  1. 1872 SPONSORED WALK The RFFF 1872 SPONSORED WALK will take place at Ibrox Stadium on Sunday 20 May 2012 starting at 12pm. The walk will be 1 mile 872 yards; this will be made up by walking round the perimeter of the stadium, finishing with a final lap of the track inside the stadium. You will be allocated a time slot depending on the initial of your surname i.e. A â?? H then I â?? M then N â?? Z. These slots will be communicated on the Rangers website (rangers.co.uk). Once your sponsored walk form has been completed, either post or hand in the completed form along with cheque made payable to â??The Rangers Supporters Assemblyâ??, Argyle House, Ibrox Stadium, Glasgow, G51 2XD no later than 16th May 2012. Please tick the box provided to indicate whether you are a Small, Medium or Large t-shirt. There will only be 1872 spots available so get in fast as they will be allocated on a first come first served basis. Each participant will have to guarantee a suggested minimum of £100 sponsorship and all proceeds will go towards the RFFF. This could be your chance to walk around the famous Ibrox Stadium accompanied by Rangers Legends past and present whist helping the Club by donating to the Rangers Fans Fighting Fund. Please make cheques payable to the Rangers Supporters Assembly and write â??Fans Fighting Fundâ?? on the back of the cheque. On the day of the walk, Sunday 20th May, all participants should report and register to Rangers Ticket Centre, located at the Govan West Corner of the ground no later than 11am, where they will receive an RFFF 1872 Walk T-shirt and a small union flag. Free Car Parking will be available. Some more info on this:- The concourses will be open for refreshments and it is encouraged for families to come along and cheer on the walkers. There are plans for face-painting and other activities to keep the kids amused and it set to be a fantastic day out. There will be a commemorative plaque going up in the tunnel of Ibrox with all the 1872 participants names on it. Thats worth £100 on its own in my opinion. This is our chance to get our name on the wall of the Ibrox Tunnel forever more. Places are expected to go really fast as this is just a fantastic opportunity for us all to do our bit for our great club. Link to page at official site to download the forms. http://www.rangers.c...article/2745879
  2. There was nobody there BD to ask these questions, they just showed the video, Andy Smillie got up and said he had been told in a conf call (others in attendance verified) by Clark that it was liquidation by another name, and Whitehouse said on the dvd that it wasnt liquidation. Big Andy said one of them was lying. The chair took a couple of points and moved on, as there was no point asking questions like the ones you posted above without anyone qualified in attendance to answer them. My guess with the way this was worded was that somehow CW's shares went into the incubator company, because D&P were quite clear that in this scenario, CW couldnt block it. Not sure how that could be done legally, but that was certainly the inference. If the incubator gets switched off with his shares in it, he gets nothing. Alternatively he can either accept a price for his shares or see it liquidated. Ticketus of course would be entitled to their 10p in the £1 like other creditors, but considering their outlay and the deal they had with TBK, it is effectively getting (next to) nothing from all their underhand dealings. Like I said, there was a dvd and some quite bold statements and explanations, but nothing could be challenged. It was agreed that further questions would be asked today when the RFFF were meeting D&P around 3.30pm. We might get more out of them then.
  3. On saturday morning at the RFFF meeting of over 150 RSC reps, a 13 minute DVD was played to them featuring Whitehouse from D&P explaining a lot about the admin process and where we are at this stage. A large part of this time was taken up explaining the Miller bid, and a hand-out roue map was issued to all in attendance to explain how Miller's bid works. I will attempt to repeat this as I see it and remember it. An "incubator" company takes over the assets of the club for their protection. This would include Ibrox, Auchenhowie etc. This leaves RFC plc with only the debt in it. A CVA is offered to creditors from within RFC plc. If this is accepted, RFC plc continues as before. The incubator company is then restored back into RFC plc. Our name, assets, history and licence remain unchanged and intact. In that respect, this sounds like a brilliant plan and one that would get most fans backing. BUT The difficulty lies in the CVA. If the CVA is not accepted, and lets face it why would you bother even trying to offer a fair price, then the incubator company takes over and RFC plc is liquidated. I believe this is why you can have one of the two administrators saying Miller's bid is NOT a liquidation, and the other one saying it IS liquidation by the back door. One of the amazing things about the bids, is that under Miller's bid, assuming a CVA is rejected, Ticketus and CW get absolutely nothing which is what most fans want them to get. Under TBK bid both will get a fair chunk of money. However Miller's bid will lead to a 3 year UEFA ban, the newco SPL sanctions (if voted through today), and a loss of our 140 year continual identity, even if our history and titles can be retained, our name will be forever tarnished. To me the real reason this is taking so long is that TBK just dont have enough money to get the deal done. There quite simply is not enough Blue Knights to get the job done. This is very worrying for our future as they quite clearly have very little future funding in place, other than a fans share issue. If the best they can come up with for a CVA is £5M, they obviously dont rate the value of the club very highly. If the low bid is to keep as much money for post-admin investment, they are gambling with our entire future for their own ends. Quite simply, neither party (nor the others who have dropped out) has shown enough real desire and, when it comes down to it, money, to really really want to save the club. If they truly wanted to save the club at all costs, they would have paid a fair price many weeks ago. Im sure im not the only one absolutely sick of all of them. But we, the real lifeblood of the club, have no say or choice in the matter, we merely keep pumping our money in to the club in tickets, merchandise, etc to try to save our club. I wonder if any of the bidders would declare how much, if anything, they have donated to the RFFF in the month since it has launched? That would be interesting now wouldnt it?
  4. A bit cheeky to say "Now that all the Rangers groups are working together" when they have all been working together for probably the last year, apart from one group who walked away for a short time and now are back in the fold. However, as we are all united under the RFFF banner now, lets keep it going, starting with the immediate call for fans to buy tickets for Wednesday's game against the filthy, cheating, conning, backstabbing Arabs and make it a 90 minute verbal attack on their chairman Thompson who is one of the chief plotters against us. We have several thousand unsold tickets, so please please buy your tickets and come along. If you cant make it but can afford it, buy a ticket anyway and ensure we sell out the stadium. This is more vital to our survival than a march to hampden. Incidentally, DUFC have sold 127 of their allocation for the match. Tells you everything about that club.
  5. The one about facism and sectarianism is absolutely spot on and it was very civil of them to admit it. I wouldnt go so far as to want the individuals involved to die, but their club would not be missed by the community at large. This was quite clearly a tit-for-tat situation for the amount of stuff we did not allow them into Ibrox with a month ago and was only to be expected. The fact that there own displays were deemed suitable by their match commander tells us more about him than anything else, and we shall take note for future use. Personally, I am disappointed that their display was the best they could come up with. They have had months to come up with something really funny and entertaining, seeing as how they all love the craic and all that, and a banner wishing famine on us was all they could do. Here was me thinking famine was a taboo subject with them. I am assuming that seeing as they wish famine on us, we can remind them that the famine is over?
  6. We have ran out of options im afraid Danny, this is the best we are going to get at this time. Time to back them in their bid to save the club.
  7. My thread of yesterday was 100% accurate, and I stand by it. The couple of minor details which were holding it up were resolved as expected. However, out of the blue early this morning, a major development occured of which I am not allowed to give details of at this stage, but rest assured it is a massive issue which was unforseen yesterday and should not have happened. The parties involved are working intensely today and through the night tonight if need be to sort out the problem which came up this morning from nowhere. It has been agreed to say no more about it to let them try to resolve the issue.
  8. Bluedell, the stoary as I understand it is that Ticketus have offered Whyte the deal to give up his shares in return for them not chasing him up for his PG, involving lengthy court cases and considerable expense to Whyte with nothing really to gain out of it, but everything to lose. Ticketus have no hold over Rangers shares, their deal was with Whyte. By far the quickest and cheapest way for the administration period to close is for Whyte's shares to be delivered amicably, without the need for court action. Ticketus have apparantly agreed this deal with Whyte, and therefore that makes their position strong in one way, not knackered financially as Whyte doesnt have the assets to cover his PG. The deal between Ticketus and TBK got Ticketus some money back, and some credibility back with their investors.
  9. My info was that as long as you gave them the same rights and assurances they held under the previous regimes, none would realistically want their money back. You are better placed to answer your own question though BD, what's your thoughts on that scenario?
  10. I don't speak for TBK, and asked the same question. I'm told the whole thing about the cheque was a bit of a red herring and I know for a fact a cheque was written by one of TBK for the full £500K and would have been passed over if Ticketus hadn't tried to jump ship to ng.
  11. Re the RST, from what I can see, TBK asked them about a share issue as that is exactly what they are all about, and that is what the SaveRangers pledge site was all about, to give TBK an idea about the appetite for a fans share issue which they were always going to need to do to make any deal stack up. The RST have been liaising very closely with TBK throughout as they were the only bidder to promote a major fans share ownership model, which is of course what the RST stand for. It has not been any surprise that the RST should become the unofficial spokesman for TBK, and I think the RST have done a great job in getting info out at various important stages of the process. As for being part of the consortium, not a chance as the RST don't have the money, clout or members to be an official part of TBK, but you would think they're work would be gratefully appreciated. However the fans share issue to follow in the next 12 months (probably), will SD fans reps appointed to the board for each tier of shareholder, and these will be democratically elected, not given to the RST as I understand it. Whether anyone from the board of the RST puts themselves forward for election is up to them, the same as it is up to me and you and every other bear who puts money into it when the time comes.
  12. Re liquidation, the figures stack up, the work has been done, and those of us who have continually been saying that there is no reason for the club to be liquidated will be proven right in time. The CVA is not a difficult one to achieve with ticketus taken out per their agreement, making HMRC the biggest creditor and the discussions to date have proven to be more than fruitful. Don't take my word for that, listen to Paul Clarks interview on radio scotland yesterday with traynor and Michael grant quizzing him on exactly this issue. PC makes it quite clear that in his discussions with HMRC they are going to be able to work together.
  13. Go on, go on, we won't tell anyone!!! Ok then we understand, but we know what your thinking cos were thinking it too!
  14. Don't forget that included in the £55M debt was £7.7M of debentures holders which wont in essence require repaying.
  15. That is the "official" line as the fee still has to be paid and a couple of minor details to be ironed out, as I said in the OP, but I stand by the OP as far as I know it.
  16. No idea, there has been talks between the parties but there are no agreements in place. There is a long road ahead and I'm sure TBK won't knock back any offers of funds from any interested party.
  17. Not naming sources, it's not in mainstream yet but it will happen tomorrow. Has all been agreed I'm told.
  18. TBK have won the race to take over Rangers, and will be announced as Preferred Bidders tomorrow. Final details have been ironed out over the weekend and agreed with D&P. Ticketus are involved, but Kennedy is not, at this stage anyway. The BK will now proceed with D&P to agree a CVA with creditors before the deadlines for further footballing sanctions to be imposed. Whytes shareholding to be secured In exchange for him not being sued for his PG by Ticketus. CVA likely to agreed as talks already taken place between D&P and HMRC and HMRC are not going to be too difficult to deal with, and as they will have the major say, this will see the CVA go through. The club will NOT be liquidated!
  19. The only thing I have been certain of since TBK "withdrew" was that they hadn't withdrawn at all. I love the game of poker and play regularly. Part of the game is reading a bluff. I'm not a great poker player but their bluff was so obvious I'm surprised anyone even considered it as genuine. Don't get me wrong, I would be happy with TBK taking over as they will not go down the liquidation route, but I have been far from impressed with the way they have handled this, admittedly very difficult and complicated, situation. Bill ng had his chance to call the bluff of TBK when they played their withdrawal card, but they messed up too and now probably will lose out on their chance, although I am expecting more developments from them before Monday as they give their final effort to get over the line. If TBK pay up on Monday and get PB status, what will have changed between now and last Monday. Nothing material, just more posturing and another week of stress and heartache for us fans, and the players and staff at the club. Stop playing a poor game of poker, get your money out and get this deal completed NOW. You are getting a bargain, just get on with it now.
  20. So the poker game continues. This time Ng plays his hand in the withdrawal game. So f'n pathetic. Neither TBK or Ng have walked away from the deal, they are both posturing to try to get a better deal than the one they would have to pay for just now. Im all for them trying to pay as low a price as possible for the club to allow as much money then to be invested in the future rather than paying for the past, but in reality both groups are trying to steal Rangers for a song, so f'n pay up and get it done. The Rangers support has a long memory and if liquidation comes along because of their posturing and politicising, the 3 year Euro ban will cost them a lot more than the amounts they are posturing for at the moment, and the fans will not be so supportive. The lack of Euro footy will see us unable to attract quality players, both for financial and playing reasons, and the product on the park will be affected to the degree that attendances will fall away, and a downward spiralling effect is not too difficult to see and be frightened of.
  21. I find it absolutely astonishing that McElroy is being put forward as a fans rep on a vital committee that could hold a significant influence on the future of our club, and it is absolutely not the correct choice. We need someone who will question, probe and look after our interests in all of this. I've got to wonder how the hell this came about?
  22. Is that right Casey? I had read that the problem with it was that it was not deductable at the end and that was not common practice. Surely if it is deductable and it is just the amount that is debatable (for all bidders it seems), then D&P have to reduce it or they wont get a deal at all.
  23. Youve took it the wrong way from my intention. My mentioning of the current BBC heirarchy was irony, not support. Sorry if it came across that way as I have not a good word to say about BBC Scotland and their hatred of our club, to be clear. Ive been a Rangers fan long before Murray came and will continue to be one long after he has gone. What I wont do is thank him for his time here, or suggest he was good for us overall. A good first decade was completely eradicated by the last decade's complete mismanagement and eventual sale to a complete charlatan. At this time I wont even throw the BTC at him as I still believe we will be found not guilty or at worst be found a small percentage at blame, but should that go against us in a big way, there can be no doubt about his overall contribution to our club.
  24. Oh how I laughed at Connolly with that one. He truly was at his best in that era and I have used that quote myself on numerous occasions since and I entirely agree with it. However with the RST board I actually think youve got that the wrong way around. There are too many of the board, past and present, who wanted to be a board member and help out, go to meetings, get the inside story etc, but not come up with policy, new ideas, or be proactive.
  25. I havent seen anything that suggests the A-P bid is unravelling, but as youve mentioned it twice now I am assuming todays papers are taking this stance. I also didnt think Kennedy was discrediting the A-P bid, just that we wanted TBK to succeed. Frankly, if he wanted them to succeed so much he could have joined them, put his cash into the pot and that could have ensured a successful outcome. I agree with you regarding the £500K fee, and all talk of this suggests D&P are at it with the rules concerning this not being the normal way forward (usually you cand educt it from the final payment at the conclusion). I agree both Ticketus and D&P are inefficient, but the shareholding of Whyte has been unchanged for quite some time, so if the A-P bid (and others for that matter) was put in last week, as soon as the BK bid was withdrawn, I cannot see why A-P were not named immediately unless D&P really dont like their bid at all.
