kent, Morelos, Davis all have good games, we usually win. I don’t know that I have really really wanted to win an OF game more than this one in recent years, (the LC final last year is comparable) so let’s do this Rangers, let’s just feckin do this.
  9. Absolutely right Rab, I think we must sell 2 top players this summer. One to balance the books on this season, and one to raise funds for investment for next season. £20M minimum for any of our top players like Morelos, Kent, Barasic, Tav, Helander, Kamara.
  10. £15M? Are they only wanting him on loan?
  11. Perhaps it will be as part of the transfer of Borna Barasic to Arsenal for £30M. After all they paid (reportedly) £25M for a total crock who has never played 10 games in a row without injury. Make that £35M, they are total mugs.
  12. On further research I see they had beaten us 2-0, 3-0 in the previous 2 meetings, the latter being just 2 weeks before the final. Strangely, I can’t remember those games but I remember the cup final and I remember who won the title!
  13. I assume UEFA thought they were handing him a sterner punishment (no laughing at the back) by carrying over the punishment into the international arena, therefore forcing him to miss out on what would be a huge highlight of his playing career. I wouldn't be surprised if he is allowed to reduce his ban by the number of games his country play this summer, even though he wasn't selected for them. "UEFA Love Racists" should be their new motto.
  14. Scenes, absolute scenes at the end. A beautiful sight. I was wondering what happened to Broonie? I only started watching from about the hour mark, and hadn’t seen his horrible snarling face, but here he is leading his losers up for losers medals and it looks like he was subbed early in the game. Shame.
  15. Izaguerre takes out Weiss at halfway line in injury time at the end of ET with the forever on loan Fraser Forster still up in our box from the previous corner, even Thomson can’t avoid a red card for Izaguerre, and Billy Dodds says he shouldn’t have sent him off. It is no wonder he has had a long career with BBC Scotland.
  16. Mulgrew, already booked, completely takes out Diouf who skipped by him with ease with the ref 2 yards away. The ref blows, the commentator says Mulgrew must be off this time, but the bold cheat books Diouf for diving instead.
  17. Mulgrew takes out Jelavic on edge of 18 yard line dead centre after a counter attack with no other players anywhere near them, and even the commentator says Mulgrew must go, but no, it’s a yellow from Thomson. Billy Dodds tries to say that is correct because Jelavic is moving away from goal. He literally moved a few inches to the side, still inside the D. When you also remember the same referees gusto to issue red cards in the Pigeon cup final, you can come to no other conclusion apart from he’s a cheat who hates our club.
  18. I see Premier Sports have been showing a full match replay of the OF cup final, which was originally broadcast on BBC Scotland, so it is their comms and analysis team. You would be forgiven for thinking they had dubbed the comms on this year, they are so utterly biased in favour of the bheasts. Now if memory serves me right we had won the last 2 titles on the spin , so why is the baseline opinion that us winning this would be a shock? Jelavic’s winner has just went in (spoiler alert!) and they are devastated. The commentator has just said that Celtic are going for the treble, and sit 2 points ahead of Rangers who have a game in hand. Now forgive me but would that not make us favourites with only a handful of games left? A few things I have seen that I had forgotten about; Jelavic was a fantastic player Boughera was a total mental case That boy Steve Davis can play football all right! Sasa Papac really was Mr Consistency. There is definitely no way Celtic got £5M for Ki, he is pish! Craig Thomson was a cheating corrupt piece of filth Billy Dodds has still never said anything positive about us.
  19. Barker has had ample opportunities and has had one game which came close to Rangers standard, which was the exception and not the rule. Seems to have found his level in the 3rd tier of the English pyramid which seems about right to me. Would be utterly amazed if we see him in our colours again. Was definitely worth a look when we signed him, he certainly has some talent, just not enough for us I feel. I wish him well. As others have said, we have plenty of options in his position and they are all better than him.
  20. Looks like the racist scumbag will serve no more of his ban this season. I didn’t think Slavia were that good, certainly not any better than Antwerp or Benfica or Liege, and it’s no surprise that they go no further in the competition and are getting thrashed by an utterly gash Arsenal team who I think we would have beaten with something to spare. I feel we really missed a big opportunity this season in the Europa, although I’m obviously delighted with how our season has gone overall (league cup disaster aside).
  21. Fantastic video, and I can’t wait until we can create more footage like that again, but that song is absolute garbage. Never been a fan of that particular song, and the new version somehow manages to make a crap song almost unlistenable. Not a patch on Every Other Saturday in my opinion.
